You are so generous to offer free patterns. I have downloaded around 12. One thing I would like to see in the future is a few more shawls or shawlette patterns that only use one or two skeins of yarn. Thank you for all of your hard work. Happy New Year.
I've been watching lots of recap vids on my favorite channels, news sites, etc. This is the first thing I've seen that really makes me feel like a year has passed. Your most special and beautiful pattern is neither crochet or knit, nor is it limited to one year. It is the wonderful pattern of love, affirmation, inspiration, creativity, beauty and friendship that you've used to create this wonderful community. Thank You.
I have downloaded most of crochet patterns - but made only few. In 2024 I want to learn knitting so will start gathering your knitting for beginners patterns.
I believe I've downloaded 32 of the patterns shown here, even some knit patterns for when I retire and can learn that craft. I completed 10 of your patterns this year. and have 3 WIPs. I think my favorite project I've completed in 2023 is the Querencia blanket I made for my oldest daughter for next Christmas. The softness and ease of this pattern made it a joy to whip up. Tubucake has taken me almost all year to complete the hexagons, but I've chipped away at them, and they are now done. It is a perfect "take-along" project if you have appointments to sit and wait for. I adore EFA yarn and patterns, and Chandi's positivity and peaceful demeanor makes the craft feel like I'm working on a peace of art, and not just a shawl or a blanket. Thank you so much for everything - you are a beautiful small business with beautiful and helpful people. Looking forward to 2024 with EFA!
I have downloaded every single crochet pattern. Don’t think I can pick a favourite but I like shawls the best & have several in my queue for 2024. For next year I would like more crochet shawls & what I call fashion scarves (1skein scarves/shawlettes -boomerang shape. Check out designer CJ Brady. She makes some lovey 1 skein scarves! I know these smaller items don’t sell as much yarn but there are many people who can’t afford 3-5 skeins of your wonderful yarn but they might just treat themselves to 1 skein if they saw a pattern like hers. Just a suggestion.)
I downloaded all the crochet ones, even a few knitted patterns, but to pick a favourite? No way can I pick one, I loved them all. I have made a few shawls, then one wrap, so lovely God bless
Florescent, Dantelina and Embers are my absolute favourite. I've made them so many times. Almond Flowers is also so gorgeous, and a challenge to make. My daughter was so happy with Almond Flowers. God bless you Chandi for sharing your beautiful soul in your patterns. Always grateful to you Xxx❤❤❤
EFA…… you are a shining example of making lovely things happen with a diverse community who loves to share❤❤❤❤. I downloaded at least 95%… busy bee I be😂.
Hi Chandi. I think I’ve downloaded them all! They are all so lovely and Free Pattern Friday is a joy for me. During a year laced with illness, loss, and sadness , Fridays have been a lifesaver. I’m currently starting to work on the Curtsy Shrug and the Dichondra Shawl. They are both beautiful! I am also going to cast on the knit cable hat pattern I recently purchased. I can’t remember the name off the top of my head but Tim models it! I love it and want to make it for my husband. I know he will love it. From our home to yours and to the whole EFA team, we wish you a spectacular 2024 and I can’t wait to see what gorgeous patterns and yarns are coming our way! XO!❤❤
The Almond Flowers pattern was ONE of my favorites; so hard to choose just one! I have recently picked up Tunisian crochet and enjoy the rhythmic motion of this stitch. Tunisian crochet seems to lay and fold nicer, line up better and FEEL better than other crochet stitches. When I am finished with an asymmetrical triangle scarf, for instance, I feel as though I have written a song or lengthy poem. I wonder if the people I've gifted them to hear it.
Hi Chandi 🌹 Are you kidding me 💕 I couldn’t tell you my favorite ❤️ they’re ALL BEAUTIFUL Hope you had a GREAT CHRISTMAS 🎄 And the Best to the NEW YEAR COMING 🎉🎊💥🌹❤️🙏✌🏽🥂
Can't pick a favorite as they are all beautiful. I've made the azorella, makani, almond flowers and the MCAL - multivalence. Currently working on mou leipeis. The first three were gifts for others and I hope to make another almond flowers for myself in the new year.
Hey beautiful lady. Thank you so much for all of your generosity this year. I really look forward to Friday afternoons, with a cup of tea, and your company. You are always so gracious and elegant, it's lovely to see you. I have downloaded many of the featured patterns, plus a few others 😊. I have made several shawls as gifts for my mum, who always appreciates the work I put into them. This makes each and every stitch worthwhile. I'm hoping for some top down projects next year please. 😉 I am sending many blessings for 2024 to you and those you love , from across the ocean. Thank you again, and lots and lots of love. Sarah. Xx ❤
Your creations are just breath taking. If I could ill do them all bit although that's an impossible feat for me I did manage to down load a few of your free patterns. So a HUGE thankyou for this opportunity. Hope you and your family have a happy new year filled with love and blessings. ❤ from Malta
I don't have 1 favorite, I loved most of them and downloaded most of them as well. I hope I'll have enough time to make it all, both crochet and knitting 😂. I have printed patterns for a very long time. I only have the weekends to enjoy it so I'm a little slow. Very much appreciative of the designers and you sharing it all with us. Have a wonderful, joyful, love filled, easy, healthy 2024. 🥰
Well, I just became aware of how many patterns I missed! However, I think I must have downloaded at least one a month. Thank you and all your gifted designers for your patterns and yarns. Wishing you all the magic you can muster in the new year!!!🎉🎉🎉
Everything is stunning! The one that touched my heart was the Jemez sweater. I tried the Home socks, but I messed up, there were a couple these patterns I tried, but it was the Dashael shawl that I finished that I LOVE SO MUCH! I will make 2 Rainier shawls when I get done with Tunisian crochet 2 potholders. I finished the Mysa Wrap!!! I still have too many wips to complete before I tackle a KAL or CAL. I made a Creery sweater for my sister, whose daughter took it from her! A HUGE shout out to Pam for helping me get the remaining hanks of Lavender Ice Cream Buttery Bulky to finish before Xmas. And a HUGE thanks to you for bringing another year of beauty to the world. May your next year be filled with joy, peace, and love.
I love your patterns and your yarns. I've only downloaded seven patterns, telling myself to not get ahead of myself ... they will be there when I am ready (for a while, anyway). I would have to say Colina is my favorite so far. I'm almost finished - halfway through the fourth color. This one's for me. I've been working on birthday and Christmas projects since August; now a couple for me before back on the birthday/Christmas train. And we have a new baby coming in July, so a whole new scope of projects and yarns! Can't wait. Thanks, Chandi, for all you do and for all your encouragement. Sending a year of love, grace and beauty to you, and to us all. 💌
This is a real problem for me....I do not have time or yarn to knit or crochet all these gorgeous patterns...I did down load a couple to make in 2024. Thanks for all patterns
Everything you do is beautiful. I only downloaded the ones I knew I could do in a couple of weeks to give as gifts😅 I downloaded the Ember, revel, sunset diamonds, Colina, I missed the destiny😮
I loved the video! Smiled throughout! I found that I downloaded 17 patterns! I’m waiting for delivery of yarn to start a couple of them. I’d like to see some shawls for short women. I’m 5’2” and some of the beautiful shawls are too long or deep for me. I’m also curvy and would love to see a shrug for curvy women. Thank you also for your thoughtful words with each post and pattern. 🩷 Looking forward to what 2024 brings. Have a blessed year!
January 2 2024 HAPPY NEW YEAR! One of the comments from the lady from Ukraine is so proof there how your instructional video’s does not limit to just English speaking. Your tuturials are so inspirational when I get into a slump. I started three years ago learning with your video’s to knit. Actually now continental knit. The Andante shawl is truly my favorite. I have got the Mind the Gap shawl pattern that seems to be light one even in the winter months that we are still in.
I always look forward to Free Pattern Friday! My favourite this year is the Rubato cardigan. As a garment-knitter, I'm hoping for more lovely sweater and cardigan designs in 2024. Thank you for all the great patterns, tutorials and inspiration!❤
I look at you and those patterns and all I see are grace and beauty. I can't pick just one, or two. Guess I'll have to go with the old meme: Chandi: Which patterns do you like? Me: Yes *throws money*
Wow! So many patterns. I think I downloaded around 9 of them. I absolutely love my Conjure blanket, my first knit blanket. I love the variety of patterns, both knit and crochet.
These patterns are so beautiful! I've downloaded 3 of these patterns, and haven't get around to make them all. But I've made a shawl pattern from 2022 in the beginning of this year and It's one of my most favorite knits! And the one I get the most compliments on ;) Thank you for doing such beautiful work!
WOW, All of them are gorgeous. I especially like the different beautiful shawls. This year I will be following all your tutorials. I would like to see in the description how to make them shorter or not as wide. All of your designed are super gorgeous.
I think I have downloaded most of the crochet shawls. My favorite is Sunset Diamonds Shawl. I also crocheted Adamas. I really appreciate all of the patterns that you allow us to download. Your patterns are unique and I love them. Can't wait to see what you have in store for us next year. Thanks again for sharing beautiful patterns with us and beautiful yarns.
Happy 2024 Chandi! May your year be your best yet, in all aspects! There's no way I could choose a favorite pattern but I daresay I have most of those offered for no cost. I've also got a fair share of paid ones too. Self-control, thy name is NOT Kelly! Thank you for the generous coupon for 3 free patterns...my library has grown yet again.
I’ve downloaded so many but I have only worked one so far & it’s Tubucake and I have LOVED both the pattern and the yarn, I am almost at the point of putting all my hexagons together. So exciting!!
I'm so happy to have found your channel and website. Thank you for making me a better knitter and more mindful person this year! I was lucky to download 16 of your beautiful patterns and complete 6 of them. My favorite was Lumin. Thank you again for your wonderful work; you've added so much value and treasure to this community world wide
I am pretty sure that I collected nearly all of the patterns this year. I would have to say my favorite from this year's patterns would be the Giselle sweater! Hard choice, as there are so many to love! Just bought yarn to make the Conjure blanket next!!! ❤
I downloaded about 50 free patterns and bought 10. Thank you for so many free patterns - so many great ideas for projects!❤ My favourite is the journey shawl - the first time I followed a pattern to the letter😊
I've downloaded most of the patterns released this year (and purchased a couple more), and they are all beautiful. The absolute standout for me is the Querencia scarf/shawl/blanket pattern. I tried swatching it in several different yarn weights, from crochet thread to DK, and they all turned out beautifully. This pattern works great no matter what! Thanks to you and the wonderful designers who have shared their lovely designs with us this year! ❤
I think I downloaded 27 of those patterns, plus some others from the website. I've knitted Lumin , Acalypha and Hug for your Head and I've crocheted the snowflake ornament, the Cranberry Cream convertible cowl hat. I love the patterns and eagerly await each Friday for the next release.
Ah, it was a great yarny year!! My craft closet is stuffed to the gills with projects to start. Looking forward to more! I would like to see more Tunisian crochet. Thanks Chandi! Hope 2024 is good to you! Cheers!
I've downloaded 30 patterns from this year. It's hard for me to decide what is my favorite. All of your patterns and yarns are absolutely gorgeous. I have several of the patterns in my queue to do. I really like your positive outlook on life and your effervescent personality. I'm looking forward to more of the lovely projects and yarns in 2024. Happy New Year and Blessings.
I love lacy patterns and what I'd like to see is more complicated patterns with detailed videos. I love watching you while I'm working on a project and I do miss those bloopers! You're such a kick! Love ya!!!
I downloaded 21 patterns this year (2023 for future reference). In years past I have tried to just download each one. But that started to feel too crazy since I know I'll never get to them all. Besides, if I miss one while it's free and I really want to do it $6 is not that bad. I think my favorite, visually, this year was Jemez. Whether or not I'll venture to try it is another story. I need to get better at basic garments first.
I downloaded most of these, but the ones I worked on were the ones I helped test! I'd love to see more small, one skein projects (bags, for example) with new stitches, more intricate stitches, or techniques (entrelac, double knitting, adding linings and zippers, etc). Learning on a small piece is much less intimidating! Love your patterns and your smiling face! Have a safe and wonderful New Year's holiday!
I’m finding impossible to pick just one favourite pattern! Every single pattern you release has its own spectacular personality and appeal. In addition, your yarns …. well, they are their own form of exquisite - the colours (outstanding), the fibre content (fabulous), the hand (luxurious). I so look forward to your Friday videos and the inspiration (and validation) they provide. Wishing you good an abundance of good health, happiness and peace of mind for 2024 and beyond.
Greetings from Germany. ❤ I love you Patterns and your Chanel, thank you soo much for the Freeware Patterns.I wish you a Happy New Year an all the best🎉
I love all the items and patterns you released in 2023. I’m a self taught crocheter since my late teens. I tried knitting in my twenties but was never successful until I found continental knitting though I still don’t like purling and tried many methods to master that stitch. I’ve downloaded just about all the patterns except the make along.
THANK YOU for another wonderful year full of lovely patterns. Wishing you a happy, healthy, prosperous new year. I would love to see more basic pieces that one can make for the wardrobe 😍😍
I have 8 favorites but if I could choose only one it would the Jemez sweater. I love making winter accessories so for me, more hat and mitten patterns would be a great option/offering, maybe more tank top options for summer.
Beautiful patterns. Watching this review, I saw that I missed several free patterns, but life is what it is. I think I downloaded at least 6 patterns. While I have not yet started it, I think Lumin is my favorite.
I loved all your new crochet patterns of 2023! My most favorites were the “Florescence”, of which I have made 6, adding beautiful colorful beads! Secondly, I have made 2 of the”Azorella”, of which I loved creating and wearing! Although I have enjoyed many more, my last pick is the”Almond flowers” of which I am working on now! It is so elegant so far! Thank you for all your work and creativity this year!
Chandi, thank you so much for your beautiful patterns and also for offering them for free. I really appreciate all your videos, they have helped me enormously on my crochet journey. I get excited every Friday!....happy new year to you, Tim and all your team.
Although, they're all beautiful. So, if I had to pick one my favorite will be Alchemy. I have downloaded 38 patterns and have made several as gifts. Keep growing, showing us through your love how to be a better people and better makers of the craft. HAPPY NEW YEAR to all!!!!!!
Happy New year to a beautiful lady Chandie and family. More blessings to come for 2024. Your fan from San Diego CA. Love you and thank you for your continued sharing of your talent in knitting and crochet. ❤❤🎉more power to your business😊
Ahh, another wonderful year of patterns! I managed to get all but four of them, too! So many benefits to being on the email list. I think I only missed a few because they came out while I was on work trips in the middle of nowhere with little to no internet, so I missed the emails. Thank you for a year full of wonder, learning, gorgeous patterns, and loving inspiration. Happy New Year to the whole EFA team!
I've gotten too many to count patterns from you this year and there are too many gorgeous ones that I couldn't pick a favorite. I'd love more cardigans and sweaters or pullovers with a bell type of sleeve.
I have 24 of the 75 patterns (and more from previous years). I’m most looking forward to making the Asteri sweater. Starting in January my knitting group is making the Daisy shirt together in whatever color Moongleam we chose, I bought Lichen 🤤. Thank you for your generosity in both making some patterns available for free as well as your videos walking us through different techniques. Blessings for 2024!
I loved all of your patterns! I cannot knit. And unfortunately have not had a chance to download crochet patters. Looking forward for 2024 creations. Thank you for 2023 .
Everything that has been created this year by your wonderful designers is so lovely. I think I have downloaded all your patterns as well as I have bought quite a few of them as well. It is very hard to pick one or two that I truly like. I have enjoyed doing the Arazzo shawl with all the mosaic design it was such a pleasure to do. I even challenged myself during the summer and did the Sunset diamond shawl which was out of my comfort zone due to it being crocheted. Even doing the MKAL has been great and so looking forward to doing next years. I think I will try both the crochet and knit one this time. Expanding my crochet skills even more. I think for next year other than the MKAL and MCAL it would be nice to see something for the men possibly a jumper. Once again thank you for the lovely patterns and the work that yourself and your designers as well as all the other staff that work behind the scenes. :)
You and all of the patterns are beautiful ❤️. I've actually downloaded 23 crochet patterns from this year. I can't thank you enough for all you do. Happy New Year and here's to many more fun projects.
I love your yarns, and all the patterns you share with the wonderful videos. I have downloaded 10 patterns this year, and a few that I purchased from previous years. I am currently working on Capullo and just love it. Next I hope to make MouLeipeis. Thank you.
Thank you so much for your wonderful patterns and generosity to publish them as free initially - and again your offer for another three patterns, just in case we missed any! I would have downloaded most of them and I love the different levels and types of patterns you make available, complete with videos. Also I really liked the format you presented this year of patterns, it felt nostalgic viewing monthly, and great to remind on any I’d missed. Also the acknowledgements to all the amazing designers ❤ Thank you again and HNY! X ps I love learning new stitches but you do that anyway, but do like sweater patterns as well, maybe cardigan?
I downloaded probably all of them, but I made only 5 of them because there is no time 🙈 I would love to see more sweaters! I made all EFA sweaters and cardigans 😊
I used the Allium set, it's great. I think I downloaded almost all the patterns except the blankets and largest shawl patterns. I skipped the color work ones too. I have a lot from 2022 and 2021 as well. I crochet and knit so am interested in both kinds of patterns. For next year, I would love to see more smaller items of wearable and possibly some craft items.
Thank You.
I think all but two or three. Pattern collecting is yet another obsession. I appreciate so much that you do this for us!!!
Same for all of this! ☝️❤️
All the patterns are gorgeous! After years of making hats and scarves, you've inspired me to make shawls! Next years challenge would be a sweater. ❤
I have downloaded most of crochet patterns - but made only few. In 2024 I want to learn knitting so will start gathering your knitting for beginners patterns.

I have downloaded almost every pattern, wasn't able to knit or crochet as much as I wanted 🙁, love all the designs
Out of all of the patterns for 2023 I downloaded 17 of them. My favorite was the MKAL Advertence. Looking forward to more fun patterns in 2024.😊
I loved the video! Smiled throughout! I found that I downloaded 17 patterns! I’m waiting for delivery of yarn to start a couple of them. I’d like to see some shawls for short women. 🧸💓 Thank you Shandi ,😢 You're successful for a fabulous New Year 🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎉🎉🎉🙏
The crochet patterns presented thus year made me want to learn to crochet. Beautiful collection.
I would love to see the Northern Lights! This pattern is beautiful! Thank you! 😊🧶
These patterns are so beautiful! I've downloaded 3 of these patterns, and haven't get around to make them all. But I've made a shawl pattern from 2022 in the beginning of this year and It's one of my most favorite knits! And the one I get the most compliments on ;)
Thank you for doing such beautiful work!
Thank you so much for your smiling face and generosity. I probably downloaded half the patterns this year. They are exquisite.
WOW, All of them are gorgeous. I especially like the different beautiful shawls. This year I will be following all your tutorials. I would like to see in the description how to make them shorter or not as wide. All of your designed are super gorgeous.
I downloaded about 8. I finished the embrasser and azerella patterns.

I was lucky to download 16 of your beautiful patterns and complete 6 of them. My favorite was Lumin. Thank you again for your wonderful work; you've added so much value and treasure to this community world wide
Thanks for the opportunity to knit all these beautiful patterns
I am pretty sure that I collected nearly all of the patterns this year. I would have to say my favorite from this year's patterns would be the Giselle sweater! Hard choice, as there are so many to love! Just bought yarn to make the Conjure blanket next!!! ❤
I think it would be nice to see hats, shrugs, leg warmers, fingerless mitts, and socks.
Wonderful suggestion 💙
I was smiling watching all the different patterns i had actually knit this year 💖🧶 thank you so much. Have a blessed and light filled 2024
I downloaded about 50 free patterns and bought 10. Thank you for so many free patterns - so many great ideas for projects!❤
My favourite is the journey shawl - the first time I followed a pattern to the letter😊
I downloaded everything you happily shared this year. I love them all. I especially love the EFA community. ♥️♥️♥️
WOW. All those patterns....truly amazing. Thanks Chandi
Many thanks to you and all the amazing designers and the beautiful patterns. Happy New Year 🍾💕🧶😘
I think I downloaded 27 of those patterns, plus some others from the website.
Cheers!
I downloaded every shawl 😂
My favorite has to be the yearlong advertence!
Woohoo, that makes me so happy Daniel! 💙
I download a few of them.❤ Happy New Year for you and your husband. ❤
I love lacy patterns and what I'd like to see is more complicated patterns with detailed videos. I love watching you while I'm working on a project and I do miss those bloopers! You're such a kick! Love ya!!!
Glad you like them! 💕
💃🏾 It's amazing what you've accomplished! Love your channel, Chandi! 🥰
We would love to continue to see shawls and shawls and shawls! 😂. Also ponchos, cowls and capes ❤.
The Almond Flowers pattern is my favourite! I've downloaded it but not started it yet ❤
I have 110 of your patterns and Sunset Diamonds was my favorite this year.
So many beautiful patterns! A handful have made it to my must-knit list!! ❤
Greetings from Germany. ❤ I love you Patterns and your Chanel, thank you soo much for the Freeware Patterns.I wish you a Happy New Year an all the best🎉
I made my first crocheted sweater this year. It was the Galateia. I'm now working on the Azorella. Love to see your videos!
I love all the items and patterns you released in 2023. I’m a self taught crocheter since my late teens. I tried knitting in my twenties but was never successful until I found continental knitting though I still don’t like purling and tried many methods to master that stitch. I’ve downloaded just about all the patterns except the make along.
I downloaded 30 pattern of this video and am working on my 12th project so far. I love Chandi’s yarn
Wow that's awesome 💙
Each one is more beautiful than the other, how difficult to choose ❤
Azorella was my favorite pattern this year! Made mine with an alpaca/wool blend stranded together with a lace weight silk/merino.
Wonderful! 💕
Chandi, thank you so much for your beautiful patterns and also for offering them for free. I really appreciate all your videos, they have helped me enormously on my crochet journey. I get excited every Friday!....happy new year to you, Tim and all your team.
I’ve downloaded several of these and even completed a few of these projects!! ❤ I always get complimented on my EFA projects.
I think I've only downloaded 10. I'm looking forward to next year. ❤
I look forward to the Friday emails and have downloaded all except 3 or 4. Thanks for the inspiration you give weekly!!
Wonderful! 🩷
That's a great idea. Thank you for sharing! 💕
Happy New Year ❤❤❤
You and all of the patterns are beautiful ❤️.
I've loved all patterns. What I would love is some more advanced patterns for crochet ❤
I downloaded 21 patterns… I’ve gotten to make about 5 so far, many more I can’t wait to start!
I think I downloaded about 45 of the patterns. Its hard to choose a favorite. I think you've had a fantastic variety.
❤
They are all beautiful. Thanks for your work
I used the Allium set, it's great.
