Really enjoyed the garden items! I grew up here in horse country around some very fabulous horse farms and saw a lot of that growing up! Absolutely beautiful! Summer in Kentucky!
Wow! There were a lot of things there I really liked. The pre-Colombian piece, the shaving stand and the barrister's bookcase -- I want those! Fantastic video tour, George!!! Thanks!!!

Great video of a fabulous show! Petosky is a magnificent city in northern Michigan! I love to visit it!!! Please advise if you’ll be there again as I live in south central Michigan and would definitely attend!❤️
I'm glad I can give you a chance to see them! I love the shows because they're like a museum, except you can see it up close and in person (and even touch them)
That's really nice of you to say! I hope you'll like, subscribe (it's free) and watch my other stuff, I have a new one coming out tonight. You look like you have style btw
OMG!! I was just researching chickens!!! They are such fun! Summer Rayne, the plant guru, had a pet chicken that roosted on her bedroom door every night!! She dearly loved that bird. Then Cam of Dixie Cryptid was talking about all of his chickens--so they definitely become pets. I was shocked in learning about their personalities and some are sooo pretty. I was quite taken with them!! So definitely get some!!! You’ll have fun chasing them around! When you get them, you will have to make a video!! How fun!!!!
I thought having chickens would be fun but I think I need a more rural locale! I’ve known several people who have had chickens and they loved them! And they always had plenty of eggs to give to their friends! There’s such a difference in fresh eggs!! Deviled eggs are one of my fave foods! One evening I was watching Cam talking about his chickens and he was raving about his rooster. He said how protective he was over the chickens. He said one day a hawk was circling and it tried grabbing a chicken when the rooster went nuts on the hawk! And the hawk flew away!! The rooster saved the day!! How interesting!! You’ll have to do a video on chicken raising with your coop and chickens!! That’ll be fun and different!
The old Pawn conchos were gorgeous. I'm from the SW. I had Rhode-island reds when I was in my 20's and they were the best layers. Just remember to put chicken wire underneath if you have a chicken coup so nothing can dig underneath and get your hens. I had mine for around 10 years. I had a variety, exotic, little banty hens, it was great!
@@TheAntiqueNomad....yes most predators love chickens....you can make a moveable chicken run to protect them during the day...I suggest motion lights/sensors on the coup for night time

I used to do the markets in Florida up until 2003. The mid 1990s were the best time to do them in my opinion. I did Renniger's Extravaganza and monthly fairs. The Winter show at the Convention Center in Miami Beach when Lou Baron ran it. Webster's, Wagon Wheel, the Drive in Market in Pinellas County, Don Scotts and Lakewood in Atlanta. Piccadilly in West Palm Beach. They were a lot of fun and I really miss doing them. I can't get over how much the crowds and the prices have dropped off though.
It's true, a lot of those are gone now (including Wagon Wheel, it closed due to covid and announced it will not reopen). The Baby Boomers and their parents were so much of the dealer base, my generation (49 million) is so small compared to those 100 million people that it's going to take awhile to regenerate

Just subscribed. You were recommended by Crazy Lamp Lady. I love her and now I love you. You are very knowledgeable about a lot of things. Keep up the good work.
Hiya George, your booth is lovely, one that would’ve pulled me in for sure! At 28:36 that Art Deco lamp was a steal, gimme😆! So many treasures, wish they’d open back up here in NY (possibly upstate is open, I’m too close to city limits) we always had fun flea mkts, antique shows in summer🙁. I’ve had that Laugh-In bin since about ‘80, got for a quarter at a church sale & yep I’m old enough to recall watching it 1st time around, so silly but fun! Thanks for showing us your lovely booth, all the other goodies... need a road trip but not happy about our stupid governor setting up checkpoints to get back in state😡. Have a lovely week & I hope you did well at the show! Jet 🧡🎸🎶⚡️PS every time I hear “Vintage & Vinyl” I think of my 1st B&M shop in Greenwich Village which was called that!
The Antique Nomad - That’s our sleazy Governor for you. His wife misappropriating state funds, him hoarding about 3K ventilators at the height of the pandemic. The control has to STOP! Yes, you should’ve gotten that lamp, bet you’d get a much higher price which would still be worth it! J. XXX 😘🧡😻😻
Thanks for the update on the Fox/Parrish print. Not my taste, but it was serene. So many items to see. Great video. Portland, Oregon cancelled the show.😒 But, we have too many CV cases yet. Looking forward to “some day” again.🤷🏻♀️
I am too, that's always been my best show of the year so it was hard to see it not happen! I was pleased that the Michigan show figured out safe protocols, I'm hopeful they can be successfully used elsewhere
Thanks! That's fun, the Barrel Line was what grew them from making cute figures to being a large ceramics powerhouse...the cookie jar was featured on the Dick Van Dyke show and that alone helped sell 50000 units! The brown rubbed glaze didn't give it the strength of an enamel glaze, so it tended to wear and chip, that's why they're not so common in good shape now
The Antique Nomad I thought they were cool...they have the copper trim and of course marked...I know we are missing Milk...we have Water, Juice, coffee with lid, Butter, and Syrup. 😊
🦋 I bought a Lenox snow queen, mail order way back when, and it was NOT the one you showed. Can’t remember how much I paid but I know it was expensive for the 1980’s. When it arrived, right way, I saw the underglaze was painted very sloppily. Fortunately I was able to return it for full refund. ✌🏽
Frame 31:37 Those colored metal cups (tin, Alum.?), My Grandmother had some. She happily pour me orange juice in the mornings in them, Could barely drink it cause of the sharp metallic taste they had.
Thanks for the tour of the show and all the added information about the many pieces you featured. Is there a similar video coming out about the July Burlington show? Will you be setting up at the Burlington show again this month?
I do plan to set up this Sunday at Burlington! However, I couldn't get free to video the July show. I did a video and a Periscope about the June version, however.
I never have seen a Peter Marsh lamp before. It was the chunky glass that threw me. I would have searched every Arts & Crafts lighting manufacturer for this one. To find out this is MCM is unique. I never have seen anyone trying to reinterpret the Arts & Crafts movement.
Yes, agreed! They were very popular in California and I remember them from childhood in San Diego, otherwise I would've presumed a half-century older myself.
Thank you! I expect I'll do Springfield, Ohio extravaganza and Sparks, Kansas but may not get as far as Pennsylvania, will have to see if schedule allows
The Antique Nomad That sounds like a fun trip! Safe travels! If you find yourself in Adamstown, check out the shops too! I’m a dealer inside Lancaster County Antique Center.
Any news on the Custer’s Spokane show(s) this year? Another huge show, Farm Chicks, is now scheduled for June 2021. They tried to move it from this June to August, but we are still in the thick of COVID here. Not as bad as Seattle, but still quite severe.
The Antique Nomad - Probably depends on how crowded Custer’s gets. The Farm Chicks show is typically packed, with a long line to get in, and curated vendors are packed shoulder to shoulder in all the bays, so it’s just not an option.
I didn't, but if you call Petoskey Antiques in Michigan, I think the promoter will give you that info. Mention that it was in the outdoor tent on the south side of the building with the administration offices that sets at an angle
I do when I can, they're from Portland and they sometimes shop my old haunts...in fact, they've videoed at two of the four antique malls I used to run!
How cool! A friend and I have decided we are the older Canadian version of Laura and Selena and we hope to take a junk trip to the US once Trump doesn’t run it. 😉😊👍
Hi George, what are the purple cream & sugar bowls at the 7:03 mark near the prince & princesses? My mother has a set of those in a cobalt blue with the same silver overlay in her China cabinet. Thank you.
Oh, thank you! I will tell my mother. I believe they belonged to her mother or grandmother, but she doesn't know very much about them. Now at least we can put a name and a maker to them. Several years ago my parents tried to identify all of their "treasures" for the benefit of me and my brother (since they're in their 70s now), but it's amazing how many things we have that we love and yet we may know very little about--especially since my mother lost her mother fairly young. All that familial knowledge gets lost as well.
OMG!!! I have fallen in love with the Fenton blue satin glass!!!!! Do you still have that lamp!???!! How much is it??? I’m selling a huge wardrobe of clothes on Poshmark and I have a hard time listing...if I could possibly get that lamp...well, let’s just say I’m newly inspired!!! I haven’t seen a lamp like that anywhere and I’d rather buy from you than someone I don’t know on EBay!!! I also liked the pink and blue plate with the pink bird. Do you still have that??? I’m going to spend the next week listing my butt off!!!! Probably about 7 months ago I started watching Jocelyn and I was fine til she came up with a Fenton small vase. So I dashed over to a local antique shop. I found three pieces and my collection was born! So you see, I NEED that lamp!!! I sure hope you have it somewhere!! Thanks!! If you prefer, my email is my name plus eleven at gmail. Again, thanks!!
Angela Delaney , don’t blame you Angela! It is gorgeous. I was actually thinking about it too, but you want it so much. I hope George still has it, so you can have it. 👍🏻😊
Hello! I believe I still have the lamp and would sell it for $135. The little Royal Copley bird on flower dish is $10. Please let me know if you think you're interested and we can go from there...you can email me at TheAntiqueNomad@gmail.com
GEORGE, you mentioned an antique show in Central Washington State? I moved here at the end of last year, so I did not know about that. Where do they hold that?
There may still be the antique show in Tri-Cities in March. Other than that, there's a bunch of flea markets and swap meets with a fair antique representation in Tri-Cities. Yakima doesn't have a show anymore.
I love tagging along with you when you treasure hunt.
WOW I would have loved to have been there. Thanks

Great video! I’m glad Antique Shows are starting to come back! Are you planning on going to Adamstown PA for the September Antiques Extravaganza?
They haven't officially canceled as of yet. I don't understand why they can't just spread us apart in that huge venue and have it be perfectly fine!
The Antique Nomad - Probably depends on how crowded Custer’s gets. The Farm Chicks show is typically packed, with a long line to get in, and curated vendors are packed shoulder to shoulder in all the bays, so it’s just not an option.
Hi George, fell in love w/Veronwear dishes...any chance you picked up the 2 vendor’s business cards? I’d love to own a see if these dishes.
I didn't, but if you call Petoskey Antiques in Michigan, I think the promoter will give you that info. Mention that it was in the outdoor tent on the south side of the building with the administration offices that sets at an angle
You watch the Recycled Life? I love her channels too - and Selena’s. Just wish I had more time to watch. 😊🇨🇦
Yesss George we love a long one!! Now I want a taxidermy raccoon. 😻
Right? Who knew a taxidermy raccoon would look so cool?
Hi George, what are the purple cream & sugar bowls at the 7:03 mark near the prince & princesses? My mother has a set of those in a cobalt blue with the same silver overlay in her China cabinet. Thank you.
Those are Cambridge glass in Krome-Kraft metal by Farber Brothers, very popular in the 1930s
You are so sweet!! Yup! I definitively love it and want it!!
Missed this ...drats
That's okay, the good news is you can still enjoy it with me after the fact!
You had an interesting natural rattan basket with blue and red beads in it, can you tell me anything about it? Just came across one the other day...
Hmm, I'd have to see it to be sure I'm telling you right. You can send a pic via email to TheAntiqueNomad@gmail.com
@@TheAntiqueNomad sorry, it first appeared at 2:47 in your video
😆 Who doesn't need a 4' Natty Light? 😆
Indeed! lol
The Antique Nomad thank you!
You look handsome with your haircut
Overdue for another one!
Ever get to come to Wisconsin?
Hope to in 2022
Hey George, do you still have that pre-Columbian piece?
I think it sold
