It's insane how many pro palestinian protesters there are. Since you are an Israeli, may I ask you, is this a terror attack on the west, or just a result of anti-semitism in the West? Why are black people, who we have stood shoulder to shoulder with in desiring equal rights, becoming anti-semitic in large numbers? Are they being targeted by islamist associations because of their poverty, ignorance, and feelings of being oppressed in America? I mean, it's not like black people were ever arab. Maybe my dad's distant long ago relatives were arab. I don't know. Are they organized by the west to show that they are split in a way to sneakily be for Israel while also supporting Arabs? If so, why? What skin is there in supporting arabs?
As an European Christian I really like the information you give on your channel. So many lies get debunked. I listen to both sides and I think the two state is the only solution if... The Palestinian Arabs choose to do coexist... But I don't see that happen. It could have happened for the sake of peace and a prosperous future for the children, but got rejected time and time again. Personally I believe the land is holy land that belongs to the Jews and not politics decide what happens, but God. I always love Isaiah 66. The church rejected the Jews for ages, which is a shame and a very sad history. I always point out that Israel is our 'big brother' and God's plan with Israel will happen. When WW2 happened all Christians in the area said that the Messiah would come quickly. My great grandfather pointed out that that would not happen yet, because the Jews would go back to their land. People laughed at him, but years later they saw it becoming fullfilled, like it is said in Isaiah 66. Greetings and God bless you and Israel.
I have a blocker, maybe that's why I didn't have to watch that. So Google is antisemitic, huh Only one thing more in the list of the garbage that Google is.
We are in the middle, of the dawn... Of a new era. The farther we go into the future, the further evil gets left in the past. Evil, (and all its lies and trickery), doesn't want to be left behind us. Alone without us... it most certainly doesn't have God. (We human beings, with our flaws/the ability to be lied to, were the only thing keeping evil in this world)
I've followed this conflict since the early 2000s and can confirm that I have seen most of what you said documented, especially when reviewing Ottoman history and the records of the British Mandate. Please keep up the good work and keep the videos coming.
Our enemies called us terrorists ... People who were neither our friends nor our enemies ... also used this Latin name ... And yet, we were not terrorists ... The historical and linguistic origins of the political term "terror" prove that it cannot be applied to a revolutionary war ofliberation ... Fighters for freedom must arm; otherwise they would be crushed overnight ... What has a struggle for the dignity of man, against oppression and subjugation, to do with "terrorism"? One would automatically attribute this to an Islamic terrorist group and condemn it. However, the author of these words is none other than Menachem Begin in the years when the Haganah was fighting the British forces in Palestine. It is interesting to note how, in those years of the Jewish struggle against the British military in Palestine, the very term "terrorist" had a positive connotation. Here's another mental experiment: imagine reading in contemporary newspapers an open letter headed "Letter to the Terrorists of Palestine," containing these sentences: My Brave Friends. You may not believe what I write you, for there is a lot of fertilizer in the air at the moment. But on my word as an old reporter, what I write is true. The Palestinians of America are for you. You are their champions. You are the grin they wear. You are the feather in their hats. You are the first answer that makes sense-to the New World. Every time you blow up an Israeli arsenal, or wreck an Israeli jail, or send an Israeli railroad sky high, or rob an Israeli bank, or let go with your guns and bombs at the Israeli betrayers and invaders of your homeland, the Palestinians of America make a little holiday in their hearts. A very similar open letter was indeed published in the late 1940s in American newspapers. It was written by none other than Ben Hecht, the celebrated Hollywood scriptwriter. All I have done is to replace the word "Jews" with "Palestinians" and "British" with "Israeli." It is almost attractive to see the first-generation Israeli leaders openly confessing the fact that their claims to the land of Palestine cannot be grounded in universal justice, that we are dealing with a simple war of conquest between two groups between whom no mediation is possible. What were the long-term effects of the Haavara Agreement on Jewish immigration policies between Nazi Germany and the Zionist movement? The Haavara Agreement, signed in 1933 between Nazi Germany and the Zionist movement, facilitated the emigration of around 60,000 German Jews to Palestine between 1933 and 1939. However, it did not have significant long-term effects on Jewish immigration policies: •The agreement was controversial and criticized by some Zionists, non-Zionist Jews, members of the Nazi Party, and the German public. •The agreement enabled Jews to retain some of their assets when emigrating, but most Jewish emigrants still had to surrender most of their property before leaving Germany. The agreement was a pragmatic deal that temporarily aligned the interests of the Zionist movement and Nazi Germany
@@mohammedzbeidi6638 You and the video above fail to discuss one of the most important facts of the Arab-Israeli crisis. From the late 1800s to the early 1900s, Jewish individuals and organizations purchased land from absentee Arab landowners who no longer wanted useless land that was uninhabitable or unworkable at the time. Another reason why the UN partitioned the land the way they did was because Jews legally owned much of that land pre-1948. Interesting, huh?
It's important to hear directly from some former Israeli IDF soldiers themselves, about what it is they do to Palestinian people ua-cam.com/video/37MFa7ZKQWo/v-deo.html
Never seen attitude of Israel to conquer "historically our" land. They always were ok with status quo, as long as neighbours don't wage war. They also never waged war first. They developed by themselves, and built better standards of living, rather than focusing on their neighbours. Arguments like "Gaza is prison" are ridiculous, and have nothing to do with Israel. Blaming other people for your failures and waging war because of it is enough for me to pick side.
My wife, an Assyrian-Persian from Iran, always says the same things you shared. I think if anyone curious enough as my wife is, they will come to the same conclusion as you shared with us. Thank you.

Todah achi from Canada, keep up the great work. Such an amazing resource for me to share with people that are curious, on the fence or simply don't know what to think regarding what they're seeing and hearing. Keep it up.
Not every progressive thinks that way, some of us actually learn history. You’ve done a great job here just laying out facts without emotional attachment. In the end emotions fade but the facts remain.
Knowing liberals, they love to jump to the defense of a supposed victim. Look how gullible they are when it comes to false accusations without really wanting evidence or even digging deeper or even care to following up on a story. They hear Palestinians are being bullied by the bigger Israel, they hear "free Palestine" and "genocide", but if you dig even a little bit it's very apparent Palestinians are the ones who wish for genocide.
A few seconds into the Vox video, I became infuriated. I'm not Jewish, but I know enough of the actual historical facts to realizes Vox is now peddling propaganda. One side, Israel presents history with all its blemishes, that is all facts even if they are incriminating, and the other side distorts, obfuscates, and lies. I stand with facts. I stand with historiographic and epistemic honesty and humility. I stand with Israel!
What propaganda man? At 1850 there were 20000 Jews and 300000 non Jews in Palestine , the jewish immigrants that came after 1900 declared their own state and demanded 55% of the land from the natives over 700000 Palestinians were removed during Nakba. Imagine if your people go to Germany and after 40 years they become like 1/3 and demand 55% of the land .The natives were offered a deal he says i say lol. Its clearly conquest Note that he says there was no Palestinians before 1900 yet the name was different but the people were there and from what we know the region was never jewish since ancient times, Jews were guests there as well Jews didnt build Jerusalem , the land was Cretominoan ,Canaanite, Philistine, Jews were just another conquerors ,the land Jesus was born was pagan 100 years before and they forced Judaism there in fact Greece would have much more right to claim the land based on ancestry and create a third Greek state than the Jews have , they were much older there and had it far longer , so the land was never solely Jews in the ancient times they always shared it with others who were natives and as for who is native now google says that both Palestinians and Jews have DNA from the Canaanites
I am Swiss, born in 1958. I was not familiar with that story you tell. However, even here in remote Switzerland, we experienced criminal acts carried out by Palestinian terrorists. I remember the shooting at an El Al plane at the airport in Zurich, as well as the hijacking of a Swissair plane, and the destruction of that plane in Jordan. I also remember the killing of 47 completely uninvolved people in a Swissair plane crashing near Zurich after the explosion of a PLO bomb. And I do remember the horrible PLO attack against Israels participants at the Olympic games in Munich, Germany. And up to this day I cannot understand how Arafat could become rewarded with the Nobel prize for peace for his horrendous crimes.
I'm an American and remember lots of terror attacks. However what I figured out at a young age is these attacks didn't happen because we eat apple pie and watch baseball. Do you think all that terrible stuff happened because you eat Toblerone and go Alpine Skiing?
They gave a peace nobel price to obbama that bombed the most out of all president and not to trump that DIDN'T start a war (highly unsual for USA president) and actually made peace plan possible like the Abrahams accords
As a muslim I also grew up revering Arafat. But as I started to think for myself and read more about the conflict I really started to detest him. The worst was when he died and it came out that all the money that was meant for the Palestinians went to his personal bank account.

My family is from Haifa. My father has always told me the same stories. One in particular. On the day of decleration of independence, trucks of the Jewish leadership of the city went through Arab neighborhoods, urging them to stay and live in peace. My grandma served in the Haganah in Jerusalem in the 1940s into the war of independence as a medic. There is no one that experienced pre-Israel Jerusalem like her. She knows every street corner, every curve and every turn in the old city. She also lived as a kid in the 1930s in petah tikva. She says: Arab attitude towards Jews was ALWAYS violent and Jews never felt safe, especially in jerusalem. This whole myth that violence started suddenly after 1948 and that Arabs are so peaceful, it’s a complete and total fabrication.
My grandma is an Iraqi jew and it's the same story there, again, way before the state of Israel was established. She was abducted twice, thrown off her own roof, and almost rap*d by a Muslim mob that specifically targeted jewish girl schools. She and her sister were saved by their own father, who was gravely injured and blinded for life. They were forced to leave all their belongings in Iraq and flee to Israel, where they lives in refuge camp's tents for ten years. Again, not something that is ever taught.
I will say it’s not 1940 anymore …and in the modern world we see Palestinians live in a concentration camp and have to endure constant bombardment and can’t leave because of Jim Crow laws.
The Institute for Palestine Studies, an Arab organization based in Beirut stated, *68% of Arabs left their villages without ever seeing a Jewish man with a gun or a soldier* Search, *_"How we really became refugees, 13 Palestinians tell their personal stories"_* Mamoud Abbas and 12 others from all over Israel, tell the truth about why and how they left the villages and houses and it wasn't because of the Jews.
The problem is however they weren't allowed to return home after the war, when they came back settlers had moved into their houses. It's not nice fleeing an area when a war breaks out, and then after the war ends when you return to your home someone else is living there.
They were allowed "home." Name any villages where people were forbidden for returning. The majority of those 68% were immigrants from neighboring countries (the majority of the population of both Israel and Palestine is consisted of immigrant families who moved because they were promised economic opportunities by the British), so most of them were just going back to where they lived a few decades ago. It'd be as if Jews moved to Israel, then went back to Europe when the war started, and decided to stay -- that's not being kicked out.@@randomhuman2595

As a Russian, I support Israeli struggle against Hamas. I found myself in situation similar in a lot of ways to Palestinians in February last year. I was locked in a country that is ruled by criminal regime, with extremely powerful propaganda, with the entire world hating us etc. And even though I might not agree with everything that west and Ukraine are doing, I can still think for myself and realize that Russia is at fault here. And neither I, nor any thinking person in Russia complain about Ukraine bombing Russian cities in retaliation to aggression. And I wouldn’t complain if the US came and bombed Moscow in order to overthrow Putin’s regime. Of course, a lot of people in Russia think otherwise and prefer to trust propaganda instead of common sense but it’s their choice, they are not victims of circumstance, they choose not to think because it’s easier. You cannot present sheer human stupidity and intellectual laziness as “the other side of the story”. My heart goes to those people in Palestine who realize that Hamas are criminals, who condemn their actions and either actively or passively resist them. Hope Israel frees Gaza!
"thinking person" Thinking person means people brainwashed by Western propaganda? "And I wouldn’t complain if the US came and bombed Moscow in order to overthrow Putin’s regime." Thank you for this , you really make me think about the innocent people caught up in these wars. Being Bulgarian myself I can thoroughly sympathise with the position of Russian people like yourself stuck in Russia.

ua-cam.com/video/rGVgjS98OsU/v-deo.html 4':36 the Jewish population [to Palestine] more than doubled. The migration helped the Zionist movement gain steam. And a slogan took off. “A land without people for, a people without land.” And it sends a message to Western leaders... that the people who had been living in Palestine for generations... could just be easily moved elsewhere. The idea was that those inhabitants weren't a people with ties to that land. Palestine was, of course, a land with a people. In 1931, there were more than 850,000 Palestinian Arabs in the region, still the vast majority. But with the rise of Hitler and the Nazi Party in particular... “Hate became a rallying call.” Jewish flight from Europe became even more urgent. And Palestine started to see the biggest wave of Jewish emigration yet.
I'm in the UK and have been shocked by two things - firstly, the utterly despicable terrorist attacks on Israel, and, secondly, the almost immediate cheering by pro-Palestinians. about the blank: what was the havara agreement aimed at? The Haavara Agreement was a 1933 deal between the Zionist movement, the German government, and the Anglo-Palestine Bank that aimed to facilitate the emigration of German Jews to Palestine. The key points are: •Under the agreement, German Jews had to surrender their possessions before leaving Germany, and the proceeds were used to purchase German goods for sale in Palestine. The emigrants would then receive the proceeds in Palestinian currency upon arrival. •However, the agreement did not imply that the Nazis were Zionists or shared the goal of establishing a Jewish state in Palestine. The Nazis' primary aim was to remove Jews from Germany, not to support Zionism.

This guy is lying through his teeth. I'm not even 4 minutes into the video and almost everything he said is a very sly twisting of the narrative and all kinds of tricks and even pure lying. Go at least read the Deir Yassin Wikipedia page for yourself to see how much this dude is lying. For starters, I'll refute 2 points he made about Deir Yassin: 1) "the casualties were low". They were between 18% (the lowest estimate by pro-Israeli sources) and 41% (the highest estimate by pro-palestinian sources) of the population in the event. 2) "they talk about Deir Yassin because there is no other examples, it's like saying Deir Yassin, etc etc, when you have nothing else to say". No, the reason everyone mentions Deir Yassin is because it was THE START of the nakba and because it was absolutely heinous act, where Israeli military unit attacked a village near Jerusalem which specifically was in peace with Jews, they had peace agreements with them, they had no intention of fighting vs Jews, and they had no militants or anyone to defend them, and also because the plan for the attack on Deir Yassin wasn't simply "taking over power centers/buildings and occupying it", but instead "forcing all people out of the village, and if anyone refused, whether women or old people or children, doesn't matter, then kill those". So yeah, it was a pure ethnic cleansing and terror attack on specifically a village who had friendly relations to jews. The whole village (600 people) were either killed (107-250 of them) or kicked out of the village. There are disagreements whether there was also raping in Deir Yassin, but even without it it was absolutely the most heinous act and also there WERE raping overall in the nakba, even IF it didn't happen in Deir Yassin.
This was great! I watched the Vox video and luckily I am educated enough to have seen through most of their propaganda, but it's so important to continually reaffirm the truth. It's so easy to get it twisted. Shame on Ezra Klein.

I'm not sure that's really happening on a massive scale, at least not with Vox. Western media is still overwhelmingly lenient to Israel, but I would say luckily an increasing amount of people can see through that and realize Israel isn't as innocent as the sugarcoated Western narrative makes it out to be. Really the truth is always more complex than any media outlet paints it as.
I have blocked all media with a pi-hole and WireGuard tunnel. That world does not exist to me. And neither does the truth. I can find plenty of great scholars who present the case for Palestinians. I can find plenty for the case of Israel. And many who fit in between. This is not a problem of "media".
just imagine that until 1965 they didn't even have an anthem. The overwhelming majority didn't even recognize itself as Palestinians. Palestinian nationalism only sparked after the 6 day war when they realized they are David now in the David vs Goliath story
there's an interview with Golda Meir from 1967 where she was asked about the Palestinian people's right to have the entire region of 'Palestine', her answer was: "I'm a Palestinian, from 1941 to 1948 I walked around with a Palestinian passport", issued to her by the British empire that ruled the region of 'Palestine', which was inhabited by arabs (for centuries) and jews (for millennia). so yeah, by that definition, I, an Israeli jew, am also a 'Palestinian'. the difference is that jews actually have an ancient identity so we don't need to identify ourselves using arbitrary regional names assigned by an empire that conquered our region at some random point in history.
That would be the same as someone in Austria saying: 'at some point in time bohemia (part of the czech rep.) was part of my country, so we are entitled to that land'.....
Zuheir Mohsen of the PLO himself stated that there were "no differences between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians, and Lebanese", though Palestinian identity would be emphasised for political reasons. In a March 1977 interview with the Dutch newspaper Trouw he stated that "between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese there are no differences. We are all part of one people, the Arab nation [...] Just for political reasons we carefully underwrite our Palestinian identity. Because it is of national interest for the Arabs to advocate the existence of Palestinians to balance Zionism. Yes, the existence of a separate Palestinian identity exists only for tactical reasons"
Oren, Shalom and kudos for revealing the little known fact about the Nazi Palestinian pact in ww2. I knew about it from a short article in the Jerusalem Post long ago, I think an excerpt from a book. This evil alliance needs to be known for everyone's education. I look forward to your video on it.

Oren, I cannot begin to tell you how important it is what you are doing. Your training and experience as a tour guide has made it so that you can explain these parts of history in a way that is easy to understand, and with a calm demeanor that makes people listen. I have children who go to American universities, and I am sharing your videos with them and their friends to spread your lessons. The abhorrent lies are unfortunately becoming accepted facts, and too many young people don't know the truth. And it makes them either cower in silence and fear, or at worst, join the anti-Israel mobs. You realize he's arguing with things that he made up? He's playing a part of a video, then twists their words and then refutes those things that he made up himself, and then acts as if he refuted what was said in the video. He's openly lying and twisting thee narrative and nobody is even checking his wild claims. Go at least read the Deir Yassin wikipedia to see the truth. It was absolutely heinous act and it wasn't a single time, the reason why it's talked about is because it was the most inhuman act, attacking the peaceful population, who had a peace agreement with the Jewish forces, had no intention to participate in the any anti-jewish actions. Despite all those peace agreements, the Jewish military forced the whole village out and killing anyone who refused to leave, whether it's old folks or women or children. It was absolutely heinous plan that even some commanders in the Jewish military forces opposed it, and it was the start of nakba, that's why it's talked about the most. The reason why there were "so little casualties" is because it's a small village where only 600 people lived. Death estimates are 107-250. So it's between 18 to 40% of all residents killed.
It's important to hear directly from some former Israeli IDF soldiers themselves, about what it is they do to Palestinian people ua-cam.com/video/37MFa7ZKQWo/v-deo.html

I never thought I would want to make a UA-cam video, but when i watched the Vox video and how selectively it was presented I was starting to gather information to refute it on UA-cam. Thank you for obviating the need for me to do so.
When the 1948 War broke out, the Israeli government published a front page article in the local paper calling on the Arabs to stay & promising them equal rights as citizens. The fact is they left on their own for various reasons, some because they were scared & some because they were told to evacuate temporarily by he Arab leadership.
Just FYI, This guy is lying through his teeth.

To what he said in 7:54 / 25:07 there is no concrete evidence or proof "Atlas aimed at establishing an intelligence-gathering base in Mandatory Palestine, radioing information back to Germany, and recruiting and arming anti-British Palestinians by buying their support with gold." "Historian Wolfgang G. Schwanitz has cast doubts on the story: The claim that the mufti got "ten containers with poison" to kill a quarter of a million people via the water system of Tel Aviv in exchange for the five Palestinian paratroopers in late 1944 (61) is not substantiated in British or German sources. If the authors can now show really hard proof, this would be a discovery, since the British police report of 1944 on file is very detailed." "Historian Christian Destremau points out that the cargo contained no such quantities of toxic material, but only poison capsules, probably to be of service in attempts to liquidate locals believed to be collaborating with the Mandatory Authorities.[12] According to MI5 files, the parachutists brought three types of poison to Palestine: some suicide pills for themselves, six tubes of powder to put tracking dogs off their scent (they didn't realise this was poisonous and kept it with their food) and an envelope of "arseneous oxide". Regarding these latest, Wieland said that the mufti insisted it be brought for the purpose of eliminating Arab traitors but Latif denied it was the mufti's idea. The 400-page files do not mention any intention to poison population or enough quantities for such a plan." what was the havara agreement aimed at? its historical background? The Haavara Agreement was a 1933 deal between the Zionist movement, the German government, and the Anglo-Palestine Bank that aimed to facilitate the emigration of German Jews to Palestine. The key points are: •The agreement did not imply that the Nazis were Zionists or shared the goal of establishing a Jewish state in Palestine. The Nazis' primary aim was to remove Jews from Germany, not to support Zionism. •The Haavara Agreement marked the beginning of Nazi-organized Jewish relocation efforts, but these were driven by the Nazis' antisemitism and desire to "solve the Jewish question", not any support for Zionism. In summary, the Haavara Agreement was a pragmatic deal that temporarily aligned the interests of the Zionist movement and the Nazi government, but it did not reflect any shared ideology or goals between the two parties [at the expense of the local population composed of Palestinian Arans, Christians and local Jews+other minotities]

My dad's best friend fought at Deir Yassin as part of the Lehi. He was not above admitting to other acts of terror he had performed as part of that group - but always insisted that Deir Yassin was a battle, not a massacre. In fact, they warned the people of Deir Yassin to leave multiple times before the battle started. My dad, who was 5 years old and lived very close to the village, remembers hearing the trucks driving around and calling out with loudspeakers, for hours before the attack.
Definitely a battle. That town wasn’t neutral as claimed, it overlooked the TelAviv-Jerusalem road & some attacks against aid convoys on their way to relieve the besieged jews in Jerusalem came from Dayr Yassin. There were militants there from other Arab nations, like Iraq. The Israeli militias involved took casualties and 5 KIA’s. 5/6ths of the villagers took the loudspeaker warnings seriously and fled and the Israelis took 200 prisoners they later released. Never heard of a village massacre where most the population survived. But Palestinian authorities lied about Dayr Yassin so hard that they must maintain that lie, because the rumors were a driving force in sending thousands of arabs fleeing the region.
@@ShakaCthulu It was not only the Arabs lying about it. The Haganah had a vested interest in sabotaging both the Etzel and the Lehi - they parroted the narrative as hard as the Arabs did. Hi Goebels

Here's another mental experiment: imagine
reading in contemporary newspapers an open letter headed "Letter to the Terrorists of Palestine," containing these sentences: My Brave Friends. It was written by none other than Ben Hecht, the celebrated Hollywood
scriptwriter.

However, it did not have significant long-term effects on Jewish immigration policies:
•The agreement was controversial and criticized by some Zionists, non-Zionist Jews, members of the Nazi Party, and the German public.

They also never waged war first.
They developed by themselves, and built better standards of living, rather than focusing on their neighbours.

Its clearly conquest
Note that he says there was no Palestinians before 1900 yet the name was different but the people were there and from what we know the region was never jewish since ancient times, Jews were guests there as well Jews didnt build Jerusalem , the land was Cretominoan ,Canaanite, Philistine, Jews were just another conquerors ,the land Jesus was born was pagan 100 years before and they forced Judaism there in fact Greece would have much more right to claim the land based on ancestry and create a third Greek state than the Jews have , they were much older there and had it far longer , so the land was never solely Jews in the ancient times they always shared it with others who were natives and as for who is native now google says that both Palestinians and Jews have DNA from the Canaanites

And neither I, nor any thinking person in Russia complain about Ukraine bombing Russian cities in retaliation to aggression. And I wouldn’t complain if the US came and bombed Moscow in order to overthrow Putin’s regime.
Of course, a lot of people in Russia think otherwise and prefer to trust propaganda instead of common sense but it’s their choice, they are not victims of circumstance, they choose not to think because it’s easier. the Jewish population [to Palestine] more than doubled.
Thank you so much for setting the historical, political & the fill-in-the-blank-itical of the contemporary portion of this conflict.
about the blank:
what was the havara agreement aimed at?
The Haavara Agreement was a 1933 deal between the Zionist movement, the German government, and the Anglo-Palestine Bank that aimed to facilitate the emigration of German Jews to Palestine. The key points are:
•Under the agreement, German Jews had to surrender their possessions before leaving Germany, and the proceeds were used to purchase German goods for sale in Palestine.

I wish you all the best from Prague.
This guy is lying through his teeth. I'm not even 4 minutes into the video and almost everything he said is a very sly twisting of the narrative and all kinds of tricks and even pure lying. Go at least read the Deir Yassin Wikipedia page for yourself to see how much this dude is lying. For starters, I'll refute 2 points he made about Deir Yassin:
1) "the casualties were low".

It’s crazy how people don’t realize the truth and buy into the media
I'm not sure that's really happening on a massive scale, at least not with Vox. Western media is still overwhelmingly lenient to Israel, but I would say luckily an increasing amount of people can see through that and realize Israel isn't as innocent as the sugarcoated Western narrative makes it out to be. Really the truth is always more complex than any media outlet paints it as.
I dunno where you are from but British media is predominantly pro Israel.
People have been dumbed down and they are extremely easy to manipulate. It’s been done intentionally.
You’re so fascinating and accurate in your learning and explanations. Thanks .
there's an interview with Golda Meir from 1967 where she was asked about the Palestinian people's right to have the entire region of 'Palestine', her answer was: "I'm a Palestinian, from 1941 to 1948 I walked around with a Palestinian passport", issued to her by the British empire that ruled the region of 'Palestine', which was inhabited by arabs (for centuries) and jews (for millennia). so yeah, by that definition, I, an Israeli jew, am also a 'Palestinian'. the difference is that jews actually have an ancient identity so we don't need to identify ourselves using arbitrary regional names assigned by an empire that conquered our region at some random point in history.
That would be the same as someone in Austria saying: 'at some point in time bohemia (part of the czech rep.) was part of my country, so we are entitled to that land'.....

Thats not a good analogy, since bohemia was a kingdom before Austria monarchy came And started to rule over the land

Oren, I cannot begin to tell you how important it is what you are doing. We are just too close to reaching a point in history where the relationship between the far left and the Arab world may gain the upper hand in an ongoing war against the Jews, by disseminating such vicious contortions of history.

When the 1948 War broke out, the Israeli government published a front page article in the local paper calling on the Arabs to stay & promising them equal rights as citizens. The fact is they left on their own for various reasons, some because they were scared & some because they were told to evacuate temporarily by he Arab leadership.
Yeah because back then mass murder of populations was a common thing and they werent allowed to return
Yup, and all Arabs that stayed became citizens, which is why over 2 million Arabs are living in Israel today.
@@maoreos4381 Pal all Jews are immigrants there my grandma is older than Israel
As an American i can tell you that Vox is trash that the vast majority of us do not pay any attention to.
Just FYI, This guy is lying through his teeth.
I agree it's trash. But I don't agree that most people don't pay attention to it. They have 11 million subscribers that they brainwash.

"Historian Wolfgang G. Schwanitz has cast doubts on the story:
The claim that the mufti got "ten containers with poison" to kill a quarter of a million people via the water system of Tel Aviv in exchange for the five Palestinian paratroopers in late 1944 (61) is not substantiated in British or German sources. If the authors can now show really hard proof, this would be a discovery, since the British police report of 1944 on file is very detailed."
"Historian Christian Destremau points out that the cargo contained no such quantities of toxic material, but only poison capsules, probably to be of service in attempts to liquidate locals believed to be collaborating with the Mandatory Authorities.[12] According to MI5 files, the parachutists brought three types of poison to Palestine: some suicide pills for themselves, six tubes of powder to put tracking dogs off their scent (they didn't realise this was poisonous and kept it with their food) and an envelope of "arseneous oxide". Regarding these latest, Wieland said that the mufti insisted it be brought for the purpose of eliminating Arab traitors but Latif denied it was the mufti's idea. The 400-page files do not mention any intention to poison population or enough quantities for such a plan."

what was the havara agreement aimed at?
its historical background?
The Haavara Agreement was a 1933 deal between the Zionist movement, the German government, and the Anglo-Palestine Bank that aimed to facilitate the emigration of German Jews to Palestine. The key points are:
•The agreement did not imply that the Nazis were Zionists or shared the goal of establishing a Jewish state in Palestine.

By the time Israel achieves its decimation of Gaza - Israel is talking about months of warfare that will continue at least until the end of this year - it will have signed its own death sentence. Its facade of civility, its supposed vaunted respect for the rule of law and democracy, its mythical story of the courageous Israeli military and miraculous birth of the Jewish nation - which it successfully sold to its western audiences - will lie in ash heaps.

Well you could say the same thing that the victim card around the world by pro-jewish it's so sickening to the point anyone who is associated post anything about Palestine is also affected...... the truth is this may be accurate or it might not be accurate or am I just be a little accurate because he obviously is biased but history is history we would only know if we did our own research we could take his information and noted and then go look at other documentaries and read other Publications and then we will see from there..... can you make a good point people love to listen to only what they want to hear on social media without digging deeper so don't just take this word for it don't just take his video for it go do more research this is one Outlet..... which may be facts or maybe narratives as well.... the point is don't have Tunnel Vision on anything that's why we have to check our sources what we get information from all the time and then go from there
@@ME-ot2ceyes, good point. Don't forget to include Mosab Yousef book "Son of Hamas" as part of your research.
"Among the most confusing political phenomena of our time is the appearance in the newly created State of Israel of the Freedom Party (Herut), a political party similar in its method of organization, political philosophy and social appeal to the Nazi and Fascist parties."
[Begin and Yitzhak Shamir, members of the party, both became prime ministers] This was written by Albert Einstein, Hanna Arendt and other prominent American Jews in the New York Times to protest Menachem Begin's visit to the United States, December 1948.
David Ben-Gurion claimed that strong belief in the myth turns it into truth, or at least as good as a truth.

Very very appreciate your work!
The early Jewish leaders appealed to the Arabs to stay in their houses and help them create a country together. The Arabs had 5 other Arab countries attack the one day old country of Israel.
If tomorrow someone turned up uninvited and said stay and we will live together how would you react?
@@jemma_19988turned up uninvited? Why don’t you just ignore the Jewish presence in the land which dates back millennia?
Thank you! I wish Queen Rania of Jordan would see your videos. Her comments on CNN were very disappointing.
Disappointing is an understatement, in general Arab husbands are wife beaters so she had no choice
Oren , your videos are a godsend. You’ve helped me educate myself massively about the roots of the conflict and to understand how uninformed most of the people voicing opinions about the conflict are…
Please inform yourself using other sources. This channel is full of cherry picking, arguing straw men, unwarranted extrapolation and many other fallacies. It’s full of distorted Israeli propaganda, basically. People are here praising it without checking anything themselves because what is said fits the narrative they want to be prevalent. I can recommend a recent video by HasanAbi called “This pro-Israel video is insane” debunking the “facts” in the videos made by this Oren propagandist.
Hey man just commenting for the algorithm; appreciate what you do.
Wow. Even though I've been learning about Israel for a decade now... I never knew about the details of the nakba narrative! Thank you, Oren. This is very helpful and informative. ❤
