Huge Tungaloy Grooving Tool .590” Wide, used in Samsung SL30 CNC Lathe Programed in Mastercam

On this video we try out a new Tungaloy .590” Wide Grooving tool, Typically this part would be machined out with 2 different turning tools and 2 more to finish. By using this tool we saved 5 min per part. This was programmed with Mastercam 2024. It takes about 30 minutes to fully machine this part and the 2nd side gets finished on another lathe. The last process of this part is to get the bigger side flange drilled on a vertical CNC mill.
