Pretty dumb, huh...and he keeps repeating it... these are also known as motor homes. And it made me watch because there are so many great mobile (prefab) homes now.
Drove me nuts, too. I think they confuse neophytes so they can move them up from the camper or tiny trailer they want and they'd take out every weekend to something big they can't afford and never use.
And then if you want to Move the Mobile Moveable home again you can , so if they are on wheels they are All some kind of Movable home , if you can live in it , Right?
I nearly stopped watching after the first 3, as they were not showing the inside. Pointless to only see the outside. There are NOT mobile homes by the way. And the camper does not sit on a van, or suv, it sits in the back of a pickup.
I did not see one mobile home. I saw plenty of campers, travel trailers and tiny homes. Mobile homes are moved using a toter, not attached to the top of a van, or hitched to the van , truck bumper, they become a trailer. Of course there is the fifth wheel still not a mobile home.
I think they might have translated literally from German and other European languages. Possibly the video was made for a European audience. Are there Americans who need to have explained what an AIRSTREAM is? Not too many, I’d think. On the other hand, the 5th wheel camper needs to be explained to Europeans, I believe they’re completely unknown here. An RV (recreational vehicle, camper etc) in Germany is called “Wohnmobil” or sometimes “Reisemobil” Wohnmobil translates into mobile home. Travel trailers are called Caravans or Wohnwagen. The tiny homes movement has just started in Germany (taking little baby steps) and other European countries. What is called a “mobile home” in USA, a flimsy prefab house transported in sections and mostly set up in mobile home parks (trailer parks) are unknown in Europe, one only sees them in American movies. PS: They have lots of prefab houses in Germany, but these are totally different from American mobile homes. German prefab homes are assembled on the building site with prefab walls, mostly made of concrete which have electrical ducts etc already in the walls, and are usually finished within a few weeks or months (with finishing the inside) rather than taking a year and longer to finish like a standard German house. These prefab German houses (Fertighaus) also last a lot longer than an American mobile home.

Will you PLEASE stop calling every camper. motor home, 5th wheel, Class B RV, a freaking MOBILE HOME. A Mobile Home is NOT a camper. A mobile home stays in one spot. Its at least 60 ft long up to 80ft long. It can be a single wide, a double wide or a triple wide and can be one story or two stories. It may be moved if its bought as an owner may live in a different city so he hires a Mobile home / Manufactured Home Licensed MOVER to move the home. This is NOT something you can move with your TRUCK. ..A camper or RV can and is moved every week, even once or twice a day if that's what you need. It can be used as a tiny home. It can be parked behind your in laws house for two weeks (that's all the time you can put up with in-laws) or you can park it on some land you own and live in it off grid while you build a house. RVs and Campers are NOT Mobile homes/Manufactured homes. A TENT on top of your Van is NOT a Mobile Home!
It’s so you can pay more while not realizing it at first 😂😂😂 this with what we are going through right now is the lost American Dream lost in translation and maybe give some to all the homeless vets living on the pavement!
@@AliciaandChilibut the government does not need to fund it. Many people would contribute to this cause. From a dollar to 1000.00. I agree. The best part; the part I'm most curious to see is the INSIDE of these tiny homes, campers, etc. I quit watching after the second one (#19) when they just kept endlessly showing outside views from different angles.

I would agree, however, there are millions of people that actually do live in them as their home. You don't realize it until you live around it. It's not like that I'm the north, for obvious reasons, but in the South, it's prevalent.
Everyone flipping out over terminology, a mobile home was popular as an affordable dwelling to own in the 1950s, 60s, and 70s. Other than coming with wheels attached, once they were parked on a lot and hooked up, they seldom moved. Currently, these same dwellings are referred to as manufactured homes. Modern names include pre-fabricated or modular homes. All three of these are usually pretty stationary once set up. There really isn't a mobile home as we knew them 70 years ago.
If they are on wheels to travel all the time, then these are Travel Campers or Travel Trailers, not mobile homes. There is a big difference between the two in the U.S. when it comes to the word usage. Mobile Homes are designed to stay in one spot.
@dianeyoung2914 because you can travel with them. Also you can move a mobile home for real. You do it when you want to move from one spot to another. It is awesome to watch it being done

That way you can park anywhere and not be pestered or asked to leave. It needs to be able to make a quick get away as well as warn you if anyone is taking an interest in it.
