Several posts claiming ur spreading BS re news of a MY refresh release before 2025 must not realize this is the world of Tesla. Stuff gets thrown on the internet all the time and there are bits and pieces of truth that get leaked and you did say, “take it with a grain of salt.”
If I had a nickel for every rumor re the Cybertruk that was spread re its launch, I would’ve been a very rich man! Folks just gotta relax…

All I have to say. They are trying to empty out all their inventory by the end of this month, and the model Y I just ordered still hasn't gotten a VIN. NOT TO MENTION, they did the lowest interest rate at about a percent earlier this month or last month (I forgot). So I'd say it's a high probability for that 50/50

As someone eagerly waiting for Juniper, I'm probably reading too much into things, but interesting that Elon put "refresh" in quotes. Maybe it's not considered a refresh, but a "brand new" Model Y? (this year?) I'm probably overanalyzing - it'll get here when it gets here.
This was my thoughts too. I think I’m looking too much into the quotations. Could be wrong though!
Waiting now already 6 months for Juniper! As soon it launches I will be buying it directly !!
I believe it will be china's mini refresh will be the update, which will be RGB cabin light and a passenger monitor in the back.
So many confusing things happening. I do not think we will see Juniper until later this year, maybe. However, Tesla just upped the lease cost by $50/mo. on the model Y last night. I have been waiting to see discounts coming the last 2 weeks of this quarter, however an advisor at Tesla just told me this morning he does not see anything but price increases and finance increases from this point forward, due to there being an inventory shortage of Y's, at least here in Oregon. Estimated time to receive, 1 month or more.

Total disinformation/BS(!) There is no Juniper in 'production', and not until maybe mid-2026. Maybe some tweaks/upgrades/refinements, but Juniper is 'different' and I expect battery, 48V, etherhub, drive/steer-by-wire in Juniper(...?) STOP trying to hype the delivery of the product, because it only leads to more FUD, and Tesla doesn't need your advertising(.)

Maybe Elon is talking about there will be no Model Y Juniper coming to the US market in 2024. I seem to remember that the Model 3 refresh came later in the US.

I ordered MYP QS in may with .99 and still no Vin with delivery est Jun 29-30 which means nothing till I get VIN. Every day this month the app staus have offerd a few alternatives to take delivery from inventory at a discount for any color but QS. Maybe all QS are with some kind of Elon updates.

It’s like a yo-yo between whether or not the new Model Y is/isn’t releasing this year, but I guess we all understand it’s a very fluid situation.
Personally, I’m thinking I’ll probably wait until after the 1st of the year to buy it whether it comes out this year or not, that way any kinks are worked out- as first runs sometimes have assembly line “issues” (panel gaps, paint problems, etc). This way I’m not disappointed whether we see MY before 2025 or not.
But if Elon offers FSD owners to transfer their FSD over to a new purchase or they do something crazy like 0.9% on a new MY (which I doubt they would bc it was mainly to clear out levels of current inventory), I’d stick to my guns and wait until Q1 of next year to buy the refresh. 👍🏼

It'll definitely be very interesting to see how the Juniper is priced compared to Q1 and 2 MY prices.
Do you have any investment in Tesla? Is the only option I can explain your comment. Even Elon said that Juniper won't be only a refresh but a complete renovation of the Model Y. It will be a far superior car, with far superior battery technology.
I think Tesla should raise prices and hold off at least 1-2 years on any refresh to get away from this ridiculousness of everyone waiting for the new one to come out. Seriously, unless you are an enthusiast, your everyday driver should absolutely buy now. No doubt about it. It’s a simple decision. I am invested in Tesla but I drive an update cars every few years because I drive 40k a year. No reason for anyone to wait for “refresh” unless they need to always be the one with the new car.
@@jamess.9164 I enjoy this conversation as I've been conflicted about buying a MY now or waiting. I just took delivery of a MYLR all wheel, my 3rd electric car but first Tesla. I've had my 2nd electric car for 9 years and wanted, firmly, to wait for the refresh and pay with cash, anticipating that I'd have my car for a long time. In essence, I wanted the best/latest features for the long haul. The .99% financing changed my mind. Instead, I now have a great car that will be slightly outdated when Juniper releases. However, I'm able to use interest from my high yield savings account to cover the monthly payments due to low financing instead of paying cash and reducing the account by a chunk. This may also allow me, if I choose, to easily buy another car in several years if I want to. There's more to my decision but that's the gist of it. Everyone has their personal reasons for taking delivery now or waiting. It's fun to learn what works best for others and why.

Meanwhile China announces a car and in less than a year it's been mass produced.
