I actually meet Kisu 2-3 years ago when he came to my fiancé art martial class. And what a great guy! Got an autograph from him on one of my Avatar book and we talk for a few minutes. He invited us to go at a restaurant with them but we couldn't since it was mother's day. Funny, gentle and genuine man. Wish I could meet him again And he was so hype when we showed him our ATLA cosplay 💙
No question, Avatar The Last Airbender was the greatest show to ever air on Nickelodeon. The Legend Of Korra was also good despite its fair share of problems.
If there ever is a new Avatar series about the Avatar after Korra, part of the plot needs to be them searching both the human and spirit worlds for a way to reconnect with their past lives, and we could see some unseen adventures of each Avatar in the process.
We can also state that it was a giant hit when it first aired on TV back in '05. It just didn't have the streaming services and social media platforms that we have now to boost its popularity but a giant hit nonetheless.
I had noticed little Korean details in clothes, especially Sherlock Sokka. I thought the animators were simply using various asian cultures as inspiration, but now I know why.

Big mistake on koras part to make it modern. It took away a little of the mystery. Yes I get that technology advantage but if you allow technical support then an army of firebenders get shot. Airbenders remove air from the lungs but a gun can shoot you a mile away. There’s a reason guns ruin your world as well. Then there’s cars. If you have a car you have a tank. A plane. An aircraft carrier. The connection to nature is lost. Pollution,extinction and overpopulation. Kora is not as fun as the first.
Tbh, all the reference footage they took for the fight scenes make me respect and love the show so much more 💕
It expresses their dedication to make a good show. Avatar is a reason why I got into martial arts.
