@@TheMovieBeat However, as beautiful as this edition is, the very BEST "Wong Kar-Wai" release of the year came from a company located in Spain called "Avalon", and they have released a MASSIVE box-set with all the same films featured on the “Criterion Collection” box-set (World of Wong Kar-Wai). This box set is called “Universo Wong Kar-Wai” (you guessed it, translates to “Wong Kar-Wai’s Universe”). Wow! My jaw literally hit the floor. That’s a stunning set - absolutely gorgeous. Sorry to hear your steel book had scratches. That’s annoying! The preorder for this release was just insane. I missed In the mood for love by seconds, they sold out in the blink of an eye. I did find a copy of the full slip through a seller but had to pay nearly twice as much. It’s on it’s way and will definitely check the steel book. It was the same terrifying experience with Happy together, I got on the site at 1 minute past and couldn’t get the lenticular in my cart. I had to make a split second decision to buy the one click set which I did but I’ve spent way more than I planned. At this stage I just feel fortunate that they’re on their way and can’t wait to receive them. I’m going to have to be on my A game for the next release! Lol. I haven’t experienced a preorder like it! These preorders are definitely going to take their toll on us if we have to go through the same thing for each upcoming WKW title 🤯 but I'm so glad (scratches aside) that the end product feels worth it in hand 🤗
Use a group buy. I get all my stuff thru Media Psychos. There is also Hi Def Ninja.
Still might have to pick this up as well to go with the lenticular. I just signed up for the Chunking Express. Went with the Lenti and considering adding the Full also. I really like both.
I got some scratches on my steelbook too. It seems like it's a common issue because I've seen a few Korean collectors complain about it as well.
Yeah I saw a few pics on Instagram as well. Really hope they don't have similar issues with Happy Together and future releases. It's the first new Nova steel I've gotten that arrived in this condition...will know soon enough! 🤞
I just put in my request for "Fallen Angels". Media Psychos Group just opened. Chose Lenticular Slip.
They're gorgeous! I still can't decide which one I want. The lenticular slip will match the previous two I got but I'm loving the full slip as well.
Hey do you know if your fallen angels novamedia steelbook does work in a blu ray player Region B (Europe) ? Because if it does i want to get it too but I'm unsure if it just works for Region A

What a great release. Do you plan on picking up the Criterion boxset release at all Tyler? I'll likely go with that boxset as it's a little too difficult to get my hands on these Novamedia releases.
At this point I'll probably only have to get the Criterion box if there is no standalone release of 2046 in Korea or from Criterion by sometime mid next year (about as long as I'm willing to wait 😅)

Wow lenticular looks way better in hand. I was not impressed with pics of it and went with the Full Slip instead.
Kind of wish I had grabbed both now. I might get the Criterion set this Barnes and Noble Sale. If not, next time.

Still waiting. It's the upgrade I want most to be released here. I'm sure they'll get around to doing it but it may be after Chungking Express which hasn't been officially announced yet. Since Happy Together comes out this week, we can expect to see the details on the Fallen Angels release very soon I expect.
