  • Hello, my sweet friend! I hope you're having a spectacular day and that you're feeling happy and hopeful! Today, I have an incredible, lacy knit pattern to share with you that I think is going to make your heart soar! Lacewing is a delightfully draping poncho that is the perfect layering piece to wear as a warm weather coverup or when you need just a little something extra to put on.
    Download Lacewing at www.expressionfiberarts.com/p...
Lacewing is an Intermediate level knit pattern with a clever, seamless construction! You'll knit both in the round and flat, while also creating a beautiful i-cord edge. In this video, I demonstrate four techniques to help you successfully knit a GORGEOUS poncho of your own! Join me as I show how to knit the Cable Cast On; the 4-row repeating stitch pattern that makes up the body of the poncho; the lovely, but simple i-cord edging; and my new favorite bind off - the K2togtbl Bind Off! You're going to love it!
Lacewing uses our Mirage Sport yarn. It is a beautiful sport weight yarn that's luscious and supremely soft with a gorgeous drape, amazing structure, and a subtle gleam! It is made with 70% Superwash Merino Wool, 10% Natural Baby Camel, 10% Cashmere, and 10% Mulberry Silk.
This poncho is offered in four sizes: 1 (2, 3, 4): 37 (46, 56, 65)” / 94 (117, 142, 165) cm chest circumference. The sample poncho was made with our stunning Wanderlust Hues Mirage Sport. Sizes 1 and 2 can be made with 1 kit, but sizes 3 and 4 will require additional yarn. See the pattern itself for specific information about yardage requirements.
