The worst liar in the game is the Dragonborn himself. Every time a guard stops him and says "hey I know you" he says "you must be mistaken" and EVERY TIME the guard sees right through the lie!! Hands down the absolute worst liar. 0/10 at lying.
I had Moira send bounty hunters after me for killing Anise; the visual of a hagraven going out and hiring thugs to beat up the Dragonborn is really funny to me.
Rorik from Rorikstead. There is no way the town was settled by him "after the war" unless he and Jouane were immortal as Rorikstead is mentioned in books that place the town being over 4,000 years old.
Maybe they were clouds. Like the stars in Tamriel aren't stars like they are in real life, they aren't distant burning balls of gas, they're something magical or god-like. So maybe whenever it rains, it's two clouds having a deadly verbal debate.

At certain point why not conjure odahvin or durvenir (i know i wrote their names incorrectly) or some shit and slain everyone there, could use some conjuration and shit
What I usually do is I push her in to the mine before actually walking forward, so when I enter it locks behind us. I kill her, loot her, kill the other prisoners then escape
Do you remember where he takes you? Whenever I get a bandit contract I always get that place and when I murder to death all the bandits it doesn't count that I cleared it. I don't get my bounty nor does it say that I finished it until I do that random encounter you mentioned, for the life of me I can't remember the place he takes you!
Actually, Helgi IS mentioned in the game. Helgi is the ghost daughter that helps you in the quest "Laid to Rest" in Morthal. She's the one who tells you the truth about who set the fire and what is going on in the city. The wiki mentions a theory that they wanted to turn Helgi because they knew about her magical powers, and that she would be a powerful weapon on their side. Just thought I'd mention! :)
Ok so yes, Helgi is the name of the ghost girl from Morthal. So why does Anise's letter specifically say, "renounce that boy of your's and join us"? Would seem to indicate a son they want this Helgi to abandon so that she can join them. My theory is that either they got the name wrong and forgot that they had a dead little girl named Helgi in the game or it was meant to refer to a character that isn't in the game. I thought for years that the letter was talking about HILDE, Sven's mother in Riverwood.
2:07 Forrelhost is the only dungeon where you can get a full Ancient Nord Armour set. A lot of them,: every ghost wears one... When you wear a suit and get back to any city, guards will comment that you reak of death, and they will ask if you have been graverobbing !!! :)

Rooks AndRoses that's the only Helgi in the game I remember. But that's unlikely, since letter mentions some "boy" this particular Helgi must renounce in order to form a coven, while Helgi in Morthal lived with her parents. Thus I doubt this letter was for her.

One time i went to Anise's cabin, she was meeting with 2 necromancers. When they detected me, the necromancers turned hostile on both me and Anise, i helped Anise kill them and then Anise said "Fool, no one can know my secret" and then turned hostile on me.
I always thought the reason why Sabjorn had the black briar mead hidden away in his room was to sample the bottle so he could make a brew that would compete in taste with the Black-Briars. By doing so he could make his brew have a much more impactful flavor than the Briars.
every character has sooo much depth in this game it is so amazing. Thats why it is so much easy to go on random killing sprees in a game like RDR2 because it has no impact, and you dont feel as if you are truly "erasing" someone from the game
Always thought that Valmir was a lost opportunity by Bethesda. It at least suggests that the Thalmor are after the Dragon Priests' power and they could have made them a rival in several other quests to get those masks or potentially have them appear at times in the ruined city in the middle of the map looking for additional sources of power for their eventual war efforts.

I'd suggest Beem-Ja, the Argonian Mage found in Ironbind Barrow. He's the bodyguard to a Redguard woman named Salma, and when you arrive at the entrance to the dungeon, you'll find the two of them preparing to go inside and find the treasure within. they'll invite you to join them on their little spelunking adventure. After going through most of the dungeon, you'll come across a room with a tomb inside of it, and out will climb Warlord Gathrick, a Draugr who can even spawn as a Dragon Priest at higher levels. Gathrick is actually the strongest Draugr in the game, surpassing even Red Eagle and the Gauldur Brothers. Once you've sufficiently murdered him to death, Beem-Ja will say that while Salma was only here for the treasures within the dungeon, he was here specifically to kill Gathrick and absorb his impressive power. But in order to do that, he must make a blood sacrifice. Your blood to be precise. He will turn hostile and begin to attack you, and Salma will actually join you in fending off her ex-bodyguard. Looting Beem-Ja's corpse will reveal a letter from Salma's father, in which he warns him not to let any harm come to her. Should he fail to do so, some nefarious deeds that he performed in Black Marsh will be made public. But should he protect her, he will earn both his freedom and an unknown book that he supposedly seeks. We never find out what the book is, or why he so desperately wanted the powers held by the Warlord within the Barrow.
Helgi is not Anise's sister. If you'd analyze the letter, it says "My sister will be here soon." Therefore, if they are indeed siblings, then she should have said: "Our sister" instead. Also, it would be nice to make a theory video on that "Helgi" person in the letter. There's a lot of theory on who this person is as the Helgi that we met in Morthal was only a little girl (and also dead) and therefore can't be the person being addressed in the letter. Personally, I think she's referring to Sven's mother (Hilde) and the name Helgi was put there by mistake.

There is something I would like to point out. You frequently say having human skulls in someones home is a sign of some kind of guilt but its pretty well established that many in tamriel use them for decoration and it has no greater significance. Such practice even took place IRL in older times.
What about the random encounter of a guy in Breezehome claiming the home to himself. Tell Proventus Avenicci about it and you can follow him to Breezehome where he kicks the guy out.
I had a mod which put him in the game he scared the hell out of me than used a paralasis spell on me and threw me out my house. I went to the yarl he sent previntis and a few gurdes to kick him out turns out it was his home before he went to join the great war and after disappearing his house was talking. He was caught by the thalmore and tried desperately to get home. When he got their he thought I was a burglar. It was sad he lost his home.
I downloaded the mod, and he just mocked me and kinda just made it seem like he was a squatter. Said I’d have to kill him. So I did and earned a bounty.
The best liar are the guards. I was talking to them and they said that they was honored to meet the harbinger then I talked to them again they said I fetch mead for the companions. Those useless (5$-2/@
I think the bottle in Sabjorn's room was a gift/bribe from Maven. There's a letter from her in his room asking him to sell his meadery to her. The bottle of Blackbriar Reserve under Sabjorn's bed was probably part of a gift basket or something.
I have a theory regarding Sabjorn. The fact that the black briar mead bottle is inside a bowl probably is a reference to the fact that centuries ago people used a small bowl placed under their beds to urinate during the night. Maybe black briar mead is compared to pee(?) maybe it's a little easter egg
When I met Anise in my first playthrough, I was playing as a thief, and thought robbing an old lady without her seeing would be easy. I just took a few valuables and left. Later on, a group of hired thugs attacked me, and I found a letter from Anise on a body. After that, I walked up to her then killed her. Because of this, I decided to take everything she had, cause she didn't need it. That was when I found the trapdoor and realized that she was evil. So technically the thief who murdered an old lady was a hero in some way.
Degaine has my favorite line in the whole game. If you cast certain spells near him he says "Great. I'm gonna be killed by a crazy wizard!". I laugh hysterically every time
I remember that first guy. I never saw him going but I saw him going out and was confused when he was like "I uh, I can explain..." I was like "Explain what?" Then he started attacking me and I was so confused
I kind of fell for that Thalmor fake captain at first because I decided to do my first playthrough as an elf joined the stormcloaks and thought "well if Ulfric let me join maybe theres another elf in the stormcloaks as well that proved himself"
With respect to the mead, the mead is found in a dish under the bed. Not a cup. They used to keep 'bed pans' under the bed, for when latrines were commonly outside, so that you could urinate into it at night without having to go outside. So assuming that that's a bed pan. It's not that he doesn't like it, but showing that he thinks it's "piss"
im surprised the vampire serving as court wizard in solitude got a pass. Surely she's the most devious of them all. She even sends the dragonborn out to go kill some vamps to cover her tracks. I honestly wish their was more plot associated with her. She's the gold standard of what I would do if I was a vampire. Screw blocking out the sun.
Hey Nate did you know that in Solitude a woman named Vivienne Onis tells you she has a sister named Fura and in Castle Volkihar is a vampire called Fura Bloodsmouth who might be the sister. (Sorry if they are mistakes i am French )

This one isn't hidden, but there's the Riften guard that tries to make you pay to enter the city the first time you visit. Or the dude from the Thieves Guild that lies to you about the girl that went missing, but you find in a dungeon on a quest with him. I forgot all of their names lol, it's been a while.
Something I hadn't noticed before about that first one. Valmir's note might be the only thing in the entire game that even suggests that you take the dragon priest masks to Labyrinthian, instead of just leaving you to stumble across the dragon priest shrine on your own.
Hey Nate I found a small detail in the outsides of Valthume south west of the map. Right side of Valthume there's a small unmarked cave and there's two trolls fighting and a dead adventure named Forfnir Trollbane...make of that!!!! Looking forward to see this in a video. I think Arvel the Swift should be on the list. He is one of the first liars the dragonborn can encounter in the game. I remember my first trek into Bleak Falls Barrow he told me to cut him down from the web and he'll explain everything so I did and he took off running. Had to chase him down and put him down. 😂
What about the weapon shop keepers who said they sell "The Best" weapons and arms.And hot food type shop keepers saying everything to suit your needs..... EVERYTHING
Hey Nate I have a tiny detail that you may not have known about i would love to see you use it. In the mission "The horn of Jurgen Windcaller" After you attempt to retrieve the horn and then have to talk to Delphine about renting "the attic room" if you were to rent a regular room and then sleep in that room for the night, then tell her you wish to rent "the attic room" you'll hear a unique dialog for Delphine where she'll ask you why you didn't ask for that room in the first place. I know it's nothing major but like you said it's called tiny details. Love your videos, hope this is interesting
As for Valmir, you don’t need to join either army, just follow either Hadvar or Ralof out of Helgen at the start, then go to Forelhost without joining either army. Moira doesn’t send thugs after you just for killing Anise, you need to steal anything from the cabin that belongs to Anise.
Valmir appeared as an Imperial for me and I haven't claimed affiliation to either Imperials or Stormcloaks. Only played through twice and the first time I was affiliated with Ulfric.
For me biggest Liars were also: Saadia - the moment we mentioned ppl are looking for Redguard women she immediatly takes us someplace without prying eyes to threaten us - means she is guilty for sure. Next on my list is the bandit we meet in Bleak Falls Barrow - Arvel the Swift which asked us to release him in exchange for The Golden Claw aaaand than he runs from us the moment we set him free :D First time I played I was staring like a stupid little brat having his scandy taken and didn't know wtf happened. The third and biggest liars I remembered most were the entire Severin family in Raven Rock on Solstheim - they built trust for years just so they could get closer to get the target of their revenge and even when we managed to see Tilisu Severin in The Ulen Ancestral Tomb she still was lying to us that she did this to just take care of the abandoned tomb.
You have done so much for us with your Skyrim content thank you. But some of these "you may have missed" are as old as nobody could in fact miss them. For example everyone already knew about Anise and that Elf liar for ages!
Funny thing is I actually killed valmir by accident using the Storm Call Shout. I kind of freaked out after realizing he was being attacked( my own follower was broken and was completely Motionless in the first area of the dungeon) but after it just randomly said objective complete kill valmir I just burst out laughing.

Didnt see anyone mention this so here goes. Anise' Cabin is Northwest of Riverwood, slightly south of Bleak Falls. Not southeast of Riften. Nate, never change.
2:17 literally never knew this. I always would see him, see him approach, think him a bandit, and then kill him and find the strange orders. So I always assumed after that he would just be hostile. xD
If you're on the upper area of forrelhost ( I can't remember how to spell that. This was my best guess. ) when the enemy faction soldier is speaking with Valmeer ( again, the correct spelling escapes me ) and sneaking successfully. If neither of them detects you, the enemy soldier will grow suspicious of Valmeer through a series of dialogue. He will eventually become hostile to him and they will fight it out, the winner will then be your enemy when you jump down to the lower area. I happened to find this out on accident after the second time I played through this quest. I was trying to snipe a dragon on one of the adjacent mountainside dragon ' lairs ' with my bow, ( successfully I might add!😎) when I happened to notice some dialogue that I didn't remember from the last time I had completed that quest.
I do have on glitch you can cover, unless you have, but there's a random dead dragon that follows me when i fast travel, and i know its the same one cause i can use it like a mobile chest
General Tullius should be on the list in regard to his instruction to Rikke to embellish the claims about Ulfric to fool Balgruuf into siding with the Empire
Anyone else notice that Captain Valmir as an imperial officer has armor similar to General Tullius? I've never seen him wear that set before even when sided with Hadvar after escaping Helgen. Only ever seen imperial soldiers light armor and storm cloak officer armor. @1:00
Actually i truly believe that Captain Valmir could be another hint towards Ulfric working with Thalmar all along, because he could get his hand on that Officer Stormclock outfit. We already know he can easily get one, because they are in peace with Empire, and basically Thalmar has a lot of influence in the Empire anyway. But what about Stormclock?? Sure he could kill one of them and get one, but they are high ranking stormclock officers and hard to beat and they’re usually surrounded by a lot of soldiers... If we also wanna consider what we found about Ulfric in the Embassy...What most likely happened is, Ulfric is already working with Thalmar for keeping Civil War conflict in Skyrim.
I'm harbouring the theory that, due to the location of the bowl under Sabjorns bed, and the lack of indoor plumbing, he may actually be using the black briar brew as decoration for his piss pot.
The biggest liar is the Dragonborn saying "It won't happen again" after shouting.
Especially if you're like me using Whirlwind Sprint, getting stopped by a guard, then IMMEDIATELY using it again right after I said I wouldn't.

every character has sooo much depth in this game it is so amazing. Thats why it is so much easy to go on random killing sprees in a game like RDR2 because it has no impact, and you dont feel as if you are truly "erasing" someone from the game
Always thought that Valmir was a lost opportunity by Bethesda. It at least suggests that the Thalmor are after the Dragon Priests' power and they could have made them a rival in several other quests to get those masks or potentially have them appear at times in the ruined city in the middle of the map looking for additional sources of power for their eventual war efforts.

I'd suggest Beem-Ja, the Argonian Mage found in Ironbind Barrow. He's the bodyguard to a Redguard woman named Salma, and when you arrive at the entrance to the dungeon, you'll find the two of them preparing to go inside and find the treasure within. they'll invite you to join them on their little spelunking adventure. After going through most of the dungeon, you'll come across a room with a tomb inside of it, and out will climb Warlord Gathrick, a Draugr who can even spawn as a Dragon Priest at higher levels. Gathrick is actually the strongest Draugr in the game, surpassing even Red Eagle and the Gauldur Brothers. Once you've sufficiently murdered him to death, Beem-Ja will say that while Salma was only here for the treasures within the dungeon, he was here specifically to kill Gathrick and absorb his impressive power. But in order to do that, he must make a blood sacrifice. Your blood to be precise. He will turn hostile and begin to attack you, and Salma will actually join you in fending off her ex-bodyguard. Looting Beem-Ja's corpse will reveal a letter from Salma's father, in which he warns him not to let any harm come to her. Should he fail to do so, some nefarious deeds that he performed in Black Marsh will be made public. But should he protect her, he will earn both his freedom and an unknown book that he supposedly seeks. We never find out what the book is, or why he so desperately wanted the powers held by the Warlord within the Barrow.

Helgi is not Anise's sister. If you'd analyze the letter, it says "My sister will be here soon." Therefore, if they are indeed siblings, then she should have said: "Our sister" instead. Also, it would be nice to make a theory video on that "Helgi" person in the letter. There's a lot of theory on who this person is as the Helgi that we met in Morthal was only a little girl (and also dead) and therefore can't be the person being addressed in the letter. Personally, I think she's referring to Sven's mother (Hilde) and the name Helgi was put there by mistake.

There is something I would like to point out. You frequently say having human skulls in someones home is a sign of some kind of guilt but its pretty well established that many in tamriel use them for decoration and it has no greater significance. Such practice even took place IRL in older times.
What about the random encounter of a guy in Breezehome claiming the home to himself. Tell Proventus Avenicci about it and you can follow him to Breezehome where he kicks the guy out.

I had a mod which put him in the game he scared the hell out of me than used a paralasis spell on me and threw me out my house. I went to the yarl he sent previntis and a few gurdes to kick him out turns out it was his home before he went to join the great war and after disappearing his house was talking. He was caught by the thalmore and tried desperately to get home. When he got their he thought I was a burglar. It was sad he lost his home.
I downloaded the mod, and he just mocked me and kinda just made it seem like he was a squatter. Said I’d have to kill him. So I did and earned a bounty.

I think the bottle in Sabjorn's room was a gift/bribe from Maven. There's a letter from her in his room asking him to sell his meadery to her. The bottle of Blackbriar Reserve under Sabjorn's bed was probably part of a gift basket or something.
I have a theory regarding Sabjorn. The fact that the black briar mead bottle is inside a bowl probably is a reference to the fact that centuries ago people used a small bowl placed under their beds to urinate during the night.
Maybe black briar mead is compared to pee(?) maybe it's a little easter egg
When I met Anise in my first playthrough, I was playing as a thief, and thought robbing an old lady without her seeing would be easy. I just took a few valuables and left. Later on, a group of hired thugs attacked me, and I found a letter from Anise on a body. After that, I walked up to her then killed her. Because of this, I decided to take everything she had, cause she didn't need it. That was when I found the trapdoor and realized that she was evil. So technically the thief who murdered an old lady was a hero in some way.
Degaine has my favorite line in the whole game. If you cast certain spells near him he says "Great. I'm gonna be killed by a crazy wizard!". I laugh hysterically every time

I kind of fell for that Thalmor fake captain at first because I decided to do my first playthrough as an elf joined the stormcloaks and thought "well if Ulfric let me join maybe theres another elf in the stormcloaks as well that proved himself"
With respect to the mead, the mead is found in a dish under the bed. Not a cup. They used to keep 'bed pans' under the bed, for when latrines were commonly outside, so that you could urinate into it at night without having to go outside. So assuming that that's a bed pan. It's not that he doesn't like it, but showing that he thinks it's "piss"
im surprised the vampire serving as court wizard in solitude got a pass. Surely she's the most devious of them all. She even sends the dragonborn out to go kill some vamps to cover her tracks.

Something I hadn't noticed before about that first one. Valmir's note might be the only thing in the entire game that even suggests that you take the dragon priest masks to Labyrinthian, instead of just leaving you to stumble across the dragon priest shrine on your own.

I think Arvel the Swift should be on the list. He is one of the first liars the dragonborn can encounter in the game. I remember my first trek into Bleak Falls Barrow he told me to cut him down from the web and he'll explain everything so I did and he took off running. Had to chase him down and put him down. 😂

Hey Nate I have a tiny detail that you may not have known about i would love to see you use it. In the mission "The horn of Jurgen Windcaller" After you attempt to retrieve the horn and then have to talk to Delphine about renting "the attic room" if you were to rent a regular room and then sleep in that room for the night, then tell her you wish to rent "the attic room" you'll hear a unique dialog for Delphine where she'll ask you why you didn't ask for that room in the first place. I know it's nothing major but like you said it's called tiny details. Love your videos, hope this is interesting

Valmir appeared as an Imperial for me and I haven't claimed affiliation to either Imperials or Stormcloaks. Only played through twice and the first time I was affiliated with Ulfric.

For me biggest Liars were also: Saadia - the moment we mentioned ppl are looking for Redguard women she immediatly takes us someplace without prying eyes to threaten us - means she is guilty for sure. Next on my list is the bandit we meet in Bleak Falls Barrow - Arvel the Swift which asked us to release him in exchange for The Golden Claw aaaand than he runs from us the moment we set him free :D First time I played I was staring like a stupid little brat having his scandy taken and didn't know wtf happened. The third and biggest liars I remembered most were the entire Severin family in Raven Rock on Solstheim - they built trust for years just so they could get closer to get the target of their revenge and even when we managed to see Tilisu Severin in The Ulen Ancestral Tomb she still was lying to us that she did this to just take care of the abandoned tomb.

accident using the Storm Call Shout. I kind of freaked out after realizing he was being attacked( my own follower was broken and was completely Motionless in the first area of the dungeon) but after it just randomly said objective complete kill valmir I just burst out laughing.

If you're on the upper area of forrelhost ( I can't remember how to spell that. This was my best guess. ) when the enemy faction soldier is speaking with Valmeer ( again, the correct spelling escapes me ) and sneaking successfully. If neither of them detects you, the enemy soldier will grow suspicious of Valmeer through a series of dialogue. He will eventually become hostile to him and they will fight it out, the winner will then be your enemy when you jump down to the lower area. I happened to find this out on accident after the second time I played through this quest. I was trying to snipe a dragon on one of the adjacent mountainside dragon ' lairs ' with my bow, ( successfully I might add!😎) when I happened to notice some dialogue that I didn't remember from the last time I had completed that quest.
I do have on glitch you can cover, unless you have, but there's a random dead dragon that follows me when i fast travel, and i know its the same one cause i can use it like a mobile chest
This one is well known but the dragons do tend to disappear randomly so be careful what you stash

Anyone else notice that Captain Valmir as an imperial officer has armor similar to General Tullius? I've never seen him wear that set before even when sided with Hadvar after escaping Helgen. Only ever seen imperial soldiers light armor and storm cloak officer armor. @1:00
Actually i truly believe that Captain Valmir could be another hint towards Ulfric working with Thalmar all along, because he could get his hand on that Officer Stormclock outfit.
We already know he can easily get one, because they are in peace with Empire, and basically Thalmar has a lot of influence in the Empire anyway. But what about Stormclock?? Sure he could kill one of them and get one, but they are high ranking stormclock officers and hard to beat and they’re usually surrounded by a lot of soldiers...
If we also wanna consider what we found about Ulfric in the Embassy...What most likely happened is, Ulfric is already working with Thalmar for keeping Civil War conflict in Skyrim.
