Not necessarily. He’s right, yes. It’s possible to break it down to where you can bounce with the vortex. Clearing ancestral karmic ties, breaking out of learned behaviors, branching from the loop of patterns were programmed into, etc. it can be powerful, once you understand YOUR OWN methods of healing, and along the way, you can plant yourself with the synchronicities you keep seeing, and teach yourself along the way revealing your own little “Easter eggs” that you can later utilize as “cheat codes”. I prefer to call these, “Pivot points”. Dans really great at bringing to light key moments of which can light up the human consciousness in really simple ways.

Dan, there is NOBODY like you. I truly appreciate EVERYTHING you do. Your videos INSPIRE me. I'm 53 & I'm going to be the first millionaire in my family. I left home at 13, and I was the only one out of my 4 siblings who got their GED. Went back to school at 34 to get a worthless Bachelors Degree in Sociology just to keep a minimum wage job... I have always been a late bloomer (learner) in all things "common sense." I started a business in 2022, first just doing some self-publishing through Amazon's KDP, then I started being a seller through Amazon's seller platform... then my sister was murdered in October of last year & I haven't been the same since. She left behind 5 children & I am going to be the first millionaire in my family so I can take care of them. You are an inspiration to me & your videos are helping me get back on track. Thank you for all of your hard work & dedication to helping people. You're a good soul.

You can absolutely change your life in 6-12 months. In 2023 I was a beer delivery driver with aches and pains and super burnt out. I went into deep work for 6 months straight and got my first job in the IT industry. A year later I just moved up to a major tech company with life changing compensation. I was always lower working class but I have transcended class boundaries. Just pick a goal and be relentless. Don’t stop until you get there and then keep going.

Not have to work all day . Even if working all day gets your farther ahead , that is not the end goal . If you have to work all day to achieve that goal , your not doing it the right way . The purpose is to get the results of working all day , all within a few hours or less so that you have the freedom to do whatever you want with the rest of your day , which is the goal .

One thing I would say is, it’s true you shouldn’t suppress negative emotions, and it’s true if they arise your best to channel them constructively, but I would caution people against confusing it as an optimal or efficient source of energy. Negative emotions, anger, and negativity sap away your productivity, happiness, relationships, and everything good in the long term. You may be able to use anger to motivate you, but it comes with a price. Being calm, content, free of outcomes, and accepting loosens you up to be much more effective, but more importantly more happy. The Buddha once said anger is like a sweet fruit with a poisonous thorn at the end. At first it may seem convenient as it helps you get what you want, but eventually it just leads to pain. After all it is pain by definition. Not saying to surpress or ignore it, just don’t romanticize it either.

There's plenty to take away from this video, and I appreciate the direct approach as well as the skillful use of metaphor. Thank you for the effort you put into this content. Specifically, I appreciate the ideas surrounding fundamentals; stacking skills and opportunities; and eliminating things that don't serve you (the clarification on what "disappearing" is).
However, much of this is far too prescriptive, and most will take this as an absolute "plan" without following your advice to test it for themselves. Overplanning is often a massive hindrance, or at least a monumental waste of time when contrasted with self-testing. Most people will not take inspired action from a place where they're still craving certainty, and overplanning is an easy distractor that seems like action and accomplishes little. There's a balance to be had, but operating from a place of inspired action comes from a deeper self-awareness of what is holding you back (the "what I don't want" is just the surface level of that which could drive you in the right direction).
The hustle and grind mentality associated with "monk mode" is essentially the monkey throwing the poo on the ground (maybe we should call it "monkey mode"), versus the deeper self-work that gets you into an inspired, grateful, and abundant state that transcends the illusion of "the matrix." Instead of building artificial self-discipline through "monk mode," you can build actual self-discipline as a byproduct of inner work. You aren't self-disciplined because you watched a UA-cam video and decided for 30 days to do "insert overly-prescriptive plan here," but rather because the desires you have require self-discipline as an immutable component. Doing "the thing" for 30 days isn't entirely bad per se, as you have to start building a habit somewhere, but without some level of that aforementioned inner work, it's going to be difficult for the average person (who is gliding along in "the matrix") to incorporate it into their identity.
People are looking for the quick fix. Even when you're talking about a 10-year plan and taking years to build skills through iterating, projects, and opportunities, the main takeaways for the majority-the 99% of people they're supposedly getting ahead of-who aren't doing the inner work will be to do the surface-level plan and remain mostly stuck in place due to a lack of self-awareness and resistance to addressing the quasi-preprogrammed beliefs and limitations they have within.

I love the gym analogies, there is so much truth in them. I was struggling to get started but getting back to the gym after two years is the only thing that allowed me to build momentum and feel energized to do everything else. Thank you for your wisdom.

Sometimes its hard to catchup with Dan because his content is packed with wisdom and truths, like a zipfile, but listening to him over and over is never boring, its like a fantastic book you keep going back to constantly and finding it both inspiring and insightful every time you read it again and again

this is amazing. as a high level professional musician in an intense market like NYC, I've often struggled to balance the creative aspects of my work with structuring a work routine and solid business plan. We musicians are often trained in the creative aspects of our craft and given little guidance in how to build a sustainable lifestyle with business, networking, social media skills etc. These videos have really inspired me to structure out a plan to get organized and achieve the goals I have. Thanks so much.

You are quite quote-able. There was this one section, I believe it's this video but it could be another. You said that procrastination has an older brother called diversion, which is to have too many focuses and not enough depth into any of them. This truly changed my life.

It actually just takes one earnest prayer from a broken heart and a humble spirit. Very simple but very profound. It should change who you are at your essence. However, unlike matters of the heart, the mind or the mental energy always shift as plans change. But Def subscribed and found myself very engages with his way of analyzing.

Anti-vision is such an interesting concept I never really set time to think through. Yes, there were some mental exercises of "where you'd be if you continued down the current path", but one should remember that things that aren't worked on only degrade and gradually become worse. And if you're on a downward spiral, and in a rut it will only get progressively worse. Focus on things that scare you, and the fuck them and use it as a powerful propelant to move forward in life.

  • @EcomCarl

Great advice! Crafting an "antivision" is a clever way to clarify goals and avoid distractions. Building consistency around the mundane tasks that matter most is key to steady progress. 💡

I've been doing this since I was a child, it's led me to not being able to develop "small talk" skills which in a way is great because I tend to attract deep thinkers like myself but it's also hindering when you do need to communicate with everyone else.
