unfortunately using the coupon is still over $2000 , can't figure out why the shipping cost 150$ is more expensive than S1 while it is lighter than it is~
The price of the ZX in Europe is close to $3000 so it’s a $1000 extra for a 10 speed setup and a couple of lights, though I suppose a big chunk of that will be the higher rate of duties charged for Chinese bike imports
No throttle included in the European one. So you can only do pedal assist (unless you buy the throttle). Also seems like they capped the top speed from pedal assist for European safety standards. But in theory both have the exact same speed.
I picked up both the s2 and ZX at the same time … ZX is impressive with its smooth ride but the S2 is a way better equipped bike with all its aggressive features
I live in France, and yeah the ZX is a very compelling offer. Tax is included in Europe, so yeah. Another thing, the seat position is higher and the wheelbase is longer. And I think it comes (unfortunately) with a cadence sensor, but I think I can swap it out for a torque sensor. Kind of a bummer that it doesn’t come with suspension, but I understand why, as it would be closer to the S2 in terms of specs and price. I think I’m going to upgrade from the ZG !
Hi @Marco Moon, I'm from France too and this ZX is definitely the one I'm considering. As of now I'm looking for an alternative suspension as 365€ is definitely too much.. Have you bought yours already? And what about the torque, do you think it's feasible? @Peter Parker Thanks for the very informative and concise video
I tried it out in store and purchased it earlier today! Should be coming in July. I was going to by the S1 that day but absolutely lucked out with waiting. I also used your code!
615 watt-hour removable battery and a motor capable of outputting up to 1350 watts of peak power. Range is 20 miles, breaks are tektro but not hydrolic. Hope that helps
Here the reason i think z1 is better than zx 1)zx is taller than the z1. Its funner lower trust me. 2)the battery life isnt as long as it should be. Better than z1 tho but not by much on flat 3)it only goes 28mph tops as stated in specs. Z1 can go 28mph and u can find used for under 1k If range is an issue buy an extra battery.
I was set on buying an s2 in the next week, but now I am faced with this decision lol. If the ZX had front suspension and lights, I would definitely choose it, but without those...I think I'm going to have to go with the s2!
Thank you for another great video Peter! That new ZX looks amazing and at a really great price! Strange that in Europe it has so many added features isn't it. (Of course the price is higher too) It's very cool though! Stay safe!
If you want a European ZX, find a way of covering the postage cost from the UK and I might be able to get you one for around 1,800 GBP, but that would still work out at about 2,500 USD, so very expensive just for some lights. That said, I really want a throttle and nowhere has them in the UK. If anyone knows where I can get one, hit me up!
While I understand that these bikes are more like mopeds than traditional bikes, it still feels like EA selling DLC by making you buy the 10 speed cassette separately.
It’s because the US regulation doesn’t prohibit throttle operated bicycles on public roads and bike lanes, whereas EU forbids it. If you’re single speed, with a bigger ratio you’re gonna have a hard time pedaling from a dig and with a smaller one you’re gonna have a very low top speed. It’s kinda mandatory to have the 10 speed cassette just so it rides like an actual bicycle
Yes the euopse models are also more expensive than in the usa, thank you for sharing the ZXsuper73,, ZX I think is super cool 😍 and maybe buy bine shortly before my girlfriend, when it comes here in Belgium, I have the RX and have have a lot of fun with it as well for work and weekend ride, you are always welcome on my channel for a comment or something else ✌😜⚡
What about the fact that it has no shocks? You would get the ZX over an S2? SUPER73 doesn’t even mention that it doesn’t have suspension, and they won’t post my review that mentions that fact. The reviews on the SUPER73 site are BS. They filter them and decide what they want to be posted. Love my S2 but I’m bummed that I ordered a ZX and then found out it doesn’t have suspension.
Sorry to hear that man. I know that Tristan posted a video on the bike the day of the launch. Emphasized the part of the suspension. But that is a deal breaker for some people, and I even mentioned it too (in the next video).
@@thepeterparkershow thanks. Yeah Tristan’s video is how I found out - but I feel like it should have been clear on super 73’s website… after I saw I saw Tristan’s video I called super 73 and the person I spoke to said he didn’t know what I was talking about, because he said the ZX comes with shocks… so it’s been really confusing. I would have cancelled the order but he since told me it comes with suspension, I didn’t - but then I saw another UA-cam video that said it doesn’t come with shocks. By that time the bike was already on its way… I called super 73 and left a message explaining my problem but they have never even called me back. My neighborhood has curbs everywhere and I ride all the time so, yeah, shocks are a total imperative. The description of the ZX on their website says it’s one of the most comfortable bikes they’ve made - and it didn’t mention anywhere that it didn’t have them, so I assumed it had shocks. It’s a bummer cause I love their bikes, the way way they deal with customers is whack… I even left a review and they didn’t post it cause it was negative. I’ve bought two bikes from them and they don’t even post my review, or get back to me about my problem? A pretty BS way to treat costumers. Again, love their bikes - wish they were a cooler company.
Big mistake buying a European bike ….EU directive 168/2013 has governed all e-bikes in Europe since January 1st, 2017. It says pedal-assisted electric bikes with a top speed of 25 km/h and maximum continuous rated power of 250W are treated as regular bicycles that can be ridden without a helmet
That’s what I was thinking too! I’ve read that European ebike laws are very strict compared to the US and the ending result is a market of low watt motors and low top speeds.
@@aeskellion u do know that’s like 15mph in the USA u got bikes doing 48 kph that’s 29mph but the laws changed now to 1000watts which is still slow I ride a high power cycle made here in chatsworth I have a Typhoon Starting at $6,995 Part Bicycle. @@icedave2004 you forgot the fenders too and we get 2years warranty!

You can install a throttle easily on the eu version

Yee! Bike definitely looks amazing like the whole super line!
Is there a difference between the USA speed to the Europe one

Good points about the EU version. More things to come for the US version. It's an absolute blast to ride. Have fun and ride safe.
Looks awesome! How is hill performance? Are steep hills problematic for these e- bikes?
They can handle hills depending on your weight but unfortunately these bikes can’t handle very steep hills.
