Finally watched this movie after a long awaited months with available sub right about just yesterday. My Oh My!! This movie was pretty intense and keeps you at the edge of your seat the entire movie. Overall, it's a good movie but it does have few flaws and bit not realistic choices in few parts. Other than that, the intensity was great and my favorite part was the chase scene. Still worth to watch.
Nice glad it finally becomes available! Yeah it definitely has parts that stretch believability like with some of the coincidental re encounters and other strange behavior but I liked how it all contributed to the frustrating and tense atmosphere~
Where can I watch it?
@@Bethany-uh1du currently on Rent rn on Amazon Prime - just saw it and definitely worth it 👏
Hey Tyler, Boy, we’re you right! Watching two flicks like this in a row must’ve been way too much tension. With the obvious comparisons to “Hush”, I have to say I enjoyed “Midnight” more (and not just because I happen to think Korean horror is the best kind out there). The villain hiding in plain sight, the mother and daughter communicating about his “weird” behavior, the brother fleeing helping the woman to immediately help his sister (then making amends). It was way more than one gimmick. It was so fast paced and well laid out, I was glued to this one. A gem for sure! Any other newer Korean horror come your way? I’m fresh out of the classics.
Midnight is one of my fav thriller movies now
Thought this was going to be good from the trailer which made made me instantly want to see it! Glad to hear it didn’t didn’t disappoint. It’s shaping up to be a good year for release and some good titles to look forward to on future blu ray release. Thanks for the review.
Yes I think studios are seeing more people return to the theater and are becoming confident to release their bigger titles later in the year too!
omg thank you so much for the review...i'm jin kijoo fans and i really looking forward for this movie can't wait to see
This movie made me want to learn sign language. It was so frustrating to see that nobody could help her and she felt alone despite being in the midst of a crowded street “obviously” running from something/someone.
Her desperation lead her to even harm herself with the intention of killing her self..
This movie woke me up…
Its really heartbreaking when the 3 soldiers carry her to the killer.. keseeelll
No need subtitle to watch this movie.. i think.. ^^
Yeah that was crazy. So many sighs and gasps in the theater during that sequence! 😂
thank you. i just put in a request for both midnight and hard hit to netflix. They sound so good.
I hope they pick both of them up!
Hello....How do you go about putting a request to netflix?
Love your videos, keep going!! 😍😍
Thank You! 😊
I'm excited to watch this movie and Hard Hit. South Korea produces some of the best thriller movies in my opinion!
So, he is a Forest of love (japanese thriller) killer. I need to see this movie. Gotta plan a trip to korea, only for the movies and breakfast sandwiches.
Haha, yeah maybe same category kind of killer. Although this one keeps his motives and backstory very mysterious. Korea is definitely worth the trip though~ 😁
Do you happen to know how long it typically takes movies to go from Korean cinema to available to stream or buy on blu ray?
It's really random. Sometimes they never arrive on Blu-ray or even DVD for that matter, and other times they come like year after their theater release. Often, Korean movies get put onto Blu-ray in other territories like North America even before Korea. But for streaming, they can come as quick as two or three weeks after their theater run (depending how successful they are) to Korean VOD services and then Korean streaming like Wavve or Naver, this is usually when they start appearing online as well in some kind of pirated form, and subtitles will be made by someone or found from some kind of festival screener. I really wish there was a more reliable schedule but that's just the way the market works in Korea at the moment unfortunately.
@@TheMovieBeat Thank you! I'm really excited to see this and Hostage: Missing Celebrity.
@@TheMovieBeat have you heard any vod or release info on this yet?
@@DerykRonk It's a TVING streaming platform exclusive so I'm not sure how they'll go about selling the streaming rights yet. It's their third original I think, in the same boat as SEOBEOK.
I watched Waiting for rain today and now I am waiting for hard hit and this movie will be next after hard hit... 😌😌😍
Where did you watch this? Can I stream it in the US?
I watched this in the movie theater. I don't think it's available anywhere else since it was just released yesterday.

Only in korean cinema??? How about indonesia??
Is it recommended??
This movie was a terrible cat and mouse thriller with an exceptional villain and solid first 1/3.
