I’ve been going crazy trying to decide which language learning app would be best for me. Among all the reviews that I’ve seen on UA-cam, yours was concise and to the point, without sacrificing important information. Thank you for bringing clarity to an otherwise confusing topic. I have no doubt that watching your videos will ultimately help me in making a very important purchasing decision. Two 👍🏻 👍🏻 up and a big 😀 smile.
Two points leap to mind. First, the lessons in Rocket Language generally take longer than thirty minutes to complete. At least for the Spanish curriculum, the audio portion alone takes 20-30 minutes, and this is followed by extensive exercises in writing, listening, speaking, etc. So a complete lesson takes upwards of 50-60 minutes on average. Of course, the user of this app need not do this all in one sitting, but this is the duration of the average lesson all the same. The second point is that while the single-payment (lifetime option) for Babbel gives the user access to all fourteen of Babbel’s languages, a payment to Rocket applies only to one language at a time. This means that language learners could purchase all three levels of Rocket’s Spanish lessons for example, and if later they want to study Mandarin or French, they would have to make a second (separate) purchase to Rocket for that. That said, while there are pros and cons to all language apps, I agree with you that Rocket is on balance the better choice here. I use Babbel extensively, but I give Rocket the nod in a direct head-to-head comparison. Thank you for the information you provide in these videos. It’s very helpful. -Jeff

You should! We love their Italian course
Babbel is great for quick lessons when I’m on the go, but I wish it had more advanced content once I move past the basics
True - it's a perfect app for beginner to intermediate tho

Thank you the watch and detailed comment! We appreciate it
Babbel just released (on 23 October 2024) a new version of its app with significant new content - at least on the iOS platform.
We'll check it out!
