If they've used parts from the Volvo group, why haven't they also used their hybrid power system with a small petrol or diesel to cruise with. A little 1.5 diesel engine would be more than enough power to let it cruise at 22 knots all day long.
hybrid is just a band-aid solution. just guy pure ICE or pure electric, two drivetrains = 2x the problem, weight and cost. Hybrid's biggest pros are a more responsive throttle and regen when braking, both dont really matter for a cruising boat
