      I think almost any time a bow or other object is gifted, its going to leave an impression for said reviewer. Maybe im cynical, but i like it when the person reviewing the thing paid their own money for it, know what i mean?

    I don't think they design a bow specifically for me every year! However, their style of bow is what works for me best, the aggressive bow requires me to stay full engaged. From the destroyer 350 to the Experience, to the SR350 and now the Core SR. I have a specific learned style and it works. I've tried many of the other top brands and always come back to the aggressive draw Bowtechs.

    This is why I still have 2 Bowtech Destroyer 350s upgraded with Barnsdale limbs. They have split yokes that can find tune the drawstop timing by twisting them - a half-twist on each yoke leg is equivalent to a quarter twist on the main cable (which you can't do), and if you only half-twist one yoke, that's equivalent to an eighth twist to the main cable.

    Love the review and I love the Core SR!! I recently traded in my Omnia to purchase the Core SR because I loved everything about this bow. Draw cycle, shoot ability, tune ability (timelock, deadlock, griplock etc. Highly recommend this bow! I still want to to find an SR 350 because I loved shooting my brothers 350.

    That bows specs are money except maxing the draw length at 30 makes the draw rough for us longer draw guys. A 33” bow should hit 31” in draw in my opinion to not make it so stiff if a pull. That’s what I noticed when I shot one. Great review as always and patiently waiting for the next

    Great review. I purchased a cp 30 last season and the only complaint I had was the bow was just too noisy. Tried string suppressors and limb savers but it did not have a significant impact on the noise. Every time I shot the bow I was checking every bolt on the thing to see if something came loose. Finally just changed brands to solve the problem. Thanks for sharing.

    Awesome review. I'm really considering going back to Bowtech this year, but not really loving the options for sights on the core series. Honestly probably end up with an Eva gen 3 because I want the short A2A. That or try to find an old Mathews V3 27

    I was really hoping Bowtech was going to make an 80# option of the SR platform. It would add just another option for shooters, especially those who would prefer to draw more weight but on comfort. The SX80 is a near perfect western hunting platform, I just wished it had all the new tech. I am sure it will happen next year, but I think the SR and SS34 platforms both need and to keep the 80# options.

    Great content as always. I think that the performance setting was so bad bc the bow maxes out at 30” and you had it maxed out. Somebody who has a 28” draw would feel a lot different IMO. Thanks for the reviews!

    If you're going to use the cable gard to tune the bow you have to be very careful that you don't undo it to far, it is under a lot of tension and is near impossible to get back on, i would advise not too touch it.

  • @The-Jokes-on-You
    @The-Jokes-on-You 6 місяців тому

    Great honest review. I personally think the SR350, which i own is a nicer bow (especially draw cycle). This Core SR has the WORST draw cycle even in comfort of any of the new bows I've had the chance to try out (so far only tried the Hoyt, Mathews, & PSE). As a consumer I'd stick with an SR350 or other Bowtech model. The handful of new improvements on the Core SR fall short for me to justify buying this model especially when the competition has a nicer product at the same price.
    I don't mind saying the uncomfortable part more bluntly, Bowtech doesn't give me anything so I'm fine hurting some feelings (and I own two of them, they make a great bow) but they missed the mark this year.

    To me, I would buy the 50lb, put it in performance and have a bow shooting like others at 60lbs. I have a Realm-X at 50lbs and shoot it on performance. No problem shooting all day and complete pass throughs, The He=man guys could do the same with 60lb Core Sr

    The performance setting should be good for the average guy that shoots 28-29" draw and 60 to 65 lbs. I wish bowtech would bring back the destroyer 350. That in my opinion is the best bow they ever built. Smooth stable and screams ng fast.

    Any bow set to its longest draw length will have a harsher draw cycle. You're a 30" DL, that bow's max DL is 30". Set it to 29" and give an opinion on that. You might like that draw. Won't be able to use it... but..
