this is a great video as I watched Chris on his basic CZ build all the way up to his Vudoo. I shoot an RPR right now and will be looking at the AT One or Pro Varmint. Add to that My .177 BSA R10 MkII as my precision/field target air rifle and I thought, "hmmm maybe someone on UA-cam has done an accuracy comparison," and here you two are. Outstanding.
Looking forward to hearing how the match goes. Just getting into precision 22 with a CA ranger I picked up during a rebate promo and loving it. Has me shopping airguns also wondering what else I've been looking over while playing with "real" guns the last decade. So much more enjoyable to spend an afternoon shooting and not feeling like I need to pull 2 shifts of overtime to pay for it. Plus it's easy to find a range that's challenging for the 22 unlike my big guns. There's just not much more than 2-300 yards easily available around here. Local club has a coverd 100 and 200 yard range plenty to play with and have a blast with 22lr.
I noticed that Chris was resting his hand on his scope, and I was wondering if that may be effecting the optics at all? I am an amateur astrophotographer and we have to deal with something called differential flexture. Basically the weight of our guidescopes causes them to flex just slightly in relation to the telescope, and this can have an effect on our images. Though, in AP this usually happens on the scale of arc-seconds (1/60th of an MOA, which we call arc-minutes), so if there is an effect I would highly doubt it is significant for shooting. Huge fan of your channel; you’ve been my go-to for learning about precision shooting. Keep up the good work!
I noticed the Ernest Rowe 800mm air stripper / tensioner. Are those in production? Do you know where I can learn more about it? Thanks in advance and love the content!
Hey Brad get ahold of 910 airgun tuning and repair. He sells Ernest parts and can probably give you better info than me. I bought mine from Ernest just before RMAC
I own a Vudoo and Impact M3. The FX is a really good complement to Vudoo, especially for backyard practice or when it’s impossible to find match rimfire ammo.
Hi, nice video as always 👌👍 Where did you buy that side lever grip?? And in your opinon, what is the best saber tactical buttstock or, K&L buttstock?? Thanks!😉
I won't be attending this year. I've been in MO training for 6 months away from the family. I'm going to spend a solid few months at home enjoying the family time before I make any trips.
@@PursuitofAccuracy he doesn't make them anymore. They are Bulelt Central Tensioned Carbon Shrouds. When you talk to Ernest ask him. He will tell you the same
do you have issues with slugs and pellets not being consistent I know rimfire ammo even on match grade stuff can being rather iffy at times@@PursuitofAccuracy
If price of ammunition is a factor, the pcp is a clear winner. The simplicity of a .22 rimfire is hard to beat though. You definately win the ugliest gun award Josh. Thanks for another informative video.
Have you priced airgun slugs? Personally, I can find 22lr cheaper in my area. I'm talking bulk pack of course. But there's a wide swing on pellets from crosman 500 tins @ 6.29 to JSB 500 tin for $23+. Slugs are even more. I see $10 per box of 50 for "target" 22 like eley and such.
LOL. The fence is straight but it's really wobbly with a rifle on it. Not in the sense it would fall over it was just hard to get stable on and I like complaining about Chris's stuff LOL
@@PursuitofAccuracy Agreed, but add the optic and a compressor, tank, regulator. By that time your at least into a RemX build in a chassis and optic equal to what ever your putting on the air rifle. If I had the extra cash I’m not sure it’s what I’d spend it on. I’m looking at going to a custom build, it will be my first really nice gun and I have the advantage of doing any machine work myself, vs knowing nothing about air guns and I’ve never seen one at a match in the area, nor at my local club. I guess I’m in a different spot than you are with a few great shooting 22’s and whatever help your getting with the air rifle.
@@takedeadaim8671 for sure got to add the compressor and tank into the equation. Optic and accessories should be the same across both. But totally understand brother. Its a growing sport and will take time to cafch up to rimfire
I love and own pcp rifles so don't get me wrong, but it's not even a close comparison. UNLESS you're shooting 40 gr slugs like Matt Dubber has been recently. To me it's not much conparison with a 15grain pellet or even a 25 grain slug. 40/40 is the only way. You can achieve every bit of 22 lr velocities with pcp.
More videos like this Josh
Thanks
Love the comparison videos and accuracy at distance
Thanks Cliff

It's kinda nice to see you guys miss ever so often.
Been missing the videos.
I try to show it as I shoot it; good, bad, or indifferent. Missing is just part of it, and if you're not missing your not challenging yourself.
GREAT VIDEO JOSH AND CHRIS , THAT AIR GUN IS NO JOKE .... WOW ... !!!!! DOUBLE G. HERE ... !!!!

That Impact is holding its own!
It's a really cool air rifle for sure

Now that I think about it, these scopes have to withstand gunshots, so the weight of a hand probably won’t be doing anything 🤣
Lol yeah its not an issue that ive ever seen. I do appreciate the info on your setup though, cool stuff

@@PursuitofAccuracy Awesome. Thanks!
The carbon fiber shroud & tensioner are being made by Bullet Centrial in collaboration with me
@@ernestrowe5061 thanks for the info Ernest. Are they currently for sale? Would love to pick one up.

Thanks John
Well that bridge u have on the top Josh 😳😆
Hey Josh thanks for all the help at last weekends match, good to meet ya , question on targets, where do u get ur little egg shape targets from
I actually got them from a buddy. Think he had them made. Nice to meet you as well!

That's a great pair for sure
I have a vudoo and can do 0.35 inches 10 round groups consistently at 50m, how is the fx doing?
Hopefully you guys do another with the Panthera
Im back in NC so chris is safe........for now
I would like to make a request. 1 episode of some iron sighted shooting.

Its really preference. I like both but use the saber tactical buttstock the most.
I believe bullet central is selling the charging handle
Fun stuff
Not fair... Trade guns! Let Poobear use the air rifle! 😆
The viking has shot the PCP :)
That intro cracked me up - ha ha ha 😂😂😂
Lol appreciate ya noticing
You mentioned that you're going to the NRL National match. Are you going to be going to Texas in December for the PRS National as well?

Please do some long range with the Impact vs a powder burner, PS great video!
At least you didn’t use some cheap cz 457 like other UA-camrs… vudoo vs impact is more comparable pair. Good stuff Josh.
Thanks brother.
When are the shirts coming back out? I need another one…..
Most likely beginning of the year.
22 slug in both rifle...which one shoots harder/effectively(hope you know what i meant) and most importanty accurately
Are you going to mention the carbon fiber tensioner system you have on the rifle??
I mention it in the video but its an ernest rowe custom stripper / tensioner.

Did you make that spinner target at 6min?
That is Chris spinner target but i dont think its home made
How many shot ate you getting @ that speed?
what are the cost comparisons?
I cant say exactly what chris has in the vudoo but im sure they are very close in overall cost

My only air gun is a 25 caliber Benjamin Marauder that’s very accurate out to 50 yards it’s my favorite squirrel gun
The marauder was my first pcp air rifle. Great rifles
Guud fun 👍🏻✌🏻🐴❤️🤠🇨🇱
What distance are the targets at ?
From the tank trap like 85-90 yards
The fence like 50ish
😆 stop Ginger! My ammo... 😆

Lol whats wrong with pcp's
I get it...but dang if I can't warm up to airguns
