Plum crazy was available just before Hellraisin, & now it’s back again for ‘23. Much brighter than Hellraisin. Hard to tell since he turned up the saturation & brightness.
I live in Florida as well I own one and that car handles excellent I don’t no what your use to driving I have no complaints you can get a 6spd tires make a world of difference buy a Prius you should be happy with that
Funny you menthion the hemi reminds of of fighter planes... The first hemi Douge/anyone made was for an American Superprop which was the nickname for the most advanced prop fighter planes.... Errerly fitting for the last ICE challenger at least for awhile.
I have a 17 srt392 non wide body I feel the car just looks cleaner without the bushwhacked fender flairs. And the 392 has more than enough power. Even it’s difficult to truly put down on everyday roads And I love shifting my own gears
The Challenger as is, will be deeply missed by the classic car crowd. It, like the Stang are great homages to their predecessors. I hope the electrics that follow will not lose sights of their origins.
The word 'insane' is overused these days but this car is insane. When I was a kid we thought 300hp was AWESOME and now my work Camry has 300hp. The driving aids make it possible at all but even with suspension, stabilty, traction, brake and launch control, 800hp is still lunacy. I couldn't look at the tacho on my 400hp LS when flooring it so unless there's a HUD the dash is surely only for cruising.
I grew up in the era of the 440 six pack, 426 hemi and really love the sound. However, now in the era of EVs, the sound is all it really has, and even that gets old while you're cruising. As he stated numerous times, the power it has can't be put down to the road, no rear seat room, and seats aren't comfortable. I can get better performance out of a Tesla model 3 performance for half the price, or unbelievable performance with a model S plaid for about the same money. As much as I've loved Mopar through the years...I guess I want the go and not the show now.
You and me both! While the 440 six pack was great, I had a couple friends with '68 Hemi Road Runners and *they* were a hoot in their day. All I can say is that "Exhibition of Speed" was an expensive and not all that rare ticket in that era 🙂
@@KirkKreifels You’re right that the Scat is the way to go. I have a manual Widebody scat & with 150lbs less weight on the nose, & the Scats stiffer front springs, it turns-in much better. .96 avg. lateral G with the summer tires.
Wide body is all about function. Try controlling that power with narrower rubber. Give me the wider tires even if the fender flares take away from the lines.
His point about IC cars feeling and sounding alive or 'human' as he put it is spot on. That endearing characteristic of gas powered vehicles can never be matched or replicated with EVs. Without a doubt EVs are the future, and it does make sense, but what you hear and feel with IC powered vehicles will be sadly missed once they go extinct, especially for enthusiasts.
Yah fuel economy was one of my biggest issues with the charger and challenger. Hell the V6 challenger is pretty bad on gas too. I'd sooner get an Audi with a turbo V6. I drove a 2012 Audi A6 3.0T for a few years and that car easily got 32-36 mpg hwy while doing 90-140 mph. If you turned on AC that would dip very fast though. Never been prouder driving a car.
MEH... I live in Brampton where this POS and the Charger are built.... They are literally EVERYWHERE! Chryco Quality (or lack there of) is BRUTAL.... Sure it is insanely fast, but only in a straight line!!
All of the normal Challengers are going to end up scrap. These special editions, especially any Hellcats, will end up in private collections and still be around in 50 years.
@@markm0000 these don’t even hold up there’s no way the entire car will be still around in 50 years maybe the motor but the rest of the car will be junk
I’d rather buy a Porsche 911 for that price point 😂 I love dodges but idk it still seems to pricy for what I’m getting in the challenger when I can get a better car out of a 911
This generation of vehicles are historic. Never to be repeated as such. End of an era. 😢
DODGE CHALLENGER And CHARGER ARE THE KING OF ALL MUSCLE CARS 👑..
Any v8 dodge paired with the ZF 8 speed equals perfection
The Hell Raisin reminds me of the "Plum Crazy" color from the late Muscle Car Era.

I was toying w/ getting this over the LC500 and 911.

Agree
Fender flares no bueno
Good review
Wife wants an suv
But the attention factor would be off the charts
This car is basically an extra wife. It’s so expensive and the maintenance on top will surely burn a hole in your wallet.
Haha 😂 true
But you can’t take it with you
The seats need to be comfortable I think 🤔
Maintence? It’s just a proven v8 beefed up to handle the boost
Thinking wife would love it
Wife for sale!!!
And this is when Kirk forgot the new Prius for a brief second
That's a fkn beautiful color there
It takes a drive like no problem! That's a great car right there

V8 Hemi. That’s why it’s a Dodge. No Hemi? No Dodge!😂❤
Thanks for the review i personally love anything Toyota Amd
Lexus but variety is good too
I mean other car brands are literally nonexistent to Toyota fans
Did they fix the cams on those hemis yet? Too soon
Handles far better than you (& most) think 👍
True! I threw it around a few corners and it felt great. Heavy of course...and better not get into the gas too early 😅

U can fin a 305 and 315 with the non wide body. Just need different rims
Amazing vehicle! Would *LOVE* to have one but couldn't get it past my wife 🙂
Wide Body all day long.
Comes with a 100 gallon gas tank at no extra charge to make it to the next gas station and mortgage required (plus your left kidney), I'll pass.
100k is way too much for a Challenger. 100k is Lotus and Porsche money. I'd be happy with the scat pack widebody for 40k.
@@peaceable263 Far from the 5k for a Challenger SE 440 6-Pac off the showroom floor back in the 70s.
Bout 100 g. Right?
I love the old G Standerd body
KK, this was great. I get a kick out of watching you away from your routine.

EVs are stupid. Very inefficient and horrible for the environment.
Good car bit you'll beverage drive from o e County without refilling cuz holy this this Acrually drinks
Tempting
I thought you where able to adjust the steering to different modes?
Yes do only Sunny reviews because of cars color shining
They do have a Challenger hellcat 6 manual speed I've seen a few of them
Not in 2023 I believe.
Cool
I like it 👍
With such poor fuel economy I assume EV's have better range, cost less and are cheaper to run.

I’d lose my license within an hour
Standard body looks better, the wide body looks like half of a bagel stuck on the fenders.
The look is cool on the outside but never liked the interior. It’s been the same since 2011 and these cars are gonna be a dime a dozen in 10 yrs

Add 8k to repaint the car. That color is hideous.
You could get a manual in a hellcat at one point, maybe not now. god bless are fallen TR-6060 trannies after the hellcat motor abuses, SMH😉
