The concept, the misery, the cinematography 👌 So good And Pete flying out to cheer on his mate is just the cherry on the cake 🍰 I cant wait to see Tom's next "out of retirement" climb 😮
Oh, hi Mike! I've been watching and loving your videos since the beginning, and I'm so happy to see you get into climbing. Are there any skills you've gained along the years that have translated into your climbing?
Saw some Wideboys holds at my local gym earlier, first time crack climbing. It made me feel like a professional, crack climbing is SOOO much fun, thank you for making those holds! Please give us more :))
my gym recently set a little crack for the first time no wideboyz holds, just a proof of concept and nothing super exciting but i really hope there will be more maybe i should ask them if they'd get wideboyz volumes, i do know some of the setters after all
Tom Randall: "I'll never do anything like that again". Fast forward to a couple years from now and Tom does another epic thing and states "I'll never do anything like that again"
@5:03 "I am not THAT stupid" - Tom Random, 2024 It's hard to believe we are lucky enough to watch some of the greatest climbers in the world, with our own eyes, doing some of the biggest achievements humanly possible here in youtube. I mean, imagine being able to view to first ascent of Mount Everest, or seeing the first 6A being climbed in FB, but we never had video recording of those... It's so thrilling to now have videos documenting this great human achievements, like Nalle with BoD, AO with Silence, and so on. And then there's Tom Random and his shenanigans. Well, as my doctor would say "The key to life is balance, if you do a little bit of drugs, you need to eat a little bit of salad." This is my dose of UA-cam crack. Love it.
So at 8c+, is this the new world's hardest free solo? Tom didn't actually clip in to any gear, so there wasn't any protection from a fall, just an exit strategy if the endurance runs out. And surely a 60m route cannot be classified as a boulder.
2:14. It is hysterical that they just DIY gear from random stuff. Even the pole vaulters will make foot pads out of bicycle inner tubes, rather than there being some kind of foot shield available for it.
Offwidth climbing is particularly niche, not a lot of companies looking to make money designing gear for it. The fact that somebody as big as Black Diamond makes cams as big as the #7 & 8 is already amazing since all the other options are garage shops.
5:36 was this a compliment?....I'm not 100% sure 😅 Another banger project! I love how you don't shy away from weird and "unorthodox" routes! Always having fun and exploring possibilities! Keep on smashing! 🤟
was not expecting to finish this video, but I was soon hooked! you did a great job bringing us into your head space. I like slab climbing, but hearing your mental games all I could compare it to was distance running.
This is a historical send for this channel and for crack climbing and climbing in general! Awesome Tom what a beast! Pete giving that energy too completed this for me :)
Realistically you could've given it any grade you want because no one is repeating this anytime soon 🤣🤣. Also love how jolly Pete gets when pain and misery are mentionned 24:05
Congrats Tom! Glad to see you are still pushing yourself to new heights! Or lengths? not depths at least, that was scary for a little bit, not many people can say they've free soloed O6!
Following the pattern, we will either have to wait 10 or 3 years for Tom's return from "retirement" for another audacious project. :) Hopefully it would be much sooner! This is looked brutal! Legendary stuff!
Fantastic entertainment, and as someone else has already said, it's where imagination takes us in climbing that makes it such a wonderful pursuit. I used to dream about climbing, but I'm wondering whether Tom has nightmares about offwidths 😄 Thanks guys 👍👍
How do you train to something like that? Like watch a movie like a bat? Or going 15min at the time doing 3 sets a day?? How did not your body brake when prepareing to something like that? Mindboggled! 🤯 And huge respect!!

I love climbing because it takes you to amazing places you never imagined, like under a bridge to do crack
I'm pretty sure Red Hot Chilli peppers wrote a song about that 😂
lmao
Been there, done that 😂
And get to rub Pidgeon shit into your cuts.
Crack is pretty great.
Those two cams hanging down are actually Toms massive balls of steel.
Well, aluminum, mostly
@@Govanificationgod damnit you beat me to it. You said it wrong though.
It’s aluminum not aluminum. He’s British damnit

Finally some solid bouldering content on this channel!
'I don't want to use the good stuff, it is just my knees.' is proper trad climber hardcore.
Sending the first ascent of an 8c+ essentially free solo is actually insane. Incredible grind at the end there Tom. Wow!
Didnt expect Berlin of all places to have crack climbers hardest offwidth, but here we are. 2024 keeps on giving.
Saw some Wideboys holds at my local gym earlier, first time crack climbing. It made me feel like a professional, crack climbing is SOOO much fun, thank you for making those holds! Please give us more :))
More on their way! Stay tuned 💪😎

As a German I can confirm this is a bridge.
As an observer i can tell this is a Bridge but thanks anyway 😅
großartig!! hahahahaha
As an American sheetrock hanger I can confirm 😂😂
We need How Not 2 to do a pull test on that 6mm cord to belay loop setup!
Thought that straight away, get them in the cam crusher
Tom Randall: "I'll never do anything like that again". Fast forward to a couple years from now and Tom does another epic thing and states "I'll never do anything like that again"
5mins in and this already seems like absolute madness to even attempt. massive props to you Tom!
Tom climbed so many bridges he can surely distinguish car brands from the vibrations he feels in his legs 😂
Tom, you are an absolute legend.
The sheer pain tolerance these guys have is wild 😂
An O6 is freakin’ nails. Guess we’ll never know. Although Tom did get rid of a lot of spider webs in there, a lot cleaner for Adam’s go. If it’s soon.

"Tom Random" would be the perfect nickname or artist name for Tom!
The cobweb in his hair at 23:53 is so good 🤣
watching this video upsidedown is hilarious
You'll have to upload that to youtube, I'm too lazy to change my monitor settings :P
this is the best fucking comment ever thank you
watch a man find it extremely difficult and enduring to wade through a crack with his feet stuck
When he pads his butt hahaha. Completely out of context with the video upside down.
Also the floating cams look quite happy.😂
😂😂 he looks like he is doing a shit job of cleaning a slit trench 😂😂
The cams just dangling around below tom a freaking hilarious. The cobweb in the hair also very fitting for such a ridiculous and impressive feat

good point!!!
That thought struck me too. I guess the question is if this is high enough off the deck to classify as a free solo
Bouldering is about height, not length, isn't it?
I think it would be considered daisy soloing
@@AdrienGiboire its a good question. I wopuld have to agree. There was little death potential with this climb. more like a really bad day if you fall.

Many spiders that day were like wtf
The Wide Boyz are the coolest cats in all of climbing, and and I'll stand on Shawn Raboutou's coffee table in my old La Sportivas and say that.
Glad someone else likes climbing and is a TVZ and Steve Earl fan!

I love that it was given an O grade. 😂😂😂 Way to go, Tom!
Amazing effort....and result! 👏👏
It just needed another one of Tom's acoustic guitar numbers for a soundtrack! 😁👍
This has to be one of the most energy intensive ways to clear out the cobwebs from a bridge
So good to see Tom "back in the zone".
Only jams. It's Pete and Tom just sticking their hands and feet in random things but we never see anything abone the knee or elbow.
Solid! Awesome! Persistent! Really good show mate! Bloody bully! Right On sticking to the fight!! 💪😊💪

New Wideboyz urban roof crack bonkers-ness let's goooooo
Shirts look incredible, cant wait for mine to arrive!
Fuckin hell, that’s one gnarly route. Mega props and mad respect!
Out of retirement and straight in the frier your a legend bruv the webs on your feet are wild congratulations 🥳
Congrats! The part form 20:00 is really funny to watch with the screen upside down.
Absolute bloody legend mate. The grind was real on that one!
Congrats Tom! Glad to see you are still pushing yourself to new heights! Or lengths? not depths at least, that was scary for a little bit, not many people can say they've free soloed O6!
I really Love you Boyz !!
That was superb. For someone who has the fear at times you seem to have an incredible ability to rationalise it out of the way.
So great to see T. Randall back on the channel!
Tom, you absolute legend!
Absolute unit! Cracking effort
Would love to see a training regimen video for this rig!
Insane work. Respect.
I'm willing to bet that this will likely be the last route these shoes will ever be climbing. /hj
The light under the bridge at 2:40 onwards is just awesome. Cover Shot. Did anyone take pictures? :D
Yes Peppo who helped with filming on the ascent took some photos during working sessions 👍 yeah really cool light!
Incredible!
Incredible! Good job Tom!

Great send! Those cactus in your office need more light! They are starting to cone!
That was incredible, best of the best what a legend tom is 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
I really love seeing people push themselves :)
Absolute Beast Mode!!!!
Well done , you smashed that one out the park mate.
Absolutely mental. Mad respect. ❤
LEGEND TOM
The cobweb in the hair at the end is amazing
Amazing job Tom. O6 is madness, though, because surely Adam would come extremely prepared after getting shut down on his first session.
tom youre an absolute specimen!! go on ya! congrats!
well done! That was awesome to watch, thank you for sharing that with us.
That looked tough! Great job!
Great stuff!!
Absolute mad man. Love it
"Under the bridge downtown, where I drew some blood"😂
What an accomplishment! Loved it!
excellent video and brilliant job!
Man, just started climbing a month ago, and this makes me want to go climb a crack so bad. Tom is a beast!
How do you train to something like that? Like watch a movie like a bat? Or going 15min at the time doing 3 sets a day?? How did not your body brake when prepareing to something like that? Mindboggled! 🤯 And huge respect!!
Salute! Loving the video.
Man you are a legend! What an effort. So good.
Super inspiring, Tom!
Really big congratulations
Good that it was in Berlin and not Dresden. Otherwise climbing below a bridge would have been even more scary...
That one took me a minute to get😂😂
Bridge died.

Troll solo bridge climb. Amazing effort, physically and mentally! Well done! 😁👍
This is exactly what I was hoping for when you guys went quiet for a while
Good effort! 🎉
Fantastic effort. Well Deserved
Tom's looking shredded.
Very impressive. Well done!
That's one hell of an achievement! You've earned the right to sound anyway u want to! 🙏🤜
Absolutely sick! Great work Tom, such a massive effort. Someone should've grabbed that spiderweb out of his hair though 😂
Congrats Tom awesome send!
congratulations 🎉 that's insane!
amazing performance tom!
Great effort Tom!
Smooth sailing. Just like the Autobahn used to be ;)
This is BRILLANT
