Chandi, you need to write a book---a collection of your favorite patterns along with your words of support and wisdom from your emails and videos. This video's intro is so beautiful. I would love to start every day---and every pattern---with your observations and affirmations. I just finished a knitted lace blanket that I started 27 (!) years ago. Long story. I am, therefore, familiar with lace knitting. :)
I truly wish i could knit and definitely want to learn as well as learn Tunisian crochet. Thank you for sharing this Beautiful top. Lovely Sweater. ❤🙏🏻
I have knitted lace. I actually knitted my daughter a lace shawl for her wedding. I really enjoy knitting lace. There is something about the rhythm of lace knitting that really calms me. I just love this pattern. Thank you for another beautiful pattern!
When I was younger, my mom tried to teach me to knit, but growing up I didn't practice it and forgot everything. I tried to learn crochet during the pandemic, and am still a beginner but I enjoy it so much!! Your videos are so helpful and the patterns are wonderful!
I knit lace patterns fairly often. It’s probably my favourite stitch patterning. It’s calming and absorbs my mind, distracting me from any worries I might have.
My mother actually taught me to knit AND crochet lace when I was 10. At age 81, she can no longer remember how to knit or crochet or that she taught me, but instead, she now finds awe and great joy in watching me to knit lace. "Wow! This is so beautiful! It is amazing that you can do something so delicate and beautiful," she says. Instead of focusing on what she lost (a lot of her memory), we have chosen to celebrate her childlike excitement every time she sees me knit. Thank you again for sharing such a beautiful pattern and informative video.
Oh, yes. I've knit PLENTY of lace. I thought I'd hate it, but I don't. Well, as long as it's fingering yarn and nothing thinner! LOL Also. Thanks for helping me forget to be sad for a few moments. Feeling calm even.
I have never knitted lace before, but I'm learning to knit right now, and it's definitely on my "to learn" list! This crema sock yarn is simply gorgeous, I wish I could reach through the screen and touch it. I love watching you run it through your fingers. Thanks for the tutorials, and giveaways as usual, Chandi! ❤️🧶🐙
Oh, I love sweaters, OHH I love lace. Beautiful pattern, thank you Emma Butram for a beautiful design. Thank you Chandi for the tutorial, you are such a great teacher. Have a blessed weekend!!! ❤️
Lace knitting makes me very happy. Those patterns always seem to catch my eye. The duality of the pattern really calls to me-especially the three quarter sleeves. I am definitely putting this one in the cue for after my latest batch of charity knitting. Enjoy your day.
Yes, I knitted lace before. It was one of my first summer sweaters, it is still very good looking. I am quite proud of it, because I knitted it without following a pattern. This sweater is very nice especially because of the two different patterns and colours. I like it.
This sweater pattern looks so fun! I love knitting lace because it helps you think about the process of the project you’re making as you go, and seeing the patterns it creates brings me lots of joy. I have not knitted lace in the round, though, as far as any projects I am thinking about, but I do want to try that!
I love this sweater! I’ve knitted a lot of lace, but this would be my first lace sweater. I wear jeans and boots a lot and this would be a perfect thing to wear to boost my when-I-have-to-go-in-to-the-office work wardrobe. And I love that it’s a fingerweight yarn because anything heavier would be too much to layer.
Lace will be a new and exciting challenge for me!!! The Aravis sweater is gorgeous and I look forward to beginning this pattern. Love the colors selected to showcase this sweater!!! Also love the quality of the Crema Sock yarn as it will be beautiful as well as durable!!!
I absolutely love knitting lace! One of the first items I made when "rediscovering" knitting recently was a lovely, lacy shawl. I loved it so much, I made two of them in different yarns. Lace is such a delightful addition to any pattern.
Lace is fun to knit (as long as I keep up with a lifeline!) This sweater is beautiful! Thank you for all the lovely patterns you provide, and all your lovely yarn! You are still one of my most favorite dyers! Thank you!
Hi Chandi, hope you and yours are well. Thank you again for another wonderful pattern. Your generosity is appreciated more than you know. I have actually knitted quite simple lace before. My mum made up a yarn advent mini set for me, and I found a lovely pattern for a wrap and I actually enjoyed working on it so much I made one for mum too. This lace looks a bit more advanced, and I can't wait to test myself, and hopefully have a garment as a reward for my bravery 😅 . Have a blessed week. Lots of love from over the ocean. Xx❤
I’m an intermediate knitter. I have only knitted lace on socks. This looks like the perfect pattern to try knitting lace on a garment. Thank you for the lace tutorial and for sharing this lovely pattern. ❤
Good morning Chandi!! I have never knitted the lace stitch before but are saving your directions for when I begin knitting (possibly my next project). Thank you for sharing all your tutorials & patterns with us, as well as your beautiful yarns!!!❤❤❤
My first and maybe only lace knit is the feather and fan pattern. Such an awesome pattern that I love to this day 35 years later! I was very new beginner at the time just proving that even a beginner can do lace!
I always enjoy watching your videos in the morning while I have my coffee. Your new hair color is perfect on you! You make cutting veggies look like meditative! I think I will try this sweater, and have shorter sleaves, like cap, and have a wider collar, maybe doubled, for my summer. My little town just got a yarn and notions store and they are open all weekend to go and sit and knit....I am going over today!
I learned to knit, knitting lace, just a few short years ago. . It is my absolute favorite. Working my way to including it in socks. Happy FriYay everyone!
Yes, of course I knit lace. I love it. This pattern is absolutely perfect for the birthstone colours! The upper part in the variegated colour and the lace in the solid one.
Such a gorgeous sweater! After knitting two lace shawls, this pattern really looks like something I could do as a first sweater knit. I love the calming rows of knit in the lace pattern, giving a moment to relax and enjoy the process. Thanks for an opportunity to win some of your beautiful yarn.
Simple, and elegant at the same time 😍 I love it! Lace is my second passion after cables and it's always a treat to knit. Thank you for sharing this wonderful sweater ❤
Very pretty. I have worked lace before, both in socks and in shawls. I love the simplicity of this one- looks like it takes so much more effort for the final effect. Thank you.
I have knitted simple lace before. First time was a dissaster, but I tried it w another project and it was only half disastrous. I finally mastered the so-so level. Fortunately, I am both tenacious and persevering.
I also will like the idea of a book from you... I know you enjoy to read and I just imagine the combination of your wonderful words, thinks with the amazing art of knitting and crocheting patterns... I love books too and it will be so amazing to have your book... I am familiar with laces, I have done some by knitting and crocheting. I really love this lace pattern. Thank you!
Love this pattern! I have knit lace before, and it is great fun especially with the „good yarn“ ☺️ I made a lace scarf from some DK yarn I got as a birthday present, a wonderful alpaca, silk and cashmere mix🥰 every stitch felt luxurious and I love the finished scarf!
I knit A LOT of lace. Somehow managed to make a beaded lace shawl in laceweight for my wedding in 3 weeks! I tell new knitters that it's a lot easier than it looks, especially if they can read charts
Good morning Chandi!! This sweater has everything I love...a unique pattern, amazing colors, stunning yarn and 3/4 sleeves! I have knit many lace baby blankets. My go-to pattern uses 2 yarn and a 2-row repeat to make an intricate but easy lace. I am up to the challenge of a 7+ row repeat after watching your video. You make everything look so easy! After the unexpected loss of my twin brother and nephew in 24 hours, this video reminded me I really need a project to slow down, create, process my thoughts and remember all the good times we had. Thank you!!
Of course I have knit and crochetted lace, it is fun and looks beautiful. I prefer knitting lace patterns. I love this gorgeous sweater, I love the color transition and love the top down style.
Love it!!! I'm not a 3/4 length sleeve person so I'll be making them longer for sure. I have knitted lace before and am actually knitting a lacy scarf. It's a WIP that I put aside for a hot minute and am not getting back to it. Thanks, Chandi and Emma!!
Hi Chandi. This is a beautiful pattern. Yes, I’ve knit lace before. I find it a very good exercise for my brain as I remember and repeat the patterns. Thanks for another lovely pattern. Have a wonderful weekend.❤
I've never knitted lace before 🧶, but I'd absolutely love to give it a try with this beautiful yarn 🌈. The sweater featured in the video is just stunning 😍. Thank you so much for sharing! 💕
I have knit lace self taught. But until watching your video today, I did not know I was doing the SSK incorrectly. THANK YOU for creating a slow, camera focused, easy to watch and learn video for this lace. Game changing for me. Have a great weekend and thank your for the pattern it’s beautiful
I really enjoy knitting lace! It keeps you on your toes and engaged with the pattern. And, the results are well worth the extra effort. Beautiful pattern!!
I have made a few lace shawls for my mother and mother in law❤ It is very easy but looks fancy and delicate. Thank you for your beautiful and calm videos!
I've never tried lace but I have always wanted to try it. I think this pattern will be perfect for people who have never tried it, I definitely will be making this. Thank you Chandi for another beautiful pattern ❤
I am newer to lace knitting and really enjoy it. So far, I have made Balance Point and Proserpina. I jumped way out of my comfort zone and just finished a VERY intricate lace weight tencel shawl. It was tough but thrilling to finish if for no other reason than to say I did!
Yeah I’ve knitted lace. Several baby blankets, and shawls. This sweater is beautiful and would be fun to knit. Thanks for always making it look so easy 😊
Now that I got crochet good, I’d love to try knitting, I did as a kid with my mom but it’s been a long time! I love your knitting videos esp this lovely sweater! Thanks for sharing!!
My first project was a knit pearl, scarf... after that I went absolutely loony and made a lacy long vest... It took forever but I just love it! It's my go too when a tiny bit cool! Thank you for all you and your designer friends do! 💖💖🌞
Oh, this lace pattern is really nice! I’m more of a crocheter but I’ve tried my hand at simple knit projects like scarves.. and thank you for all your helpful tutorials, I’ve really learned a lot from you! 😊💜
In fact, my first lace project and my first project with you was Terebinthia. Plus my first beading project. I enjoyed working that scarf so much that I kept coming back for more! Thanks for expanding my horizons with knitting and crocheting and all the beautiful yarns to work with. ❤
Gorgeous sweater pattern. 😍 I typically work with worsted yarn (blankets) but recently, I purchased fingering yarn to make a wearable and lace weight yarn. I have never used lace weight yet but, I am super excited to make something with it. Now I just need to find the perfect project to use the lace weight yarn on. Currently, I only know how to crochet but, I am attempting to learn how to knit again. Thanks for another beautiful pattern and yarn selection. I will add this pattern to my make list....so when I am proficient in knit, I will have an amazing sweater to work up.
This is a beautiful sweater. Love the color and lace combination. I also like the fact that it is seamless. That makes it more comfortable and also lessens the chance of an unfinished piece. 🤣
It's been a while since I did lace knitting. I did some when my children were babies. I found it very relaxing in the evenings, when the babies were tucked up for the night. Thank you for your very clear instructions. 🧶
As a baby knitter, I have never knitted lace (intentionally-though I've added yo and dropped stitches as I learn 😂). I hope to some day. Love, love, love the yarn! 😍😍
I have never knit lace, but this pattern looks like a lovely way to give it a try! I have also been looking for the opportunity to try knitting a seamless top down sweater, so win-win with this one!
I'm a beginner knitter so I haven't done lace. Your channel has been so wonderful. I love the beautiful creations that you showcase and the fact that you are such a great teacher, in both crochet and knitting. Thank you so much. You have really been an inspiration to me.
I have knit lace patterns, and do enjoy designs that are more than just knit/purl. Aww, thank you 🩷
I love the lace bottom and sleeves! Knitting lace is fun and rewarding.

I also want to thank you for all of the tutorials. I learned so much. I have not done lace or sweaters, but this one might be my first! 😊
Yes I've knitted lace, I love it. I'm always looking for new lacey patterns and hopefully a new lace stitch. The lacier the better.
I have knitted simple lace before. First time was a dissaster, but I tried it w another project and it was only half disastrous. I finally mastered the so-so level. Fortunately, I am both tenacious and persevering.
I love knitting lace! It is so satisfying to see the pattern shapes come together! This sweater looks so fun to make!

I love lace. My first time knitting lace was a shawl kit I ordered fro Craftsy. I learned a lot with that first lace knitting experience.
I have knit lace before and find it can almost be meditative. Love this design!
Beautiful! Thank you Chandi…❤
I love knitting lace and have made shawls and blankets using different lace stitches. Thank you for the chance of winning your generous giveaway.
Don’t believe I’ve ever knitted lace, but have knitted for many years. This particular pattern doesn’t intimidate me, and I’m ready to jump in.
However, correcting mistakes and frogging can be super challenging especially for larger pieces with a lot of stitches per row and finer weight yarns like lace or fingering weights. Having the “lifelines” for such designs helps, but I don’t always remember to use them. Thanks again for another great pattern tutorial and give away!
I love this sweater so much. I have knit lace and learned the hard way to always use a lifeline. I have never made a garment, and this seems to be a great design for a first sweater. Now if only we'd have longer cool spells here in west-central Florida.
I knitted a beautiful lace large shawl for my 2nd knit project. It took 3 monyhs but a wonderful sense of accomplishment and beauty ❤
Oh yes, I have knitted lace. One of the things I look for when looking for new sweater patterns.
I love knitting lace. I have even done some Shetland lace work. Love these colors together. Very pretty
I've knit plenty of lace, but I don't think I've worked this particular lace pattern before. It looks like an enjoyable level of complexity while staying easy to read on the needles.
I love knitting lace patterns, whether it be a sweater, shawl, blanket, or scarf! I enjoy your video tutorials and always learn from them even though I've been knitting since 8 years old. Thank you for the chance to win this lovely yarn. Allie
I love knitting lace shawls! Beautiful and airy.
The first time I knitted lace was last year when I was working on a test pattern. It challenged me, but was also fun to knit, and I loved that.
Yes I've done lace knitting, loving this sweater design ❤😊
Yes, I have frequently knitted lace (and enjoyed it); some lace patterns are very simple, others call for more concentration.
Yes I have knitted various lace patterns of yours. Loved all of them.
I'm new to knitting so I haven't knitted complicated lace but so far I have found it to be pretty simple and something I would like to do more of! Gorgeous colorway! 💙
