Our home got squished...

- We all have opinions about others. Assumptions and generalizations without knowing the truth about the challenges we each must face in life. For my sweetie and me, we have our home, a single-wide which I lovingly call a mini-house (just 480 square feet) where we are most of the time, squished under two very large trees!
I make videos about being on the tower, but I don't own it and now work for the nonprofit, FPTower Inc, that I started to make it so others will carry this effort forward. This is by plan and on purpose because I firmly believe that to save the Frying Pan Tower, I must make sure those who help know that they are making a difference for the next generation of young men and women who will run and manage it in the future.
I'm not getting any younger and the tower is best served when it's carried forward by others who have the time and strength and see the vision of it being a place to do research, help mariners, and showcase our amazing world of above and below the waters.
But, to open a door to my real life, I share this video with you not for your pity, but to realize that I believe along with Nancy, my sweetie, that this world is not as important as the one we will be part of with Jesus afterwards. So, if I seem a bit like Bob Ross in my admiration of the world, or like a small town preacher, I hope that you'll understand. My work and efforts will be judged at that last day and although I'm assured of my salvation through Christ, I want to be a bright shining star that when people think of, they see Jesus first.
If you can help others who are suffering in the hills from the winds and floods, please do so. From the simple things like rebuilding a school football sports field (gofund.me/a62d...) to helping your neighbor with some food or just listening to them, please do so. It will make a difference.

❤ we lost a beautiful, huge oak tree during the last rainy hurricane that rolled slowly through Texas. Still moving back in after roof repair and flooring replacement. Thankfully, small hole this time around! Hope you are able to get the equipment you need up there soon.💚🌱🕊️

What an odd twist, the tower in the ocean still stands through multiple hurricanes, but the singlewide in the mountains hundreds of miles from shore was felled. But what can we do in the face of god and the fury of nature but keep our head up and follow the path to wherever it may lead us. Living a good life is often making the best out of bad situations, I hope your next steps are blessed.

What is the chance that those two trees held your trailer in place rather than sliding down the side of the hill like it looked like some others did? Blessing in disguise, maybe? Anyway, bless you ... the Lord kept ya'll safe for a reason ....
i live in Wilmington NC . every hurricane water rush in my living room I'm disabled and so is my wife .i get on my hands and knees and dip water out my living room. i keep 2 doors caulked up to one- and one-half feet to keep water out. Life sucks.
Take rocks consciously from the river bed and build a stone structure with wooden support, if possible?
