  • What’s the true story of the hundreds of thousands of displaced people in the Middle East? One of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict’s biggest hot potatoes is the idea that ethnic cleansing transpired against Palestinians in 1948, earning the episode the title "the Nakba."
Farha is a new film on Netflix depicting Israeli forces murdering a Palestinian family during the 1948 war surrounding Israel’s creation has been condemned by Israeli officials as “creating a false narrative”. We are zooming out to give you a wider perspective of the events that caused the removal of both Palestinians and Jews from their homes in pre-and-post state Israel.

There is no single answer here, because, to an extent, they are all true:
There were Arabs and Muslims who fled British Mandatory Palestine ahead of the modern State of Israel's foundation either because they feared or simply did not want to die in the coming inevitable war, or because Arab leadership advised them to get out of the way. Arab leaders also promised they could return to their homes once the Jews were forced out. Historically, we know that they failed at this last bit.
There were Arabs and Muslims who were forced out of BMP by the newly-formed Israeli army because Israel did not want potential enemies inside their gates helping the Arab armies. This is strategically sound, even as it creates refugees. If it's small consolation, at least the Israeli army weren't trying to cleanse the land of Arabs and Muslims by r*ping and killing them. Yes, small consolation indeed.
But there's a third category that is very seldom spoken of: The Arabs and Muslims who stayed, becoming Israeli citizens with full rights. Some Arab and Muslim Israelis even serve in its government, and talk openly about how they are going to destroy the Jewish state, without fear of being arrested. This, to me, is weird, but I guess the Jewish Israelis figure they prefer the enemy they know and can watch over those they don't.
There is also a demographic issue that Israel faces, and has faced since it was still BMP, and that issue is defined by its twin character as both a Jewish and a democratic state:
Jews are an incredibly small minority in both the Middle East and in the world at large. If Israel allowed unrestricted immigration into Israel by other cultural and religious groups, they would become a minority within their own country, and Israel would therefore cease to be the Jewish state. This is exactly what the British attempted to do in the 1920s and 1930s with the White Papers, limiting Jewish migration to BMP, while encouraging Arabs and Muslims to flood the land, in order to snuff out the Jewish state before it could even be formed. It almost worked, too, especially when Jewish migration was extremely tightly restricted during the Second World War, but then the world went on a giant guilt trip over their passive role in the Holocaust, and the international community decided to assuage that guilt by letting Jews have Israel.
For the same reason, allowing the Palestinian refugees to live in Israel would also make Jews there into a minority, even if they were allowed to stay. Because Israel is a democracy, then, the Palestinians would have more political power in Parliament than the Jews, and be able to force through whatever changes they wanted, up to and including establishing the Islamic Republic of Lesser Iran that HAMAS states they want to establish there in their charter. This is something that Israel absolutely cannot allow, so they have to bar Palestinians' demand for the right of return since they see this is an existential threat toward Israel as a Jewish and democratic state. Especially since the UNRWA definition for refugee status is conferred in perpetuity to every descendent of the original Palestinian refugees. So instead of about 700,000 refugees, Israel has to deal with over two million in Gaza alone.
It should be noted that the UNRWA is the only refugee advocacy agency in the world that operates in such a way as to perpetuate the refugee status of the peoples for whom it is responsible, and it is only responsible for Palestinians in the Middle East. Whenever Palestinians have migrated to other parts of the world, other agencies have taken over, and these agents help these Palestinians shed their refugee status by becoming full citizens in their new countries. The UNRWA does not do that, because it is designed to keep the Palestinians as refugees, not to help them become citizens. Other such agencies that were formed in the wake of the Second World War in order to handle the process of land and population exchanges that was popular back then have long since closed up shop because their jobs are all done. The UNRWA, though, is still around because making citizens is not their job.
This is incredibly unfair to the Palestinians of the Middle East, who lack the sense of security that they should have, but none of the Arab nations want to absorb them. Part of the reason borders like Egypt's remain closed to them is because previously when countries like Lebanon and Jordan did accept them, terrorists also went with the civilians, and conducted uprisings from within their new countries. One organization tried to assassinate the King of Jordan. Hezbollah took over Southern Lebanon. And of course, HAMAS took over Gaza. The other Arab nations do not want to risk a militarist uprising within their borders, so they turn all Palestinians away.
So yes, a multifaceted, very complicated situation. But I place significant blame for it on the British for their mishandling of their mandatory responsibilities, and also because they wanted to prevent the Jewish state from becoming a thing, and in doing so, they really, really messed up the region.

Very intelligently reasoned video, also many excellent rebuttals below. Arguments can be made ad infinitum on both sides. However. Around the period of the two world wars, empires fell, millions of people were displaced and killed, boundaries shifted, countries were created and destroyed. Everyone has been a victim at some point. But there is today one group of people in the world who continue to wage a war they lost 75 years ago. At some point you have to accept the existing reality and figure out a way to reach a new equilibrium and live in peace. Not resort to terrorism when it's not even clear what your goals are, except to wipe out Israel. A two state solution has been proposed many times, and was rejected by the Palestinian side. The population of Gaza could easily be absorbed into other Arab nations, yet they refuse. You cannot expect that Israel will simply fold up and die. I don't agree with everything Israel has done, but on the whole what I see here is one side behaving as members of the modern world, and another side behaving as if we are still in the stone age. No way will I side with or have any sympathy for those who brutally and sadistically attacked innocents. They were offered a country of their own many times, and refused. Because what they want is to eliminate Israel. That ship has sailed. You fought the war, you lost. It might be unjust, or not perfectly just, but it's reality now. Stop trying to drag the rest of the world into the past. If those in Gaza would spend their millions in aid money on their population instead of on weapons and tunnels to slaughter innocents, they could be living so much better than Arabs in many neighboring countries. We are sick of your hatred and your fighting. Stop it.

I may add that the Arabs in that region were all on the side of the Nazis during World War 1 and 2 and the losing side usually suffers some consequences. These are the same Arabs that celebrated 9/11! Israel is accused of being Apartheid, yet there are over a million Muslims in Israel and not one Jew in Gaza, so who is apartheid? But you hit it on the head about the need for the Palestinians to move on because this is the only group of people allowed to be perpetual victims, and attacking Israel is not going to further the prospects of a 2 state solution! ( It's quite obvious that's not what they want) The useful idiots protesting on their behalf would be better served convincing the Palestinians to accept Israel as a nation!

    • @salahudinfarah221
      @salahudinfarah221 Рік тому

It's very difficult to tell a people that lost their land and were herded into a prison to "move on". Let's think this through: you were born in the British Mandate of Palestine. Half a million Jews were shipped from lord knows where. They declared a country. War broke out, of course, because the British promised both the Zionist Jews land that was populated and the Arabs a state. You were expelled from your home and ended up somewhere in the West Bank. The war ended very quickly. You were told you were never going to go back to your home ever. You hate the Zionist Jews that won't allow you back into your home.
Do you expect these same people to give people that obviously hate them a country with a functional military? Please. The Zionist Jews don't want a 2 state solution, just like how the Palestinians don't want a 2 state solution so they can return home. The 2 state solution is a joke. Even if a country called Palestine is created it will be a fake country that will never be allowed to defend itself.
You need to wake up an realize how the world function. Might makes right. Unfortunately for Israel, it didn't wipe out the indigenous population. Thus, this is a hell they will deal with until the world order changes again. When it does, I wouldn't be surprised if there is a Jewish "Nakba".
In conclusion, there will never be a 2-state solution and it was never possible to begin with. No country will ever allow the creation of another power next door that has a massive population that was just expelled from their very own country. It's like a rapist giving a knife to his victim! Similarly, a person expelled will not simply forget they were expelled. This is just common sense.

A prime example is Jordan (or East Palestine as the Britist called it before Transjordan was established) where palestinians were isolated and refused citizenship, workpermits, land, education - anything needed to actually set up a new life. And thus being used as political pawns and kept in the refugee limbo by their muslim brothers. When Egypt ruled Gaza and Jordan ruled The West Bank 1948-67 neither established a Palestine for their fellow palestinian brothers.

@@davidslor7103 It seems that the Arab nations, and the Arabs that had lived in British Mandate Palestine ( they were not called Palestinians) were not so concerned about a Palestinian state till 1967 when Israel, in a defensive war took over Gaza from Egypt and the West Bank from Jordan. You hit it on the head when you said they were being used as pawns for the narrative that Israel was responsible for the plight of the Palestinians. They continue to be used as pawns because Hamas felt its citizens were expendable when they attacked on October 7th. The problem with this video is that it completely ignores the British Mandate period that began after World War I. The British declared a homeland for the Jews and facilitated immigration for Eastern European Jews into Palestine while simultaneously suppressing the rights of the existing population. This was basically an act of war unto itself and lasted for about 30 years. The Zionists considered themselves settlers and colonists, that's how they spoke of themselves in their own writings. So this conflict was going on long before 1948. Nation-building over the top of an existing population with the aid of the preeminent superpower of the era unsurprisingly created a huge amount of resentment in the region. The retribution against Jewish communities outside of Palestine in the years after 1948 was a direct result of the nation-building and ethnic cleansing within Palestine that started in 1917. The push-pull factors are complicated. Israel did not allow the refugees from the Nabka to return home after the war. This was deliberate by Israel and they did so knowing that this would likely precipitate Jewish refugees into Israel from Arab countries. What's more important today is not 1948 but 1967. Israel exists and is recognized by most countries but it has evolved into an apartheid state because of its brutal occupation of the West Bank.

    • @SafetySpooon
      @SafetySpooon Рік тому

That's not true, They actually stifled Jewish immigration to appease the local bigots! The reason the Zionists said "settlers" was because it has a different meaning in Hebrew than it does in English: it meant they were the owners of the land. Yes, the conflict was going on before 1948 - there were massacres of Jews *several times* BEFORE Israel was established, so saying "the establishment of Israel is to blame" is pretty much an *insanely stupid* lie. For you to pretend that European pogroms & the Holocaust were somehow related to "Palestinian colonialism" is even more insane. Oh, & you used the word 'apartheid". Yeah, strike three, FOAD.

    • @U311.61
      @U311.61 6 місяців тому

Because it belonged to the Ottoman Empire, and when there's a dissolution of empires, there is a redistribution of land. In the same way that it came to be their land-- the inverse happened. You think Arabs came out of a little vagina in the ground? Land is owned by nations, not by ethnicities or a particular race.

    • @Greatshadowfighter
      @Greatshadowfighter 6 місяців тому +15

The difference? First The natives didn’t claim the land anymore because they still live here in the US with full citizenship and all rights giving to them. The Jews didn’t just claim to be there for 3000y but they are actually stating facts. Also, it weren’t them that attacked first. So keep in mind if you are the aggressor and loose you will always lose land. Be happy Israel is on the good side and didn’t do much worse things to "Palestine"

    • @timothykeith1367

The natives had no legal claim and the U.S. government made no attempt to give it to them. The persons with the interest in the landare expected to assert a legal claim, it is not a passive right.
English Common Law has a doctrine of averse possession. Most native tribes were nomadic and did not meet the legal doctrine of occupying the land. Some settlers could have attempted to educate tribes about legal right - I don't know if that ever happened - whether lawyers were hired. Even today, our rights as Americans are not passive - which creates a culture where lawyers thrive.
Jews have continuously lived in Israel for 3,500 years. Many Jews who ended up in Israel are ironically middle eastern Jews who were expelled from Islamic nations which were protesting the creation of the state of Israel in 1848.
After the Holocaust and destruction of Europe, Jews could not go to Europe and they were too poor to immigrate to the U.S. - which at the time had a restrictive immigration policy. Israel accepted the middle eastern Jewish immigrants with only the clothes on their backs, as Israel still does to dispossed Jews. Later many badly treated Soviet Jews emigrated to Israel from Russian and other Soviet states.
The Holocaust narrative is now almost as if its from the Hebrew Bible - Jews are willing to risk the condemnation of other nations to never be helpless like they were in the Warsaw ghetto.
Many Arabs also claim an ancient home in Israel, and other Arabs are migrants

Most of Israelis who came before 1948 were socialists who wanted to share land and create peace, not expel anyone, and also Mizrahis who fled arab coutries due to being ethnically cleansed (you did mention the latter) 2. The socialists mostly BOUGHT land, but in a few cases the arab landlords kicked out tenant peasants before handing the land over to the socialists. 3. Some arabs fled because of Deir Yassin, which was a massacre of mostly innocent arabs by a small minority of RIGHT WING Jews. The arab media inflamed that story (it was horrible enough as it was) and put the fear of the "massacring Jews" into the hearts of many arabs, who fled.

There's new information on Deir Yassin, explaining that a bunch of artillery was brought into that village from Egypt days (I think 5 ) before. The Israelis found out, and that's a clear sign of a planned threat, they took hold of the area. I believe around half of them fled, and half took up their arms, mostly men, young and old, leaving the Irgun no choice but to fight and take them out. It seems it was a threat into battle, rather than a "massacre". Any policing group would have no choice but to respond in such a manner.

      1. most israelis who came were disgusting settlers who wanted to create a jewish state without Palestinians, that's the core of Zionism. Sure, Arab jews who were kicked out of the ME was cruel and disgusting, but why do Palestinians have to pay the price for it? The fact Mizrahi jews are from the M.E. DOES NOT make them indigenous to Palestine, that's like saying that me as a French I am indigenous to Poland just cause I am European and Catholic. Why would Palestinians need to share the land with colonizers?
      2. Never heard of the sursock purchase?
      3. They were not a minority dear and you can see that in the IDF today, even the Haganah, the most leftist militia expelled dozens of villages
Indienous identity is not based in "My ancestors lived here 2,000 ago so i am indigenous" or "God gave us this land so its ours", using religion to claim a piece of land is ignorant and ridiculous, notice how Palestinians use their canaanite ancestry, culture and identity to claim indigenous character, while Israelis say "well it says it in the torah", i can't take that claim as valid since its said in a magic book that was written BY JEWS.
Ashkenazi Jews that arrived in Palestine were white, culturally European, dressed as europeans, spoke European languages like Yiddish and Polish, with blue eyes, do you really want me to believe they are indigenous to Palestine? Culture plays a huge role in indigenous character just as genetics.
Also, you forgot to add to your socialist utopia: Kibbutzim normally excluded Arab labor and took their lands, this is pretty well documented.
Y'all try SO HARD to be middle eastern that you started appropiating Arab food, sure Mizrahis have all the right to eat it, but let me remind you that the current wing of Zionism is EUROPEAN. Y'all love to call it "Israeli salad" yet it was appropriated from Palestinians in the Galilee.
Of course Arab countries need to welcome back their Arab Jews and fight against Anti-semitism and accept that they took part in ethnic cleansing of many of them. But a huge part of them also went to Israel thanks to Zionist propaganda, Zionism CRUSHED the middle east and its unity, sure anti semitism existed and Jews were not equal to Muslims, but they had a better life in arab countries than in Europe, Zionism played a huge role in why anti semitism increased in the M.E.
Israel is a colonial entity that needs to be erased from the map, the land should be returned to the indigenous Palestinians.
While the governments of the world (including mine) are Zionist, these months have shown that humanity is with Palestine, and the IDF has been UNSUCCESFUL to destroy Hamas, the fact that on October 7th they humiliated you shows that Israel is not indestructible.
Y'all weaponize the Holocaust so much yet y'all are doing the same, zionists wonder "uhh why are Palestinians so anti semitic" oh well, maybe because y'all have colonized, bombed, killed and expelled for the past 75 years.
No, a 2 state solution is not viable, why do Palestinians have to agree to live with the flag that has killed them for generations?
You really want me to feel bad about the people who think that Arabs are less intelligent, and that call Palestinians "human animals" and constaly show their racism.
PD: Reminder the IDF killed 3 hostages, and the hostages that have been liberated looked like they took a trip to the maldives, while Palestinian hostages showed clear signs of torture.

@@MattHazeMusic It is not clear how many took arms, because most of the village was supposed to be pacifists. The massacre was inexcusable (there were no human shields at the time, and the Irgunists went berserk, killing some obviously innocent people in cold blood), motivated by primal outgroup hatred. And this is mostly the domain of rightists like the Irgun and the Bibi coalition (a sociological fact, read Avi Tuschman for example). Anyway, my main point is that Deir Yassin was an exception to how arabs were treated, and it made sense that socialists would not steal land, so if any land was stolen, it was due to a very small rightist minority before 48, and after due to arabs who wanted to kill Jews and had to be expelled out of survival for the Jews. Totally different than what happened in South Africa or the US.

While it is true that the British promised through the Balfour Declaration of 1917 a state for the Jews that included Transjordan, the truth is that they first promised the Muslims a state composed of all the territories inhabited by them, including Transjordan and also Cisjordan (the West Bank), which were inhabited by a vast majority of Muslims. So, basically, the Balfour Declaration is mostly legally void, since it came after the promise made to the Muslims. I say mostly because the Balfour Declaration did establish a right for the Jews to have a state, but only in the territories inhabited by the Jews, which obviously excludes Transjordan and Cisjordan. Of course that this state for the Muslims was never realized as one state, but as many, and the British government signed the Covenant of the League of Nations, that specified that the territories conquered from the Ottoman, German and the Austro-Hungarian Empires were granted the right to become independent. In the case of the Middle East, the states that exist today are based on the administrative divisions of the Ottoman Empire.
The Iudaea-Palaestina region (later partitioned as Israel and Palestine) is based on the Jerusalem Mutasarrifate, Lebanon on the Lebanon Mutasarrifate, Syria on the Damascus Vilayet, Iraq on the Baghdad Vilayet, Jordan on the Karak Sanjak, and Kuwait on the Autonomous Kaza of Kuwait. There were other administrative divisions, but those ceased to exist when divided and absorbed, for example, the Beirut Vilayet, which was divided between the British and the French, was separated in northern, central and southern parts, the French northern part being absorbed into the Damascus Vilayet, the central into the Lebanon Mutasarrifate, and the British southern part into the Jerusalem Mutasarrifate. The Aleppo Vilayet was also divided between the Turks and the French and its southern part was absorbed into the Damascus Vilayet. The Basra Vilayet and the Deir ez-Zor Sanjak voluntarily chose to form part of the Baghdad Vilayet and the Damascus Vilayet respectively. The only ex-Ottoman administrative division that is still controversial today is the Mosul Vilayet, that could have become a state for the Kurds, but was instead merged with the Baghdad Vilayet, modern Iraq.
As I explained, Transjordan, modern Jordan, was not only inhabited by a vast majority of Muslims, but it was also given the right to become independent, since it was the Karak Sanjak, one of the Ottoman administrative divisions conquered by the British. The Iudaea-Palaestina region, which was the Jerusalem Mutasarrifate, another Ottoman administrative division, which included the southern Beirut Vilayet, was partitioned between the Jews and Muslims, respecting the prior promises and trying to avoid the conflict between both, as they did in the British Raj (India and Pakistan).

@atollking201 I was referring to the 1921 Cairo agreement and subsequent 1922 border drawings, not the BalfurDeclaration...
Even in The Balfur Declaration's Zionist interpretation (shown in the Cairo agreement), they did not claim all of transjorden only a small part of what is now Jorden (about ~7%) I have no idea where you brought the idea of the all of transjorden thing, but the balfur declaration did not state anything about population if I remember correctly so do tell me what interpretation you are referring to (send a link pls I really want to read more about the Balfur Declaration, because I only read the Zionist, king Abdullah and the PLO's interpretations) am referring mostly to the goal of the mandate made by the league of nations to create two states (a jewish state and an Arab state) in the borders of the mandate for Palestine as it was drawn including what is now Jorden
I do have one question because the territory of what is now Israel was divided in itself to four Sanjaks during Ottoman rule, so I found the last paragraph you wrote a bit odd, can you explain a bit more so I can understand your statement better?

    • @atollking201

@@roeesadan8862 The Cairo Conference of 1921 does not change much what I am saying. The Zionists interpreted that the Balfour Declaration included Transjordan within Palestine and the Cairo Conference does the same. This inclusion is equally invalid, simply because there were previous promises that needed to be respected. I do not care either about the Zionist interpretation of the 7% of Transjordan. Transjordan was not inhabited by a Jewish majority, so why would anyone give even 1% to the Jews?
I did not say that the Balfour Declaration mentions population, that is something that you said. The point is that the Muslims were promised a state in the territories inhabited by them and the Jews were promised afterwards a state too in the Iudaea-Palaestina region, but this promise is necessarily bound to respect the previous promise, which means that we should interpret these documents as establishing a state for the Jews only where Jews live, otherwise, territories that were mostly Arab would be included in the state for the Jews obviously, breaking the promise.
You said that it was the first partition. No, both territories were separate as the Jerusalem Mutasarrifate and the Karak Sanjak during Ottoman administration. They were just put together by the British for administrative purposes, in fact, the League of Nations considered them different from the start, both had the right to become independent as two states. Even if the British or the League of Nations had actually merged both territories, then the merging is legally invalid because of the promises done before. As I said.
As for my last paragraph, I do not understand your confusion. Maybe you are trying to argue that, since the Jerusalem Mutasarrifate was composed of sanjaks, why didn't they have the right to become independent themselves as the Karak Sanjak was? I guess that that is the argument, but it is fallacious. You see, the Ottoman Empire was divided in mutasarrifates, vilayets, autonomous kaza and autonomous sanjaks. The right of independence guaranteed by the League of Nations applied only to the first level of administrative divisions, in other words, there were sanjaks that were second level, like the ones that composed the Jerusalem Mutasarrifate and the absorbed southern Beirut Vilayet, but there were first level administration sanjaks, like the Karak Sanjak, that is why it was listed as a separate mandate that had a separate right to become independent, even though administered by the British as one for administrative purposes.

What about the Jews refugees from other Arabs countries (that happened a cleansing ethnics targeted to Christians, Jews and numerous minorities) that made up more than half Israel's population? Yes, the land wasn't empty, there were Jews who lived there thousands of years, there were Christians live there since the beginning of Christianity, there were Arabs Muslims lived there from century 7 BC, there were Arabs from Egypt, Jordan, Syria,... migrated there in 1920s (bc at that time, British ruled all, there was no border and nation like nowadays), and there were Jews migrated there from 1800s before the Zionism,...... The land was not empty, the Jews before 1947 was not less than 10% (Al Jazeera said it's 11%), most land Jews received from UN are desert. Why there's a need of a new nation? 1, Jews in Midle East were in genocide, they need a land to settle down, and there's no more land appropriate than Judea. 2, It's my opinion, the Christianity in the Middle East was in alarming situation, it was nearly wiped out of the land it came from, the same goes with Jews, do they not deserve have a place for their religion? 3, Does Midle East have enough dictatorship government? I want to believe there's no bad intentions behind this video. However, I can't help but notice there is a great deal of bias and invisibilization of palestinian suffering. Since the video is titled "Did Israel expel Palestinian Arabs?" wouldn't the testimony of a palestinian who actually lived through Nakba be much more iluminating than the testimony of a 20-something-year-old israeli who grew up inside a country with a terrible record of unbiased education and press?? (If you're curious to what I mean just look at the recent Netanyahu corruption charges and his meddling with press and how state sponsored education inside the country and occupied territories follows very clear ideological narratives) You could have contrasted a palestinian testimony with a jewish testimony and it would have being much more productive. You are not gonna resolve the debate in one 7 minute video. However, it would go a long way if you broke out of the regular western narrative that excludes arab experiences. Controversy isn't necesseraly bad, specially when it's done in good faith. This are dificult and sensitive issues for both sides, so it's good that the dialogue is complex, otherwise you are left with the mainstream (in western media) assumption that arabs and palestinias are just inherently violent and crazy. If you put such a title in this video, don't make the mistake of reinforcing israeli bias.

Lo and behold, I have relatives with Palestinian, Lebanese, Jordanian and Syrian citizenship. We are one people. It is only for political reasons that we carefully endorse our Palestinian identity. Sorry but it all started way before you suggest. The international community took the land off Turkey (it was part of the Turkish Ottoman Empire) because the Turks had supported Germany in WW1. In 1922 the League of Nations (precursor to the UN) ordered the British, by a directive known as the British Mandate, to create a Jewish state in that area of the Ottoman Empire known as Palestine (It has never been a country). The British realised that this was going to be difficult and so used a technical loophole, in their Mandate, to use the majority of the Palestinian land to create an Arab state called Jordan. The international community realised that the British had to leave the Mandate land (the remaining small portion of the Palestine area) in 1948. The UN, which had taken over responsibility for the affairs of the League of Nations, and, in 1947, proposed a two state solution which was rejected by the Arab parties. The British left, Israel was created and the Arab League of five nations (including Jordan) decided to invade the new state of Israel. The Arab league wanted to avoid killing Arab civilians and so recommended that the Arab civilians abandon their land and head south until the end of the war. The hostilities ceased with cease fire lines around Gaza and the West Bank.

The Palestinians should have been allowed back. Not all who were pushed out had violent tendencies. This is like saying all the rioters during the pandemic were the result of an entire people. War is chaotic but to not allow the citizens of their land back to their homes is wrong. But I can also understand that the situation isn’t entirely simple and straight forward. Perhaps if the Palestinian citizens came back where their land now occupied by Israeli military, some would have been hostile towards the Israelis and create ground militias in opposition to the Israeli troops occupying their land. The strategy to hold on to the land by keeping out any possible threat is equivalent to throwing out the baby with the bath water. Many land natives were probably secular and didn’t have any particular religious agenda or affiliation to some racial pan-Arab plan. Most probably just wanted to coexist and live in peace, but mostly they just wanted to keep their homes.

Palestinians have a history of antisemitism since 1926, in which the entire Jewish population of the city of Hebron was erased by Arab mobs over a fake rumor that the Jews were planning to seize some historical site. Only British military intervention brought it to an end, though too late.
Palestine not only was a lesser-known Axis power and Arab ally to Nazi Germany, but also a collaborator and co-conspirator in Hitler’s Holocaust. The grand mufti of Palestine spun up a PR campaign recruiting Bosnian Muslims into the Waffen SS, the armed forces of the infamous German military branch known for extensive war crimes, as part of their combined anti-Jewish efforts. Many of these Bosnian Muslims were paroled to go home by Allied forces when they pinned the blame for their actions on “orders forced upon them by evil white Germans”; instead of going home, they went to Palestine to become trainers for its Arab League coalition fighters in terror tactics and combat training specifically aimed against Jews.
When Zionists settlers started coming, those Arabs weren’t waiting to expel them. They were planning to exterminate the Holocaust survivors.

One day after the Jewish people were given the land in 1947, 5 surrounding Arab states attacked them, instead of attacking the British specifically for breaking their promise of land to the Palestinians which was a ruse for them to fight for the British, which was also a lie that they fed to the French as well, so using the argument of "Arabs helped fight for the land and didn't get any!" as your argument means that you'd also have to think that the French are also entitled to a portion of the land.

While it is understandable that Jewish refugees needed to relocate, one cannot expect a country to have half of its land taken from it and stay silent. The arab attacks were completely understandable, and should have been accounted for given that half of Palestine was given to the Jews. Secondly, I do not think that the expulsion of or crimes against the Jews living in arab countries is justified by any means. However, crimes were committed on both sides. Israel continued to take more land from Palestine after the agreement, something that is not mentioned in the video. There are also countless UN violations and crimes being committed against Palestinians today. The Palestinian territories are being converted into Jewish neighborhoods, and Jews are persuaded to move into these homes. Both sides have reasons to blame the opposing side for being unjust. However, we cannot deny that what happened and is happening to Palestine is unjust and inhumane.

But Palestine has roots all of the way back to antiquity. Jewish people stated immigrating there in droves over the next two decades. Their population increased by 7 fold until there were over 500,000 Jewish people in Palestine. This was deliberate. They wanted a Jewish state and they wanted from Palestine’s land. The Muslim population was over 1 million at this time with over 100,000 Palestinian Christians. The UN adopted a TWO STATE SOLUTION in 1947 where the State of Israel would be given land from Palestine. Israel established itself a country and any Jewish person could immigrate to Israel and become an Israeli citizen. Palestine rejected this and a war was fought. Israel won and then took lands that were not part of the UN deal and were against international law. They expelled 700,000 Palestinians from their homeland. Israel has rejected a two-state solution ever since which was THE DEAL for them getting a country in the first place. They took Jerusalem and most of the West Bank. Later they took the Golan Heights, also against international law. And since Israel is backed by the US and has a very advanced military(with US help) and nuclear weapons(also with US help), the Palestinians can’t do much to get their land back. Jerusalem was supposed to be under international control under the two state solution. But both Palestine and Israel declare it their capital. They both have deep historical and religious ties to the land. The Israelis essentially run an apartheid state at the moment. Gaza is a place that is blockaded by land, sea, and air. If any other country blockaded another country’s land, airspace, and coast, it would be considered an act of war. Till this day, Israeli settlers take Palestinian land and homes in the West Bank. not to mention that the ottoman empire controlled the land, and they were very open to the migration of jewish people, so whether or not the locals cared didn't matter!
also can't forget that the jewish community in israel has been around since they were exiled by the roman empire - it was just a much much smaller community, who had to be complicit with the roman rule, and the rule of those who came after.
It's also funny that the creation of israel justifies racism and ethnic cleansing towards jews?¿ like damn if it wasn't for the jewish people finding sovereignty in the only place it makes sense for them to, we wouldn't of expelled them from our land or massacred them, even though these jews have absolutely nothing to do with the creation of israel.
Palestine was a successful colonialist project, and the palestinian people were complicit with the ottoman empires goals to colonize land that isn't theirs! That all ended when the jews rightfully returned to the land that was theirs, being even more forgiving than the occupational governments that came before them toward a group of people (palestinians) who only play nice if the jews are submissive.

Fom the Refugee Conference at Homs, Syria:
Any discussion aimed at a solution of the Palestine problem which will not be based on ensuring the refugees’ right to annihilate Israel will be regarded as a desecration of the Arab people and an act of treason (Beirut al Massa, July 15, 1957).

Thank you for using the correct term: “Palestinian Arabs’ and not just “Palestinians”. There were many Jewish people who lived in that area prior to 1948 so it’s imperative to distinguish between them.

@@j-manmarkus7591 Considering the vast networks of Israeli spies within Arab societies it was undoubtedly at the very least somewhat Israel's fault. Israel would even collaborate with literal Nazis against Arab countries using Egyptian, Iraqi, and Syrian Jews as spies. Of course mistrust is going to come as a result of such matters. Full expulsion was not beneficial toward the Arab countries but it was definitely for Israel, it was clear Israel completed a goal it was aiming for.

It's also painfully true that the Arabs in the holy land before Israel were actually siding with the Nazis to murder Jews. Look up the grand mufti of jerusalem Hussein. He was a friend of Hitler's and help raised Muslim Nazi battalion for him and start a Holocaust in Israel. Sickening. Nice try buy no cigar.

They were not called Jews, the word Jew is a new term. The Torah/Bible called the children of the Most High Hebrews or Israelites. The letter “J” is only 400 to 500 years old. Both I and J were used interchangeably by scribes to express the sound of both the vowel and the consonant. It wasn’t until 1524 when Gian Giorgio Trissino, an Italian Renaissance grammarian known as the father of the letter J, made a clear distinction between the two sounds. It is so hard to get the truth from the deceivers. Who controls the truth on the earth?
“who teacheth us more than the beasts of the earth, and maketh us wiser than the fowls of heaven? There they cry, but none giveth answer, because of the pride of evil men. Surely God will not hear vanity, neither will the Almighty regard it.”
    ‭‭Job‬ ‭35‬:‭11‬-‭13‬ ‭KJVAAE‬‬
“For the Lord is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods. For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the Lord made the heavens.”
    ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭96‬:‭4‬-‭5‬ ‭KJVAAE‬‬
All religions are pagan both wood and stone.

The problem is Isnotreal did not allow them to come back ignoring the UN law (Palestinian have the right to return), while any American or Eropean Jew has the right to get Isnotrealy citizenship on the spot due to their religion.
