Thank you both for another great video, and on the Temu tools I’ve purchased the long worth chuck and the live centre with interchangeable ends the same as you and I’m really happy with them and I’ve also purchased other carpentry tools from there and they are keeping up with roughness they go through on site, so I’m happy . And keep up the great vids but I’m sorry can’t watch your fishing vids but I will subscribe for ya Cheers Nick 👍
Welcome to the channel Nick. Thanks for watching. I'm also well chuffed with all my TEMU stuff. Glad you are enjoying the vids. Thanks for the subscribe on the fishing channel too, although you don't watch it. It all helps the channel to grow. So thank you from both of us.
It's not a donation for someone begging. You're providing entertainment and people learn from your amazing talent. They are paying for that service so don't feel bad for people wanting to pay you a little for those services. Thank you for all your videos, they are awesome!
Glad you are finding them helpful. The support we have had for our channel has been amazing. As I said, we do appreciate the donations, but the subscribing to the channels and watching the videos helps us more, by building the channel. I do the videos just to give free advice and help so that people can enjoy their turning as much I do mine.
On side note to anyone whos new i asked for this video and he graciously said yes to doing it hes top bloke to get advice from and his tools are fantastic quality and amazingly priced 👍👍🏴🏴

liza could you do a vidio on painting the snowmen exct. I had forgot how crap i am at art so i could do with a few pointers,as mine look like a 6 year old has painted them. Thanks jon.
Hi Jon, Liza here. I'm really no expert on painting either. I use acrylic paints mainly. Don't need too many coats (2 usually). I start off with painting the whole body white, then the hat in black. You just need steady hands to get under the rim of the hat, then the nose in orange and a few black dots for buttons on his body and his mouth and eyes. Because of the drying time etc, it's not so easy to do a video. I'm not one for being in front of the camera. I take my time when painting. For the other characters, it's about using your imagination. I draw the facial parts on first then paint it in a similar way.

Either. Depends on what you are using (measuring jug). If you did 1 inch of shellac flakes, you put 9 inches of alcohol. If you did 1 ounce of shellac flakes you add 9 fluid ounces of alcohol. Hope that helps.

I'd be interested to know what a half round, tapered wedge is needed for. Always fascinating to watch a production worker in action.
Wedges for tool handles
Have you shortened the handle on that Temu parting tool?
Yes I did.
As an American I have a question. What is the difference between A pound and a quid?
Welcome to the channel. It's the same thing Dean. Thanks for watching.

Great video as always. What wire do you use for the burning Glenn ? 🙏
I say what I use in the video.
Sorry Glenn i must of missed it.Ill watch it again.
Hi glen again i dont know if this is a stupid question but is there a ideal height to have your lathe , thank you
Ideally the height of your centre should be elbow height, but whatever you feel comfortable. There are no fixed rules.
9 to 1 by weight or volume?
Either. Depends on what you are using (measuring jug). If you did 1 inch of shellac flakes, you put 9 inches of alcohol. If you did 1 ounce of shellac flakes you add 9 fluid ounces of alcohol. Hope that helps.
