It was God that held this family safely together. Fo me I had no lights, internet or water for 3 days…but, my home was ok. I thank God for what I have; everyday. Seek God, he will provide!
@knails5638 He, God, saw fit to take those whom He chose to take home instead of continuing on this Earth. He didn't maliciously kill anyone. So, yes, to thank Him for what He blessed us with is very appropriate at this time.
@@knails5638 I think that is a very fair question. So many survivors among us have asked, why? Even Christ asked, just before he chose to commend his Spirit to God as He laid down His life for all, especially others He knew would be victimized by this world. Many more would die of broken hearts, I think, if we could not cling to the hope and perseverance Jesus teaches still today. I often wonder why his ministry of healing was exactly three years...but I wonder lots of things and still hang on to answers I've found in His words, actions, followers and living saints who care for others as He does. Like this Mom said so honestly, we can get pretty doubtful and negative, but in our weakest moments the Lord shows a way. Don't give up; pray for all children everywhere in this fading world. Samaritan’s Purse is a volunteer relief organization based in North Carolina that has traveled worldwide, to every disaster. They have portable field hospitals, portable, feeding kitchens home & land cleanup. They showed up at my sister-in-law‘s front door in her burned out neighborhood of Kula Hawaii on the island of Maui. They brought the family food, water assisted in putting out small boring fires and brought heavy equipment to clear the burn debris from the land. My sister-in-law’s home was the only one not destroyed in her area. This is a very reliable and effective organization to donate money to. They were one of the first on the ground in North Carolina and Tennessee, Tennessee.

I saw yall's video and I felt so scared for y'all and everyone affected by this unimaginable disaster. I was praying and I'm still praying. Thank you for sharing your video. 🙏 If it wasn't for people posting videos on YT, many would never know about this amount of destruction. I live in the west central mountains of Virginia and we had power outages, trees down, heavy rains, high wind gusts, minor flooding, and schools closed for a few days here, and we really weren't expecting anything since we are 11 hours away from where Helene made landfall. Our road turned into a swift red water creek and we had some good size limbs fall, but we didn't lose our power. We were shocked to get any of that, but it's not even worth mentioning it in comparison to everyone south of us. We live in the mountains for a reason. They have always sheltered and protected us from everything. (At least they used to) Derechos, tornadoes, and now hurricanes in the mountains just has me in such a state it's hard to wrap my mind around it. It is unreal how far Helene spread her wickedness. I am grateful for videos showing all of us outside of the affected areas what has happened. Everyone needs to know of this unbelievable destruction. My grandfather's job transferred him to North "Cacalacky"(I couldn't pronounce Carolina when I was little) in Cary in 1967. I grew up in both states. For almost 60 years NC has been part of who I am. I love NC and the people there. ✨️ To this beautiful young momma, I am so happy for you and your husband and children and pets to have survived this horrific disaster. You both are braver and stronger than you thought you ever could be. Thank you for telling your story and I hope more people do tell their stories too. I think it helps to process and digest their experiences. Thank you for your service 🙏🫡🇺🇲 and your husband also for his police service. Please take care of yourselves. May God bless you all. Thanks for sharing this family's experience. All of us who have faith must be grateful for it. Faith in the true and living God of the BIble. He is our peace, joy and strength. I weep and pray for you. Here in Israel we are being challenged, because most of us don't know Him and ignore Him. But the prophets assure us, we WILL know Him. Bless you all.
Thank you for giving her time to share her experience. Absolutely awful. I live in central NC now but lived in a tiny township in Ashe County. It is so overwhelming thinking what happened to our former neighbors. There was a creek across the dirt road that was beside our tiny house. We had barely 3 feet behind our home and the mountain.
My heart is just breaking for this family! I wish I could do so much more than just pray for their safety and during this long road to healing and recovery. I am just sobbing for them. Just the trauma alone will be so hard in the coming months and even years but it does get better in time. But thank GOD they all survived and are together!! So mamy were not that fortunate tragically. It sounds like they already had a full plate and to go through this unfathomable trauma so suddenly, there are no words. I know what it's like to lose everything but the clothes on our backs in a Christmas fire as a child, so this truly touches me on a soul level. And I know what it's like to have total strangers show up and be our Earth angels. I still sob even talking about the generosity, kindness and love. I will continue to pray for everyone impacted, including this beautiful family. May God send them an army of Earth angels to get them back on their feet and restore their home and their lives. I know so well how important HOME is and how devastating and overwhelming it is to lose everything. I know it's just 'stuff' but there are things that can never be replaced...like pictures and precious keepsakes handed down from generations before us. These catastrophic events change you on a DNA level and it takes YEARS to grieve and recover, though it never truly leaves you. Kids seem to bounce back quicker than adults but they need to make sure they talk about it with their kids, they will act like it's all ok but deep inside they are traumatized and afraid. That carefree innocence has been taken. Our family never spoke of it together until not long ago and that was a mistake. Grieve together as a family. This will never leave them, there was life before the flood and life after But I pray that they be surrounded by warmth, safety, kindness, support, strength and above all LOVE, to ease their pain and assist them until some modicum of normalcy has been restored!! I wish I could be there to assist them and hug them all. They will get through this, they are stronger than they ever realized, there are happier, calmer days ahead. And I do believe in miracles and they come when you need them the most, trust me, I wouldn't be here if not for a miracle!! GOD BLESS THEM!!!!! If by chance she ever comes to see all these comments, my dear friend, I don't know you but I love you , I'm standing with you and I am there in spirit and praying for you and your family and I am sure thousands are doing the same. YOU ARE NOT ALONE!! Much love from Montreal, Canada.

I'm sorry for whatever has happened and that there has to be regulations for coming into this safe country. I imagine without rules we would no longer be safe and chaos would soon follow. Honestly, I don't know what the answer is but i know it won't help to put others down or make their tribulation seem small compared to someone else's. We have to pray for God's strength and mercy and love others. ⚓❤🙏
I'm an Asheville native and your story touched my heart. Thank you for being brave enough to share it with the world. We're in this together. God Bless you!
Me To
It was God that held this family safely together. Fo me I had no lights, internet or water for 3 days…but, my home was ok. I thank God for what I have; everyday. Seek God, he will provide!
Ya know, it always seems so, narcissist to thank God for what he's done for you! WHY, didn't he see fit to save his OTHER children¿?
@knails5638 He, God, saw fit to take those whom He chose to take home instead of continuing on this Earth. He didn't maliciously kill anyone. So, yes, to thank Him for what He blessed us with is very appropriate at this time.
@@cherylld9435 well, I just can't see it that way. Does he have his eyes closed while children are being molested and trafficked?
Be renewed🕊
@@cherylld9435 are you also thanking God, the creator of all things, for causing such brutal destruction to people, land, animals, nature? Are you thanking God for the utter pain he has caused, or being Almighty, could have prevented? I ask these questions respectfully of you. Thank you
Praying and supporting through Samaritan's Purse Australian office. Bless you all.
I greet you from Johannesburg in South Africa. We can only try to imagine what a person experiences in your situation. We don't have such events, there are parts of our country where there may be some localised flooding, severe hailstorms and snow. On occasion fires ravage mountainous areas or grasslands. Drought is the one disaster that wreaks havoc. However, with access to the You Tube, we can see what people are going through in these times, Their stories like you shared here, certainly stirs my soul and heart. We pray for God's mercy and grace to touch every person who is suffering from this devastation, May you be Blessed.
Thank you all for featuring this story. Americas need to wake up and adjust to our new-non-improved America. Where things once counted unheard of here more increasingly become common ...
Wow, I have no words! The only thing I can give are prayers!
🙏 thank you 🙏 your prayers, love and light for this family and all family's devastated by this apocalyptic storm means the world to us.

Do you say that same prayer for immigrant families fleeing devastation in their countries to the safety of America? Do you have empathy for them?
@@cathyhickson7098 yes, ma'am I would and will pray for those trying to help themselves. Do you take offense often when people share a prayer or a thought of their own?

Only organization I will donate to
Samaritans Purse would be NUCH better than GOFUNDME! These technocrats LOVE disasters and cause disasters to be the hero and make a lot of money.
@@catgonzalo1490I will see if I can donate too. I have a low income and struggling is something I never get used to. So I will see what I can muster up. 😢

God Bless You for sharing this Brave Young Ladies Story with us. Knowing that wasn't a natural storm and how it has affected so many lives breaks my heart. Yes Floridas storms were bad but the damage done in this area will affect everyone for a long time. Getting the areas infrastructure built back will take years.
I keep hearing Asheville, there are many, many other places that are in of need help 😢in western North Carolina! I pray daily for everyone impacted by Helene🙏
My heart goes out to her. Wow…I am floored. It really does make me think about how I get too carried away with worrying about material things at times.
God be with each one of you meeting your own personal needs, may all including my state just be grateful for what people have done for all. There is going to be things needed for a long time.
Such a heart wrenching experience for so many people. Thank you for sharing this video. It definitely prompted me to donate, and to pray earnestly for all those who have been impacted but the hurricanes! If each of us gives something, we can help so many! 🙏❤️🙏
My prayers are for all of you recovering from thus tragedy.
God bless the people affected by hurricanes Helene and Milton
Love the fact that this lady is focusing on what is most important! That she is able to be worried about those around her who are suffering at the same time she has lost so much is such a testimony of God in her heart! May God bless you and keep you growing spiritually through this difficult time and that your faith will shine to others to show them how you trust in your Lord no matter what!
Floridian here watching from Denver sending my love to all of those affected by Hurricanes Helene and Milton ❤
It so heartbreaking for these people. We need to pray for our country. We all need God in our daily lives and lean on him. I'm glad her family is OK.
Prayers for the Hawkins Family! 🙏 I cried through most as she shared her story. As a mother of 6, I understand the exhaustion of getting back home after a trip to Disney. To go from that to your family’s heroic measures to get back home and then save your pets, to watching your home flood, and finally, the love your neighbors showed, you have a story that needs to be shared! God bless you! ❤
While you're asking, Can you ask for prayers for immigrant families who cross treacherous waters and make dangerous treks to Escape devastation in their countries for the perceived safety of America? They have Humanity too.
Yes! I cried through your entire story! The fake news won’t tell whole stories like yours! Praise God He saved your family! 🙌🏻

Mrs. Hawkins, you are so brave and so strong and a super-hero in my mind. Your children will arise and call you blessed, like Proverbs 39. Thank you for sharing your story of horror, but also hope. May God grant His tender mercy over you and help you rebuild your house and your lives.

You are telling the story so well for so many there, for people who cannot articulate what they are suffering. It helps to hit home the magnitude of the situation. So you are actually doing a great service to talk about all the details of your terrible saga.

Thanks for sharing this family's experience. All of us who have faith must be grateful for it. Faith in the true and living God of the BIble. He is our peace, joy and strength.
