In today's episode, I will be interviewing my family members: my brother Julian, and my grandparents Nina and Pasquale. They run a successful UA-cam channel named “The Spicy Nonna,” and they'll provide us with an exclusive behind-the-scenes glimpse into their lives.
That was a lot of fun! We really enjoyed it!🔥

Vanessa I can't tell you how much I enjoyed this video. All I did was smile through the whole podcast. It brings back so many memories of my own Italian family when I was young. Nonno Pasquale and Nonna Nina are the epitome of love and humility. Something you don’t see very often these days. I didn’t see this in my upbringing but at least I’m deeply inspired. I’ve honestly never seen any of these negative comments you have mentioned. I’m pretty sure 99% of people do not think or see that.
What I find refreshing about your grandparents is that they do what they do out of love; In a celebrity obsessed age, the greatest freedom is not caring at all about external recognition. Your Nonna was crystal clear.
They are not into social media like us and there priorities are different than ours .Im sure if it was a business as supposed to a loving hobby for their grandchildren will rob them of the Joy as to why they do what they do .❤🙏Thank you for opening your home for us to see the beautiful life you live

I have been following the Spicy Nonna from the very start, when you Vanessa, first mentioned them and the new channel on your Girl with the Dogs channel.
I have ABSOLUTELY LOVED EVERY SINGLE MOMENT AND VIDEO on this wonderful channel.
In fact, I save the majority of Nonna’s cooking recipes and actually made her delicious meatloaf on Monday night for dinner and everybody who was here for dinner, which was 5, plus myself, all really loved it.
So apparently it’s on order again for sometime next week.🤣♥️
I am continually amazed at just how talented and intelligent Nonno is, with all of his artwork and everything else he does, what with fixing everything that needs fixing, his amazing garden, and simply his ways of fixing any problem at all. It’s just so awesome to watch.
There is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING that I don’t like about this channel. I LOVE IT AND VERY MUCH LOOK FORWARD TO THE NEXT EPISODE, OR VIDEO I SHOULD SAY. I ABSOLUTELY ADORE YOUR BEAUTIFUL FAMILY AND ITS EXACTLY HOW FAMILIES SHOULD BE. SO THANK YOU AGAIN, for sharing your family and all of their amazing talents and personalities. I love them both and I don't know them personally, but I am glad they agree to being filmed. I have to confess, I have a lot of Nonno's MacGyver ideas. My hubby is much happier since I have been doing Nonna"s recipes.Nono also keeps pretty amazing garden as well.😂❤

My first love is family too ❤😭My stepfather is Italian and his parents were Nonni (northern Italy) and my Nonno (Napoletan/Sicilian ) and he married my mom when I was little so genetically not Italian but no one would ever know. 😊 My grandparents esp my Nonno were the loves of my life and I feel 100% Italian because of them. Both my dad and Nonno died young as they had a rare cancer that affects those of Italian descent …but in the time I had with them they taught me SO MUCH. I truly think that’s why I respect family so much and wish my four daughters would’ve known them. I found your grandparents channel two months ago and I’ve fallen in love with them too. Your whole family is fascinating and beautiful and they help fill the void with reminding me of cherished memories . Nono reminds me so much of my grandfather…both stellar human beings ❤Wishing you health and happiness to the whole family ❤La Familia😂🎉🎉❤

It is true what they are saying. I am only a good coke for my family but if we have a party everyone gives me a good comment about what I cooked. I love to hear from my kids that they love the food I prepare for them. My food is only good for my family. I love your grandparents.

I never got to meet two of my grandparents and lost the other two when I was very young. Because of this, I love watching Nonna’s channel so much!! I would L😍VE if she could share her homemade tomato sauce recipe, please 🙏🏼
Most cultures don't argue like that and stay together which is interesting to learn from. They argue and are very distant. That's really values in keeping family no matter what.

Your Nonna's recipes are so yummy. I've made a few and I'm sure her dishes are better, but mine turned out 9k. Maybe a cookbook? Your nonno is such a talented artist, is there an art book based on his work in the offering?

I love all videos on all platforms and all channels of Nonno and Ninna.
But I think I understand where they're coming from with their humbleness because they are quite similar to my grandparents as well. (We are similar age, Julian and Vanessa, and our grandparents are similar age as well).
There is a happy side and a sad side to this.
The happy side is that your family is actually a very happy and healthy family, at least from the point of view of Gathering together (I know that each family has problems as well). But the fact that you gather around the table, cook together, eat together and tell stories, is more than 99% of other families.
The sad truth is that a lot of people don't have grandparents, don't have a strong bond with the family.
The strong bond of your family comes from love and loyalty.

Your grandparents are hands down in my top 3 favorite UA-camrs of all time and the videos are so entertaining and also just priceless to me because I feel such a connection to Julian in particular - in the beginning of this chat when he was talking about them I could see that he was starting to tear up, and I feel the exact same way about my grandma - she just turned 100 years old and I cried multiple times both the day of and for several days afterwards, not because her health is debilitated, it’s not - she’s still amazing, does laundry, lives at home (my mom lives with her), cleans, bakes cookies, goes out with friends, etc … she’s still full of life but I am constantly emotional over the fact that I know my time with her is dwindling and it terrifies me to think that someday I will have to live the rest of my life without her. I think Julian and you must feel the same way, which is what started The Spicy Nonna. I can’t say enough how much I thoroughly enjoy your whole family - I was a GWTD fan for years prior to The Spicy Nonna but now I’m blessed to be able to watch all of you! ❤❤❤

First of all your Nonni remind me of mine so much 😢 I’m also from Canada and was raised by them… they passed away a year ago 9 months apart from one another. They were married 57 years. Is your family’s museum in the Niagara area??? I feel like I went there as a kid! I wish we could purchase it since my husband is a musician, but unfortunately can’t 😢 Your grandfathers work is amazing!!! I suggest making a video on both channels of inside the museum and explain that it will be closing and if someone want to buy!!!
I watch all the cooking videos - l pause them and write down all of the recipes, l have a note book titled The Spicy Nonna cookbook
