"With a very suspicious looking cluster of something under there"..."I think they're nuts" OMG! LOL! You were right, George, this was a very illuminating video. Oh my goodness!....sooooo much information. Thank you for the chuckle too. 😁😍
FYI - that faux leopard hat is from the 1960s... and it's likely not a smaller than normal size since this style was meant to perch more on top of the head rather than pulled down - more of a bouffant style pillbox. Think Audrey Hepburn in the 1963 movie Charade - she wore a very similar one :)
Hello, George! 😀👋Sorry to have missed you in chat 💬last night;😕 but, what a fun video! 🎥📸😀 I always learn so much!📝 🤔😮😁Thank you for taking us along!! ❤
It is so neat you could all go out and share for a day in new shops,,,that is special...thanks so much,,,wonderful seeing different towns and the shopping.
Interesting video as always George. It was nice meeting you at the Utica Antique Show this past Saturday. I really like the two metal wall elements I bought from you.
George, that was fun! Love all of y'all! You mentioned 3 East TN items that I am familiar with! Some of my relatives worked in Pigeon Forge Pottery and know the fab Dolly Parton! And...I was at the Knoxville World Fair for a week participating in high school 4-H contests!! Stayed in a UT dorm and heard Clydesdale horses every morning on walk! Thanks for all your wonderful info again and bringing back good memories!!🧡🧡😁😁
I really love seeing your views and subscriber counts continue to jump up! You are so deserving, and you have been really providing quality videos for sometime now! It seems everyone is finally catching-up with the hidden gem that is George!!!
George I love to hear your knowledge of course I can't remember it all but it is so entertaining especially with other you tubers. They love your input as do I
"I think they're nuts"...... and now i get to change my shirt due to the coffee that burst out of my nose, I laughed so hard!! Wasnt expecting you to say exactly what everyone was thinking so nonchalantly. Perfect!!!
Hi George, it's nice to have friends with similar interests to shop with; Longaberger has restarted making baskets; I'm not sure if they're just using the Longaberger name however Tami Longaberger is their current spokesperson and I received an email from her about 2 weeks ago about their Facebook page; the Longaberger is not completely out of the market even though the company was sold a few years ago and then closed shortly after that I believe the Longaberger Basket shaped building is still up for sale and I don't know where they're currently producing the new generation of Longaberger baskets. Have a great week and thanks for sharing so many interesting items on this video.
I have that yellow pyrex dish with lid (no chips!), got it for $6 at a local thrift. Thanks for taking us along, you are like an encyclopedia of information! Great video George😀
I like the stuff you got, can't name them all. I did see things you missed maybe. You have good eyes to see all of a lot maybe you didn't miss anything,
Hi George, joined your live channel and can't wait for the excitement! I was bidding on Ebay for the lovely bowl and candle holders, went for pizza and lost the set 😭 Can only hope for better luck next time. Thanks for yet another great video!
Hey George! I like that Lodge kettle. I used to have one, but sold it when I moved here. That weird table looked like it would be used in an occultist setting 😵😂😂 I have my grandad's dust sprayer. Mother said he had it when she was growing up in the 40's. That Save-a-Way bank was interesting. I like old banks, and that one would've probably come home with me. I really liked that tin bluebird plate, too. I tend to be drawn to the old tin pieces like that, especially the old children's tea sets. The stretch glass bowl was nice. That was a great price on it, too. That..."R S Prussia"...hair receiver sounds more like R S Germany, if it had a blue mark. Those faery lamps are something I just cannot get into. They're more like clutter, to me. Looked like an enjoyable thrifting excursion. Thanks for the take-along!!! Oh yeah, I've subscribed to your new channel. Looking forward to that!!!
Lol I could put the 666 goat on the occultist table! Old tin attracts me as well. I'm thinking RS German also, the blank was too plain for RS Prussia. Fairy lamps from Victorian times interest me, the 1960s send-ups that nostalgia seekers bought to remember the orignals by are less appealing to me personally. Thank you for joining in on the live channel! See you Wednesday
@@TheAntiqueNomad 🤣🤣🤣 Yeah, those two pieces would be a match made in...well, you get the picture😉 Mother has an R S Prussia hair receiver, and it is much more elaborate than that one. Yes, the Victorian faery lamps were MUCH nicer than the 1960's ones. It's quite obvious there was more makers' pride in the Victorian ones. I'm looking forward to the live channel!!!
Same. I was quietly chuckling. The artist probably meant to draw curls on the ram, but instead the curls look like Satan's mark with the ram being, well.... lol.
Turned spindle beds and cribs are named for Jenny Lind, the songstress of the later part of the 19th century. Miss Lind was known as the "Songbird of Sweden" and wore her hair in spiraling curls resembling the turned spindles. Today's 'scratch my head and wonder why" purchase was a miniature hand-blown Murano vase for 13 dollars. I knew it would be small, but at less than 3\4 of an inch, i was surprised that it was send to me in a plastic pill jar. Keep your eyes open for Pandora charms. Pandora has discontinued use in real diamonds for political reasons. This means that the older charms are going to be worth more to a collector. Fenton has started to hold hands with Pandora and are now making glass charms for the bracelets and necklaces.
Jenny Lind, so popular her name was applied to furniture forms and glass bottles even in the 20th century! I like the miniature Murano but it's surprising how a picture doesn't always capture the size in a way that you understand in person. No more Pandora items? Great tip! Thank you. I did hear that Fenton is largely a bead maker for them now, I guess it's a great way to use a century of glass cullet
Sit, If I don’t have Pen Pal, Do you accept, like American Express. I am new at this and don’t know how to get Pay PallZ I’m the one that had the LV throw off fabulous bracelet.
I had one in the 60's. Unfortunately I gave it away when I got married. It had the metal stand and each branch wS in a paper sleeve when boxed. If you ever see one, ill buy it from you no question on price.
Come on jeffrey I watch your sales and people way too much for fairy lamps even amber which I think is the prettiest with lights. Sorry dont mean to me negative but you and misty have the corner of the market for fairy lamps
you're going to goodwill shops which exist for the benefit of those less fortunate. Then you're buying the bargain-priced goods and marking them up for greed and profit. SHAME on you!!!
Surely you can't be serious! Do you really think that poor people are in desperate need of Weller Pottery bowls from the 1930s? Goodwill uses the funds to help people, so who cares who buys it? Most of the time, they pick out the best stuff and sell it online for more than I can get for it anyhow. Oh, and while they're at it, they also give $500,000/year of it to their CEO, which is more than the President of the United States gets for running an entire country. So who should be most ashamed?
@@TheAntiqueNomadAnd don't forget, they have had many lawsuits for simply NOT paying employees, sometimes for years, particularly employees with intellectual disabilities.
I thought of nuts too. 😁 cool hobby magazine.

I was proud of myself, I usually can't
My grandmother used bluing as a precursor to bleach.

Whenever someone says picnic basket I can only hear Yogi Bear saying ‘pickernick’ basket 😀
Another great video
Love the English blue white
It is pretty and just says tradition and home to me
You should get together again. I loved it.
I wish I had George's brain. Or at least 1/4 of it!!!
This was such a fun day! I saw some things I missed! 😄
Oh cool! It sure was for me too. It was so fun that you came and we could hang
Thanks for all the information!! Fun video!

HTF pattern on the Inca ware at a dollar a piece one can make great money online .
What a fun day shopping with friends how do you all not grab the same stuff do you trip them as they are going for the same thing lol
It's surprising how well we all shop together, but we all like different variations of the same theme and sell in different locations
I think they’re nuts.🤣🤣🤣🤣
What fun it would be to see you all coming through the door. I would have been such a groupie and descended on you all.
I like the stuff you got, can't name them all. I did see things you missed maybe. You have good eyes to see all of a lot maybe you didn't miss anything,
Oh I'm sure I miss things especially while filming! Also we all see and know different things and can learn from each other

I'm sorry! But I'm excited to see you at the live channel too
Hi, cool! Barb of Winking Owl!
"Finding the Fabulous" could be the name of your third channel, lol, although you do that already.
The third channel ended up being a Shorts-only channel, but I do like that name you came up with!
I liked the $1.00 necklace. There were others but I think of them, I’m so sick I really should be n bed.
I'm sorry! I hope you feel well again

I love that pyrex color, I've never seen it before. I already have my Moms traditional set. Too bad it was $15.
$15 would be fine to pay if it was for yourself! Interesting shade of brown, early 1960s
That 666 ram made me laugh.
Me too unexpected

In the 1950s and 1960s colonial antiques from the 1700s were all the rage,
That's a fact! Not so much now. Times and tastes ebb and flow

Oh! I’m looking for a really rare Walt Disney Steel Drum Band album. If you come across it in your travels by chance-please let me know! 😊
That slip ware under the blue and white.....?
What show do you do in Michigan.
Sometimes Utica and Allegan. Hope to do Davisburg and/or Midland soon.
Allegan and Davisburg are great. Never been to Utica or Midland. Allegan gets Chicago shoppers. Used to sell there.
Did I see an aluminum Christmas tree????
You did, but it had the wrong king of plastic base to be old unfortunately
