Best explanation is Obi Wan used the force to sort of stun Maul into a mini coma where he couldn't move, as ObiWan leaped over him... and then Maul simply watched Stunned as We all were as the lightsaber sliced through him.
people can say whatever they want about the prequels, and its true that they're not the best star wars movies by a longshot, but Obi-wan vs Anakin at Mustafar is the best lightsaber battle in the whole saga
CybermanFordStrikesBack Right, because the most powerful Jedi and Sith users in the Galaxy fighting like a bunch of old retired veterans from Episode IV was way more realistic.
Downton 654 To me it sounds more like "Why couldn't I save her". It doesn't matter, I looked up the lyrics. The song is written in Sanskrit, and those particular two lines don't have any translated meaning.
Alternative Ending to Duel #1 Anakin: Qui-Gon sir! wait! I'm tired! Qui-Gon: Anakin, drop! Anakin: What? Darth Maul decapitates Anakin...Darth Vader doesn't exist...the Star Wars movies become 10x more boring...
Andrew Asik technically there wouldn't be any Star Wars movies after episode I if Anakin died. Think about it, no one to save Obi Wan from Dooku so Obi Wan would be dead, General Grievous wouldn't have died to Obi wan because we would be dead, Mace Windu would have killed Emperor Palpatine, no one to become Vader because Anakin and Emperor Palpatine are dead, no Luke and Leia, Han Solo would probably be dead, no Leia + no Han = no Kylo Ren (Ben Solo), and the Jedi order would probably still exist. No Anakin, no Star Wars.
That reminds me, if you don't count Rey and Kylo vs snoke guards, the only lightsaber duel in the last jedi was in Luke's flashback which lasted 1 clash
+NeXGeN Seriously how does this video only have 475 views? I've seen another video with all the lightsaber duels, and most of them are in really low quality. You deserve more views... and oh btw... you forgot about one lightsaber duel...I'll leave you to guess what its is... But if you must know its in Episode V
+NeXGeN Luke vs. Vader in Episode V, easily. The entire series had been building to a Luke/Vader duel ever since Luke learned about his father from Obi-Wan, and it definitely didn't disappoint. All of Luke's training came into play there, and the dynamic environments with the carbon-freeze, the objects hurled by Vader, the abyss at the end helped a great deal. The end with Luke's hand being chopped off was a major shock at how quickly and painfully it happened, and there is real fear for Luke at the end... and then to make matters worse, Vader drops a major reveal that changes everything we thought we knew. The dialogue is great and has the viewer really on edge, and then it ends with Luke choosing to jump into the abyss. I doubt that can ever really be topped.
You will try... *lightsaber extends. A few moments later... George Lucas: Where is character development, is she safe, is she alright? Palpatine: It seems in your anger... You killed her. P.S. Well Played ;).
Each Lightsaber duel in each of the three trilogies have something in it, anything entertains me. But the tie of the duels has to be: Luke vs Vader on Bespin or Anakin vs Obi Wan on Mustafar.
YOU SIR ARE AWESOME! just finished watching all the way through and thankyou for compiling the best part of STARWARS in HD your video is far superior to the most watched lightsaber compilation and i will recomend it to everyone. P.S My favorite has to be Anakin Vs Obi Wan. MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU.
During Anakin and Obi Wan fight, audio cuts off for a brief moment due to copy right claim. If it wouldn't have been removed the video would of been blocked world wide. Also, I forgot to include 1 or 2 duels, my bad. And yes, Obi Wan against Jango Fett not a lightsaber duel but I put it in any ways. There goes your answers. Hope you can still enjoy the vid. :D (bruh.)
Anakin saves his master from death by a red lightsaber using a green one; 20 years later he'll save his master from death by a green lightsaber using a red one.
Anakin saved Kenobi from the red lightsaber of Dooku with his green lightsaber and 20 years later he saved the Emperor with a red lightsaber from Luke's green lightsaber?
+DiesL my take on the comment is anakin saved Ben from dooku's red saber with a green one and in the last fight he saved his new master Luke (because he taught him to let go of his anger and come to the light side) from death by a green lightsaber because the emperor would have used Luke's to kill him
Yes but it kind of makes them worst imo. I'd say the fight in the old ones are not in the lightsabers but in the feelings the opponents are trying to trigger on each other, a more force-focused fight.
Man, coming back and hearing Luke tell the Emperor "I'm a Jedi, like my father before me", and than witnessing the ABSOLUTE character assassination of Luke in The Last Jedi, it makes me appreciate the OG trilogy even more....
the original trilogy is so cinematic and each duel holds so much weight. You can see the high stakes in ben's eyes and fader's dialog shows the score. Empire's is so atmospheric, suspenseful and gritty. Although the prequel trilogy's duels are nice to look at they're shallow and look like a tv special rather than a movie going experience.
RE: OT more 'realistic' swordplay, PT less 'realistic'. The original trilogy's swordplay was based off the slower combat of the Japanese jidaigeki samurai film from the 1950s. What few people bother to unearth, is that the prequels had been CLEARLY influenced by the fast-paced, dance-like choreography of Chinese wuxia film (an associated genre to 'kung-fu' film, but not the same) that really came into its own in western markets AFTER RotJ in the 1980s. Lucas was reportedly impressed by the choreography of Sammo Hung's Moon Warriors (1993). The early 90s had a lot of wuxia film being pumped out (critics refer to it as the New Wave of Wuxia), and it wouldn't be a stretch to say Lucas was also inspired by New Dragon Gate Inn (1992), Swordsman 2 (1992) and earlier swordplay flicks like Last Hurrah for Chivalry (1979). Afterall, Lucas consumed A LOT of East-Asian material for SW, both in the originals and prequels: philosophy and costuming as well as swordfighting. Both the OT and PT have different fighting styles rooted in East-Asian martial-arts film: one Japanese, one Chinese. We shouldn't need to discuss which set of films have 'more realistic' fighting, it's besides the point in a fantasy sci-fi series. Can we not just learn to appreciate both? TL;DR: OT = jidaigeki samurai fights, PT: wuxia swordplay fights
OT fights were old men, human machines, and young kids fighting PT were highly trained combatants going against eachother makes sense that they're different
For some reason I can't help but laugh at 9:40 when that clone tries to be cool and get of the ship with obi wan and Anakin, but ends up getting shot and falls off the platform immediately.
kamodio 111 I think when he saw Luke, he realized he would be the one to destroy the Sith and bring balance. Plus he practiced immortality, so why the fuck not just die??? 😄
I think for the most part, the prequel duels are much too choreographed and flashy. But the dialogue between Obi-Wan and Anakin in their final battle is so wonderfully written and resonates so well within the context of the Star Wars universe in general, I forgive some of the stupid jumping around and deliberate lightsaber showoff bullcrap in a vain attempt to make it look more epic. I almost always get a little too emotional when Anakin is burning to death and the dialogue that occurs between he and Obi-Wan, that shit is brutal with his legs bursting to flame; it's almost rated-R material!
That's how Jedi and Sith fights are supposed to be. They're superhumans that physically augment themselves with the force and usually train in at least one of 7 light saber based martial arts. As you probably know, the reason why the OT wasn't flashy was because 1.) This was untouched territory, never been done before, 2.) Limited to what the actors could do. (The Vader suit was heavy and Obi Wan was old. We saw that Luke was more active then both of them in eps 5 and 6 duels as he was less restricted/younger)
Thanks for making (and sharing) this lightsaber duel "mix tape". I know a lot of people love the prequels but aside from a rare moment here or there, they're really hard to watch.
Something I’ve noticed with 54:31 - 54:46 is that when Darth Vader talks the music becomes very smooth but whenever Luke talks the music Is Big And Drummy , It represents how They feel , Vader feels calm about the situation while Luke feels angry and Scared , Really Clever of George to put that theme in.
Thanks to this, I am now all caught up on the Star Wars series; never had the patience to sit through the bad CGI (by today's standards of course) that were the earlier movies. :)
The Obi-Wan vs Darth Vader duel in ANH has always been pretty lame but seeing back to back with the Anakin vs Obi-Wan duel from ROTS makes it ten times better and really gets to me.
You were my brother Anakin, I loved you... That's why I'll let you burn in the lava and not give you a clean death. Now if you'll pardon me I'll leave you here and presume you died on this planet.
I think anyone would turn to the dark side if they were cut down beside a river of lava as their oldest of friends looked down on them without moving a muscle to give them aid. You see that his eyes only see the darkness completely(turn yellow) when he is lying there wailing in agony. Obi wan could have stopped so much if he wasn't blinded by the pain of Anakins betrayal at the Jedi temple.
But he had already turned to the dark side. Yes during the duel they were blue but I think they actually were yellow when he killed Nute Gunray and the Separatists. They turned back to blue when he went to Padme's ship but then of course he force choked her.
Fair to say that Grievous could've taken the opportunity to get in his ship and flee, but his over confidence consumed him into finishing Obi-Wan off, leading to his demise
The reason they have different results is that Obi-wan knew from being in the same situation not to underestimate your opponent just because you are in an advantageous position. Obi-wan caught Maul off guard so when he saw the same situation with Anakin he did not let hubris end him.
58:52 Luke: Its over father! I have the high ground. Vader: SHUT UP! I AIN'T FALLIN' FOR DAT SHIT AGAIN! And did Obi Wan really have to teach you that?! Yoda's ghost: Trust him you must, hm? Vader: SHUT UP YOU GREEN LIL' GOAT HEAD! Yoda's ghost: Hate leads to anger, and anger leads to suffering..... Vader: Oh, stop repeating yourself.... Obi Wan's ghost: Ok Anakin, it's actually over.... He has the high ground, just give up already.... Remember what I had done to you? (Vader jumps to Luke and looses his arm) Vader: AGHH Obi Wan's ghost: 3rd broken limb.... (Palpatine gets angry and strikes Vader with lightning....) Yoda's ghost: Correct, I was. To be continued.... (Reply you must and continues the story, hm?
i genuinely dont know if cutting to black as Vader takes his first breath is better than how that actual scene goes but DAAAAAAANG that was nice. also, i just realized why they gave Palpatine two lightsabers to fight Maul and Savage in the Clone Wars, because in his fight against Mace, his lightsaber goes out the window, but then he still has it against Yoda later in the film. so either he went all the way down to the bottom of the senate building to pick it up, or (more likely, considering his character) he just left it and used his second one. just had some clone go grab it for him so no senators would accidentally find it, not that he'd even care at that point. so many dead jedi littering the streets nobody would even think twice about it. i have always loved the final duel between Luke and Vader. specifically the music. A Jedi's Fury is one of the most expressive, heart wrenching pieces of music i have ever heard play in a film. every single aspect of this fight is the absolute climax of the entire trilogy. it, above all else, tells you just so well that this IS the end. this is the final duel. this is where all things will be decided. and every single part of it is tailored specifically to that end, and it is _beeeeautiful._
in all honesty I LIKED the prequels Loved the originals more but as a little kid thought the actiony scenes with the prequels were cool as fuck, can't wait for VIII
Best Lightsaber Duels (Choreography) 1. Anakin vs Obi-Wan 2. Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan vs Darth Maul 3. Luke vs Darth Vader (Ep V) 4. Luke vs Darth Vader (Ep VI) 5. Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Yoda vs Count Dooku 6. Darth Vader vs Obi-Wan Best Lightsaber Duels (Emotional) 1. Luke vs Darth Vader (Ep VI) 2. Darth Vader vs Obi-Wan 3. Luke vs Darth Vader (Ep V) 4. Anakin vs Obi-Wan 5. Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Yoda vs Count Dooku 6. Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan vs Darth Maul For the last two picks, the Episode II duel at least has the fact that Count Dooku has killed many Jedi at this point in the film, so the audience not liking him and caring at least a little bit about who wins the duel is a given. In Episode I, no one knows or cares who Darth Maul is or why he's fighting the Jedi. The sole motivation in the duel is that we don't really want the Jedi to die.
Any chance of you doing one with the duels from Force Awakens and Last Jedi? I'm planning on having this video play in the background at my wedding reception on May the Fourth
Lol That's awesome man congrats. I do wanna make a part 2 with the rest of the duels I don't have on this vid. Just working on upgrading my pc right now.
30:59 WTF! THE WHOLE REASON ANAKIN WENT TO THE DARK SIDE WAS BECAUSE HE WANTED PADME TO LIVE. Then he just choked Padme. Then once he gets his suit he cares about her again. o_o
Mix of Vader act and Anakin. Anakin wanted her to join him, when he began thinking that she was on the Jedi's side he began moving into the shoes of his Vader identity. Once it was revealed that Obi-Wan followed her, Vader took over and strangled Padme. In the end, when "Anakin" asked if she was alright, and was told she died, he lost base of his only good side. Pretty much, right after learning of Padme's death you can safely say that is was then when Anakin officially became Darth Vader. It's like how Kylo Ren from the force awakens had to let go of his only path to the light as Ben Solo so he destroyed one of the two connections left open for him to return to the light (which are his father Han Solo and mother Leia) This maybe a fan theory but it's a justifiable explanation.
@ASHTON BARKER Phasma's armor was salvaged from a Naboo Yacht just like the one we see in the video, but not from Padme's ship. Phasma's armor came from Palpatine's personal Yacht, which happened to be the same ship class. She wore it as a symbol of past power.
Awesome!! Very well done. I think the lightsaber battles from the first 6 movies are SO much better than the last 2 movies. So much more passion and drive. SO much light vs. dark. None of this gray garbage that's starting to surface. Good vs Evil. Period.
Im animating star wars battles in stickfigure type animation. Ive done darth maul, Obi wan vs anakin, and Obi Wan and Anakin VS The count himself (Is it duku? Duko? How do I spell that?) But I plan to make grievous Next....
Yoda: Master of force
Mace Windu: Master of Offense

The way Yoda just discards the royal guards was always hilarious to me.
They need a voiceover... someone saying "shutcho bitchass up" or sumthin
31:57
Darth maul, the only dude who had the high ground and still lost
Well, Palpatine had help so that doesn't count.
Miguel Freitas Grevious
Miguel Freitas actually Obi Wan had the high ground.
From a certain point of view.
Well, he let his guard down
Best explanation is Obi Wan used the force to sort of stun Maul into a mini coma where he couldn't move, as ObiWan leaped over him... and then Maul simply watched Stunned as We all were as the lightsaber sliced through him.
people can say whatever they want about the prequels, and its true that they're not the best star wars movies by a longshot, but Obi-wan vs Anakin at Mustafar is the best lightsaber battle in the whole saga
Yeah, even though it looks unrealistic, flashy, and looks like a dance battle.
CybermanFordStrikesBack thats how lightsaber combat was.
What do you prefer the one where the emotion didn't make sense
CybermanFordStrikesBack how is any part of Star Wars realistic? Lmao yes it was extremely choreographed but very well done.
CybermanFordStrikesBack Right, because the most powerful Jedi and Sith users in the Galaxy fighting like a bunch of old retired veterans from Episode IV was way more realistic.
Darth Maul, the only cinematic character to ever kill Liam Neeson
I know that this wasn't a character that killed Liam Neeson, but in The Grey, a pack of wolves ate him.

Revenge of the Sith is so unappreciated
The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones are pretty underappreciated as well ;)
My personal favourite.
Just shit
I think the prequels are pretty decent and interesting in terms of building up the universe
Matthew Brant Thats because it sucks
Mace Windu was such a badass. A perfect blend of dark and light.
nikkolodian that sounds racist
Charlie Nofear21 Not THAT kind of light and dark! The light and dark side of the force!
+Charlie Nofear21 I lol'd too hard
nikkolodian Idk man he's mostly dark
nikkolodian mace windu is on the light side
That unnecessary flip over the balcony that Dooku does always cracks me up!
If you listen carefully at 44:45 in the singing you can make out the words:I am a Sith Lord.
+Downton 654 well spotted
Downton 654 Dang, I never noticed that.
Downton 654 Afterwards, it sounds like "but I have lost _", I can't make out the rest.
+Nicolas Brandon It says, Why have I lost her. (Talking about Padme)
Downton 654 To me it sounds more like "Why couldn't I save her". It doesn't matter, I looked up the lyrics. The song is written in Sanskrit, and those particular two lines don't have any translated meaning.
My prequels love has doubled since the last time we met, Count.

I agree
Also forgot Han Solo vs.Tauntaun

Dont lecture me original trilogy fanatics, i dont fear the prequels as you do..
Lol I brought freedom, justice and security to my new trilogy ;).
Egon Tokessy My allegiance is too the originals, to character development!
If you are not with me, then you are a fanboy ;).

Like 70% of this video is just from Revenge of the Sith. There are like 8 duels in that movie lol
it would be a much shorter video if you where right
5 only actually
I can't believe there's an hour's worth of light saber duels.
Thank the maker!
Each Lightsaber duel in each of the three trilogies have something in it, anything entertains me.
But the tie of the duels has to be:
Luke vs Vader on Bespin or Anakin vs Obi Wan on Mustafar.

Obi wan and qui jon jin vs darth maul, you are forgetting

One thing I've noticed is that the prequel defenetly had better lightsaber battles
i agree
Well no shit, they were 16 years later
@@monsieurboks And a few million more dollars
rotoscoping the lightsabers took so much more time back then

great video, even tho i can't see how Obi-Wan vs Jango is a lightsaber duel.
Or luke v boba
Amazing. Great job! felt like I just watched all the movies in an hour!
Say what you will, but the prequel duels brought more action than the original trilogy
FINALLY SOMEONE THAT UNDERSTANDS!!!!
Too bad all the action was bad CGI and no realism.
Yes but it kind of makes them worst imo. I'd say the fight in the old ones are not in the lightsabers but in the feelings the opponents are trying to trigger on each other, a more force-focused fight.

The fight between luke and vader in both 5 and 6 are the best in the series without a doubt-they have so much emotion and weight to them it is insane.
Na obi wan vs Anikan is way better
"Only a sith deals in absolutes, I will do what I must." Obi-goat

Afterall, Lucas consumed A LOT of East-Asian material for SW, both in the originals and prequels: philosophy and costuming as well as swordfighting.
Both the OT and PT have different fighting styles rooted in East-Asian martial-arts film: one Japanese, one Chinese. We shouldn't need to discuss which set of films have 'more realistic' fighting, it's besides the point in a fantasy sci-fi series. Can we not just learn to appreciate both?
TL;DR: OT = jidaigeki samurai fights, PT: wuxia swordplay fights
tfw the TL;DR section is actually longer than the first part
+Leon Price Fair play haha Edited it around.
Bloody useless *HOLY SHIIIIIIIIIIIT!*
OT fights were old men, human machines, and young kids fighting
PT were highly trained combatants going against eachother
makes sense that they're different
Yoda The in-universe explanation, that is. ;) I thought I'd provide the stylistic explanation.
Do you ever think count Dooku is a vampire
Minecraft Kai 101 He was the count dracula in the old movies.
The legendemic 2 I once thought count dooku was tom jones!
Dooku is also a dentist
Jay R. Bacalando And a great and powerful wizard
Excellent compilation. Thank goodness you ended it there... Episodes I-VI are the only Official Canon for me.
I appreciate the smooth transitions between scenes in this. It's a nice extra touch!
For some reason I can't help but laugh at 9:40 when that clone tries to be cool and get of the ship with obi wan and Anakin, but ends up getting shot and falls off the platform immediately.
Lol you should've included mace Windu vs Jango fett

+Rogan Slocombe what
+TheBurgerHut7 this video is Lightsaber duals not all battles including blaster battles etc
+monster high bgc it's a joke buddy. And you spelled duel wrong
+TheBurgerHut7 OK but you knew what I meant right 😏
47:40 "now that I've got an audience for my next act I will disappear into thin air" obi-wan kenobi
to be continued... ->
kamodio 111 I think when he saw Luke, he realized he would be the one to destroy the Sith and bring balance.
When one learns about the intricacies in lightsaber combat and gains knowledge in the seven forms it is rather graceful
KrisJM1234 there when the jedi and sith were highly trained and at the height of power of course there gonna be professional and fast pace about it
Thanks for making (and sharing) this lightsaber duel "mix tape". I know a lot of people love the prequels but aside from a rare moment here or there, they're really hard to watch.
you can say whatever you want about the prequels but the Lightsaber battles were amazing!
About time we see the man in green himself fight against dooku
How can anyone dislike this???
star trek fans
No, the prequels.
ask the 173 people that disliked the video
54:31 - 54:46 Best Moment In All of TV and Cinematic history.
Ima be honest the prequel fight scenes are so much better
o rly
I like how you end each saber duel with that sound and transition to the next battle. very cool editing
No it wasn't lame in 1977
Darth Vader Yes it was
Maisie Ridley anakin and obi wan were old and hadn't had a duel for ages. Course it was lame, they were weaker and less agile.
This is a better version of Obi wan Vs Vader - ua-cam.com/video/tOBMJJSe66g/v-deo.html
Stephen Berry Vader was killing Jedi for nearly 20 years before the Obi-Wan duel. Trust me he wasn't rusty...
I just love Star Wars!
The lightsaber duelists of The Clone Wars, or even The First Galactic Civil War, could beat Kylo Ren or Rey easily.
I feel like Luke Skywalker from ESB would mop the foor with kyo ren and ray
Kylo Ren wasn’t fully trained and Rey is completely untrained so yeah
So true
They never learned to fight with a light saber, so it's realistic.
Intergalactic Human Empire ciągną
18:39 you can see count dookus head fall off
2019??
Touching. At the end the luminous side of the force prevails. Let the force be with you, brothers and sisters
Idc what anyone says, dooku is a badass
yes indeed
i mean hes agile and quick and has a unique curved hilt but this one goes to malgus
Especially in cw
If you read Son of Dathomir, he’s such a boss
I swear if Yoda was younger like 350yrs with two lightsabers, he would be freaky fast.
Younger. And 350 years. Not the best couple.
Tamriel Gamer he was in his 800s or 900s in the movies
Nega Nail with a Moustache If Yoda were younger*
Patrick O'Gara I believe somewhere around 900 in the prequels and 930 in the originals
You were my brother Anakin, I loved you... That's why I'll let you burn in the lava and not give you a clean death. Now if you'll pardon me I'll leave you here and presume you died on this planet.
He couldn't kill him because Jedi never kill those with less defense, that's not nice.
GMD JNok
was a joke lel
+Vincent Claveau really what did Anakin do to Douku then he killed him when he had no weapon
HIGH GROUND!!!
I'm gonna take your lightsaber too, yep, good night.
Good shit man, glad you kept the heartbreaking moment after Obi Wan beats Anakin :P
Thank you for going all out. This video was great!
I think anyone would turn to the dark side if they were cut down beside a river of lava as their oldest of friends looked down on them without moving a muscle to give them aid. You see that his eyes only see the darkness completely(turn yellow) when he is lying there wailing in agony. Obi wan could have stopped so much if he wasn't blinded by the pain of Anakins betrayal at the Jedi temple.
just say sorry and theyll forgive you especially if you give them a cookie and hot chocolate
But he had already turned to the dark side. Yes during the duel they were blue but I think they actually were yellow when he killed Nute Gunray and the Separatists. They turned back to blue when he went to Padme's ship but then of course he force choked her.
I think everyone is a sith because when some one you love dies you will always be sad and mad.
Fair to say that Grievous could've taken the opportunity to get in his ship and flee, but his over confidence consumed him into finishing Obi-Wan off, leading to his demise
Watch 42:03 then 06:19, wtf???
Lol So true...
Bradley Hudson high ground is obi wans thing
Bradley Hudson lol
Bradley Hudson obi one is very good at back flips through the force. Love both scenes
The reason they have different results is that Obi-wan knew from being in the same situation not to underestimate your opponent just because you are in an advantageous position. Obi-wan caught Maul off guard so when he saw the same situation with Anakin he did not let hubris end him.
Love the thuds between scenes, nice subtle editing.
This just underlines how much better movies 1,2 and 3 were than 7,8 and probably 9 are/will be.
I don't get why people dislike the use of so much CGI, it doesn't look that bad
+Ryan Murphy There actually isn't as much CGI as people say there is. In fact, the Prequels use more props than the Original trilogy.
+Chancellor Supreme Bullshit
+Chancellor Supreme I can easily call bullshit on that 100%.

Kyle Stankovich true that
Kyle Stankovich Qui Gon said they'd handle it
Rogue One Vader Ending:
*OPENFIRE!*
Great editing work except for the audio glitch in Anakin vs Obi Wan duel
had to remove song because video got blocked.
Nexgen upload another one including Vaders lightsaber scene in Rogue One
yeah sure
Videos like this are a reminder of a time when the series was great 😢
awesome video and editing was on point
37:52 why dont you take your lightsaber
58:52
Luke: Its over father!
(Vader jumps to Luke and looses his arm)
Vader: AGHH
Obi Wan's ghost: 3rd broken limb....
(Palpatine gets angry and strikes Vader with lightning....)
Yoda's ghost: Correct, I was.
To be continued.... (Reply you must and continues the story, hm?
Colin Tam 27 hahahahahahaha
Cat shit starts orbiting the 3rd star from the centre of The Galaxy
may the mass times acceleration be with you
Ahahahahhahaa
LOL because mass×acceleration=force! That's a fact.
OH is that from the science wars? I forgot the channel name!
+MLP Fanatic I learned that fact in my school.
EnderSteve 915 same
i genuinely dont know if cutting to black as Vader takes his first breath is better than how that actual scene goes but DAAAAAAANG that was nice.
also, i just realized why they gave Palpatine two lightsabers to fight Maul and Savage in the Clone Wars, because in his fight against Mace, his lightsaber goes out the window, but then he still has it against Yoda later in the film. so either he went all the way down to the bottom of the senate building to pick it up, or (more likely, considering his character) he just left it and used his second one. just had some clone go grab it for him so no senators would accidentally find it, not that he'd even care at that point. so many dead jedi littering the streets nobody would even think twice about it.
i have always loved the final duel between Luke and Vader. specifically the music.
59:37 to 1:01:30 best scene in the entire Star Wars franchise , the music gets me every time, superbly done
All you need to win a light saber dual is have the high ground
Tell that to Maul he lost with the high ground
AND the high ground
That makes no sense, I wish to join the dark side and see what happens to force read your mind If you make no sense at all.
38:00... that weird sound... sounds like that thing from Mario Kart...
Nexgen, I have to profess my love to you for this. Like...
I love you.
5:11 love them blocks
this is one of the best videos i have seen i love it
in all honesty I LIKED the prequels
Loved the originals more but as a little kid thought the actiony scenes with the prequels were cool as fuck, can't wait for VIII
the sacred texts!
Best Lightsaber Duels (Choreography)
1. Anakin vs Obi-Wan
2. Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan vs Darth Maul
3. Luke vs Darth Vader (Ep V)
4. Luke vs Darth Vader (Ep VI)
5. Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Yoda vs Count Dooku
6. Darth Vader vs Obi-Wan
Best Lightsaber Duels (Emotional)
1. Luke vs Darth Vader (Ep VI)
2. Darth Vader vs Obi-Wan
3. Luke vs Darth Vader (Ep V)
4. Anakin vs Obi-Wan
5. Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Yoda vs Count Dooku
6. Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan vs Darth Maul
For the last two picks, the Episode II duel at least has the fact that Count Dooku has killed many Jedi at this point in the film, so the audience not liking him and caring at least a little bit about who wins the duel is a given. In Episode I, no one knows or cares who Darth Maul is or why he's fighting the Jedi. The sole motivation in the duel is that we don't really want the Jedi to die.
what's that font used to show the names of the duellers?
Clarence Soo I think it's called Black caps
the font name is clarence
Any chance of you doing one with the duels from Force Awakens and Last Jedi? I'm planning on having this video play in the background at my wedding reception on May the Fourth
Lol That's awesome man congrats. I do wanna make a part 2 with the rest of the duels I don't have on this vid. Just working on upgrading my pc right now.
Fantastic editing job my dude! Very well done
30:59 WTF! THE WHOLE REASON ANAKIN WENT TO THE DARK SIDE WAS BECAUSE HE WANTED PADME TO LIVE. Then he just choked Padme. Then once he gets his suit he cares about her again. o_o
No because they had cookies but when he noticed light side has waffles He turned light but it was too late
Republic waffles are no good out here
Mix of Vader act and Anakin.
It's like how Kylo Ren from the force awakens had to let go of his only path to the light as Ben Solo so he destroyed one of the two connections left open for him to return to the light (which are his father Han Solo and mother Leia)
This maybe a fan theory but it's a justifiable explanation.
Amazing series. About 15 hours of film. Yet only an hour of lightsaber fights😪
Fun fact:
that silver ship that young anakin gets on in EP1 later becomes captain phasma's armor after they dismantle it.
Federal agent Holton wow I'm huge Star Wars fan but I never knew that
@ASHTON BARKER Phasma's armor was salvaged from a Naboo Yacht just like the one we see in the video, but not from Padme's ship.
Period.
Ive been looking forward to this
Best part... No jar jar binks
Lol
indeed
Im animating star wars battles in stickfigure type animation. Ive done darth maul, Obi wan vs anakin, and Obi Wan and Anakin VS The count himself (Is it duku? Duko? How do I spell that?) But I plan to make grievous Next....
VideoGame Madness//VGM I took a look at your channel. could you upload them. in very interested in seeing them
VideoGame Madness//VGM duku
Say what you will about the prequels, they had amazingly fun and well choreographed duels
Who could of possibly down voted this? Such great scenes. Thanks!
Tom Hurley maybe the anti prequel trilogy are down voters
Jeb Loves Conspiracy makes sense.
thank you for this. i love this so much. i love yoda! such a beast. :D
