I am an older (57) woman who wanted to learn how to use iMovie. It was very confusing. After watching your video though, it was the best instructional video I've ever watched on this subject and I want to thank you! It was thorough, easy to understand and I loved the way you visually demonstrated for us. Thank you again!
I wanted to make a new youtube account and I am a beginner and this was very useful, all of the other tutorials were going very fast and hard to follow but this was going not going too slow and not going too fast. Thank you!
I am making a gaming channel and I knew nothing about editing, again thank you! my channel is called zappy, I am only twelve and I really enjoy making videos!
@@VideoZeus One more (important) question. Before importing them, I view and name each clip with key words for quick reference once they are imported. I am used to working in Premiere Pro, which imports the clips with their names at the bottom of each clip. The names are not showing in iMovie, so I am having to view each clip to find the sections in each clip that I want. Searching "Help" comes up with nothing. Is there a way to find the filenames within iMovie?
Thanks for responding, can you send a shoutout to my Audio Visual Technology Class and to my teacher Mr Kriegel. We are watching you right now in class 🔥
As a beginner, I didn't find that this video considered the term "basic." You began to teach without explaining the types of clips (what is a clip/) or images you would use and what to do with them before you enter iMovie.
Just beginning and have been intimidated by all the editing options. I have LumaFusion an it’s a little scary so I think I’m going this route for now. Thank you so much for taking time too share.
I have a lot of big ideas and not a lot of knowledge yet. Would be nice to have someone to help along the way at times. But I’m always focused and positive on everything. Take it a piece at a time.
Great tutoring thank you. Ives been milking Final Cut 7 for too long and needed to make something quick on iMovie and this really helped. I’m the writer and director of Carts of Darkness so I’ve been through a lot of professional editing, your tutorials are straight to the point. Thank you.
In the audio is there a way to clip all the volume above the level chosen? Like the yellow peaks in the audio track. I do off road videos and sometimes get branch strikes to the mic that must be removed. Thanks
Straight to the point, all the basics laid out in a great sequence. Thanks champ. I wish to inset a video into another video, you touched on it with the photo but I still can't seem to get it right, I can manage it from my iPhone but not from my iMac, any links to a tutorial you have would be appreciated. I think it's an overlay or a picture in picture effect. Thanks again.
Okay so this is the fifth iMovie for beginners tutorial that I am coming to and I am SO relieved. This is exactly what I wanted and I was actually stuck for about 30 minutes in a spot and your video literally helped me figure it out in seconds. Thank you so much, this was a HUGE help!!
YOU GET STRAIGHT TO THE POINT! yesss thank you, this was very helpful. Ive gotten so used to editing on my iPhone that now I have to teach myself all over again. thank you againnnn great tips
this was super helpfull! The last one I was going to watch was almost an hour long and I probably would've fallen asleep by then. I'm still new to using computers so I already learned a lot about them! thanks :)
It's been a long time since the last time I used imovie and everything I know about it has been lost...so thank you my memory about iMovie is slowly coming back to me. More power bro!
Omg you are the best! I have been pulling my hair out with so many videos of horrific teaching techniques! I wanted to give up until I found you. Thank you for being awesome at step by step and explaining everything in detail.
Question!! I have an ipad pro but my desktop is Windows. Will editing using imovie from my ipad pro be possible or would I be better off to use a Windows compatible program from my desktop?
Your video was super helpful, direct and straight to the point, THANK YOU for making it! Stupid question, but that you may know the answer to... is there an easy last move correction in iMovie, like something a back arrow function would perform if I want to easily correct the last edit I did?
Big up to you! Needed to learn this skill for work projects in these weird times and this made it soooooo much easier (was getting worried and frustrated I wouldn't meet the deadline!). Cheers!
I've watched so many videos the last 2 days trying to learn iMovie. Wish I had found this one first. 10 minutes and it gives all the highlights I need to get started. Well done!
I had not done any editing in over 6 months and with the updates I just could not figure out what I needed to do. This was more than enough information to put me back on track and get my last few videos done and uploaded.
HI thanks for the tutorial! I am importing an old Super 8 movie that was converted by LegacyBox to a digital version on a flash drive. The video and audio play fine on QuickTime player, but when I import the clip into iMovie, the audio is gone. Can you help me figure out what is wrong?
Hi VZ! I am just learning how to edit my movies. I really appreciate your tutorials. I wanted to know, once you are finished editing your video and you save it, how do you get the edited video out of the bottom field? I find that when I close imove and then open it, the video I was editing is still in the editing field. Thanks! Sara
What a great tutorial - thanks!! Is there a way for me to "mute" or "edit out" a couple of comments already recorded on a video that I would like to share on social media? I am combining various video footage into IMovie. Thank you :)
Great tutorial! Can anyone tell my why its so challenging to switch from 1 project to another in the timeline, do I always to go back to the home page to switch the project I'm working on in the timeline? Also why dose my audio get lost when I import in?
@@VideoZeus Yes, that's what I found out after I called imovie customer service! I was using airdrop and they showed me how to access the files in imovie! I'm getting there!
