Wish F1 23 allow players to customize driver names like Formula One 98. I spent more time on customizing driver names on them. Example, i rename "Pedro Diniz" on Arrows F1 Team to "Ayumu Uehara" and "Ricardo Rosset" on Tyrell as "Makima" in F1 98. Fun times.😂
Good memories. OK, not the best of games, but I'd already bought it, so I played it, and I did it a lot. I'd like to revisit it someday, now that I'm a better driver. But about the time I've bought it I've already mastered NFS 2 to 5, GT1 and 2 and Ridge Racer 4. But this one was undriveble, unless you turn on most if not all of the driving aids. Arcade mode was somewhat fun though, since there were no rules, and you can drive like a maniac crashing on everyone and cutting corners. Fun fact: Jacques Villenueve, current champion, didn't want to appear in the game, so instead they just put a helmet for a picture with a name that you could edit.

Yes, the same Visual Sciences that assisted in the port of the original GTA for PlayStation, with the same ViSOS Framework. It's a shame this sequel was SO poor. Even Formula 1 99 was a return to form, and that wasn't a marvelous game either.
Happy 25th Anniversary to the WORST FORMULA 1 GAME EVER, FORMULA 1 98! I still remembered a lot that the handling in Formula 1 98 is like a truck in Grand Prix Mode but constantly drifting in Arcade Mode. This was also the LAST ever F1 game to feature fully customizable driver names.

i rented the shit out of f1 and 97 and bought this one on release. i hated it so much i returned it. fortunately i was not disappointed again in 99.

Well, this is the worst F1 game in PS1, the best game in this system was F1 97, which has better physics and graphics.
