Dude, you just taught me how to effectively green screen in less than 5 minutes.... I literally did it as I was editing my first green screen clip. Thanks brutha!
Hey so I’m doing this on the iPhone iMovie, I imported a transition green screen, there’s green and blue and I can only remove one color at a time, how do I make both colors transparent
Very sad to see that you got such a less numbers of subscribers coz of ur videos are concise and directly to the point. Excellent way of explaining..Cheers!
@@VideoZeus had your videos been in 'Hindi' you have already got a bare minimum of 5M subscribers..coz internet is almost free of cost in India, and population you are already of :)
Thank you. This is perfect! I am a music teacher and want to make green screen videos to add interest to better engage my students during virtual learning.
Is there any way to have only a section of the video have the effect, I have a green screen but also a small amount of green and blue in the shot, is there any way to crop the picture?
Can you move the clip of yourself around in the window (a la photoshop, when you use the "hand" tool). And if so, how. I'd like to move the clip of myself to one side of my video. Thanks!
This was so concise and perfect. Thank you so much! Especially those neat cleaning up tools trick! As well as the distance and lighting needed for the Green screen itself! Thanks!
Really easy to understand video! I was up and running with my green screen footage in under a minute! Thank you! In iMovie, is there a way to also use titles AND green screen effect simultaneously? When I tried it, it was as though the title was trying to blend in with the green screen.
Many thanks! Yes you can use green screen and titles together. However you’ll want to export the green screen clips, re-import them, then add your titles.
Thanks, but was searching for a tool that would remove background *not* recorded in front of a green screen, and infer a green screen. Many video conferencing utilities support this nowadays. Does iMovie not?
Thank you so much for explaining that.I don't light the green screen separately. Is that why the virtual backdrop color is bleeding onto me when I do the green screen effect in post?
Thank you! Once the cropped green screen footage is placed on the timeline, is there a way to drag it to one corner of the screen, or anywhere else? I am unable to do that. Kindly help
Hi Brian, I can't thank you enough for creating such a simple to follow green screen effects in iMovies. SPOT ON. However, your green screen effects are just basic, pls add some life in them too. God bless you mate.
Loved this video and the downloadable backgrounds. Can you please tell me why the creases don't matter in my green screen since I can only use the remover on one side of the screen?
Thanks very much, Brian. Your videos are great and easy to follow. I'm really new to content production so you are making my journey a lot easier. Cheers
oh boy... so I will attempt to do this for the very first time. The hubster needs his videos edited with a background and gave me the task to do this. Wish me luck and ill come back and report on the results. Your videos are sooooo helpful.
Hi there, I tried to do this on iMovie on my iPhone 14 but I couldn’t get past the part where I am trying to add a second video underneath the original. It just goes right along side of it. It doesn’t actually drag underneath. It are the instructions different if you were doing it on an iPhone? Is there a video for that I could watch? Thank you so much
Hey there - place your background in the sequence first. Then click the plus sign to import your green screen clip, but this time click on the three dots and select green screen. That will place it on the layer above your background clip.
Wow this was really helpful! Thank you so much! Could you either do a video or help explain I’m running into some trouble with the next step. To give you context, I am filming an ASMR video I have a background video that I screen recorded from UA-cam of a grocery store. It is a role-play of me in a grocery store. I can’t seem to find a 15 minute video backgrounds anywhere. So what I’ve been trying to do is just copy paste the one minute clip over and over again but even when I click no transition, it’s still transitions and shows the timestamp on my 15 minute video every minute. I do know a fellow UA-camr said that she just gets a photo off of shutter stock, but I can’t figure out how to make a photo run like a video parallel to my green screen video? I have gone in and added the photo of a grocery store but it doesn’t give me an option to extend and pull it to the right so that as long as my video runs, the photo runs as a backdrop as well.
Thanks for this video. I am a rap artist and I decided that this year I would work on my own things for music videos and this video helped me. I was a bit nervous but you were on point and clear about what to do so I subscribed you and will be checking out your tips more often as I go. Even though this is my first time trying this, it doesn't seem so hard. Thanks! Happy New Year!
Awesome video. Just what I needed today. I am working in a cramped environment, my greenscreen needs to be close to me, since it is small (Elgato size), and still, I can see my room next to me in the footage. Thought, I have to give up or buy a bigger screen but you helped me a lot.
Thanks so much! Imovie's effect is Green/Blue screen... is there any way to make it NOT take out all the blue? Is there like a reverse of the eraser thingy, where you can click a bit and be like no, DON'T take out that bit?
The software will detect if a green screen or blue screen is being used. It will only remove one background. So if you have a green screen it will only remove the green.
Thanks! Question : i find it really hard to edit green screen movies (cutting and adding effects) as it keeps messing up the alignment between the green screen movie and the background. Am I missing something ?
@@VideoZeus just watching the video you linked. Surprising just how much one can do in the iOS version of iMovie. The one thing I think it should have is the ability to reverse a clip.
Pls help me, I have used the green screen effect once and it worked fine, after a while I had to update imovie and my mac so I did. I dont know if that is related to this, but whenever I click on the green screen blue screen effect it just doesn't work. It goes back to cutaway even after I select the green screen effect. PLS PLS PLS HELPPPPP MEEEEEE!!!!!?!
So easy to understand! Loved it! Great, well I can’t really buy all the lights so is bright light enough, I don’t want extremely good quality, just to stream and stuff
So how do I hold an object using a green screen and have it moved with me for example if I want to make myself tiny and then I move my hand and have myself move with a hand? How do I get the object or my time itself that when I move my hand to move with my hand on top of my hand?
Is it possible to have a green screen back ground in the video and apply the picture afterward but still be able to see the video overtop of the underlying image whilst the video happens over top of the green screened image?

Hey, quick question:
How can you move or resize the green screen image in I movie? Or is it just what you get?
Good question. Yes you can. By using the cropping tool. Please check out my Zoom effect video where it’ll walk you through how to crop and zoom.
Just resize the photo in photoshop
You can do that as well however most people who use iMovie don’t have Photoshop.
VideoZeus then use (ibis paint)(mobile) it’s easy and quick
I use a app on iPhone called “Photoshop mix” it’s not great, but it does the job
Short, compressed and to the point relevant information. Thanks for your efforts.

As long as you have ample lighting the creases don’t matter. The software may be able to remove creases without ample lighting but depends.
