Fun fact: Tony Gilroy added this character in the script for Rogue One because he and Duncan Pow who originally was an extra became friends on set after having a positive conversation with each other about life.
I was so excited when he showed up in Andor. For some reason, Melshi was always a character that stuck out to me ever since I first saw Rogue One so I’m glad they’re giving him a chance to build more of a story
This guy is a super interesting character because he’s just a soldier with a backstory. He has no direct connection to anything too important. It makes the Rebellion feel more vast than a small group of freedom fighters.
0:55 I’ve always loved that Melshi was the only one paid attention to Andor’s fake name and corrected the others when they got it wrong. Just shows how he’s more respectful and compassionate than the average person, and why he made such a good freedom fighter.
I really wish we got to see Melshi's death rather than it being off screen, I was always dissatisfied with that character conclusion even before the Andor series built their story.
Looking forward to season 2 and seeing how he reunites with Cassian and gets recruited into the rebellion. The fact that he seems proficient in handling weapons and taking cover formations makes me wonder if he had prior military experience before he was imprisoned.

Make 10 men feel like 100 is one of the hardest lines of dialogue ive ever heard
Looking forward to him being Cassian's buddy in S2
Same
there was a shot in the s2 trailer that featured him in an urban battle, looking forward to that
Andor was amazing. Andy Serkis as Kino is one of my favorite performances from Star Wars
0:11 Andor
11:21 Rogue One
