Lita came into the record store I worked at in the late eighties in Crystal, Minnesota. She was playing in Minneapolis that night and her luggage hadn't arrived yet. So her hair was pulled back and she didn't have any makeup on. She was absolutely gorgeous without it. I got a great picture of me and her together and we look like a couple. It's pretty awesome. I met her again a few years ago and had her sign it. She was blown away about how we looked back then. Her drummer made fun of my hair.
Ummm she looks the same same type clothes same style all of it…..Even her hair is the same 😂🤷🏼♀️ Course she’s old and her arms are saggy among other saggy things…..just not sure what you mean about her weird clothes….
Wow, after 35 years since this song was released you are the FIRST person I've heard recognize what struck me way back when I was 12 years old. This entire song was produced with swapped gender roles for the time. From the keys they are each singing in, to the lyrics themselves, any other two artists would have changed the lead and backup vocals. But both Ozzie and Lita said to hell with that. Now you need to check out Kiss Me Deadly!
My favorite song by her is "Lisa" which is about her mother. And speaking of The Runaways. RIP Sandy West who passed away this weekend and was the drummer of the band
For anyone who speaks or sings publicly on any kind of a regular basis, I think it's so important to repeatedly record yourself to get a sense of your own voice. What you hear when you speak or sing isn't what's coming out iof your mouth. It doesn't loop back around to your ears. It's what's reverberating around your skull, so it sounds a lot fuller than what other people hear or what a recording would pick up. It took me years of editing my own podcasts to get accustomed to my speaking voice and figure out how to adjust it into something that I like. I'm still working on that with my singing, so I do multiple test recordings for everything to make sure that I know how it actually sounds as I'm working on it.
first time I heard this song, the solo, the I was able to watch the video, Lita playing the solo me and my friends had a total breakdown! it was the best ever 4 us!
I saw Lita by accident (Ratt was scheduled to open for the Crüe but due to Pearcy having laryngitis they had to cancel and Lita filled in) during Motley Crüe's Dr. Feelgood tour. She was flat out amazing!! When she did this the audience did Ozzy's part and by the end they had drowned out the entire performance so she just sat down on stage and allowed the crowd to finish it. Gave us a round of applause, she was so classy about it. To this day its still one of the best opening shows I've ever seen. She was my first high school crush too.....for what it's worth. 😉😎🤘
This is an incredible song, even if Sharon was furious about that night. It is history. One of my favorite songs of Ozzy's is a song that no one ever mentions when it comes to his singing, yet it is one of the more unique vocal songs that he's done. It's off of The Ultima Sin album, an album Ozzy doesn't really like (aside from the song "Shot In The Dark" which he played in most of his concerts), but the song I like is called "Killer of Giants" which has incredible guitars and Ozzy singing like he's only done a few other times. It's a good song and deserves a lot more praise than it has received.
My apologies if someone else has already mentioned this, but there is a version of this song by a band called Device that you should check out. The lead singer of Device is David Draiman from Disturbed, and their cover of this song is a duet between David and Lzzy Hale from Halestorm.
This has to be one of the greatest collbabs/duets in metal history, even all these years later. Part of me always wondered who came up with it. Interesting to know that alcohol was involved, but so good that Lita & Ozzy followed through and recorded it. People have described her singing here as soulful, and how cool it is she plays an instrument. I am seeing a bit of the more popular female musical artists of today, and in my opinion there’s more focus on looks than performing/songwriting. And as one veteran female rocker put it, “I’d like to see less twerking and more power chords.”
I saw Lita in an interview talk about this. She said Ozzy and Sharon brought her a house warming gift and Ozzy and Sharon were not getting along good then, so Sharon left and Lita and Ozzy went into her little studio she had and came up with this song. If you have never listened to The Warning you should. Three sisters from Mexico who play straight forward rock/ hard rock. They don't wear skimpy clothes and are not that concerned with how they look. They write their own music and have some really great songs and are great live. Check them out at a concert they recorded in 8/2022 at The Warning Teatro Metropolitan.
Apparently, Lita was dating Toni Iommi when Ozzy was with Black Sabbath. They wrote the song years later, probably about 1986?…I alway liked the BC Rich Double neck, she also used the 10 string , experimental BC Rich “ Bitch” on other tracks, very cool, very custom, very valuable piece, and somehow appropriate. …not saying Lita was a bitch or anything.
Lita is still beautiful and still has the voice. She is currently on a world tour and is working on a new solo album that is supposed to come out sometime in 2024.
@@mora1948The entire Sabotage album was Ozzy flexing his high register on everyone.. look at Hole in the Sky lol. Immaculate album. Megalomania needed more mainstream love.
Saw Lita in concert for the first time a couple of months ago. Had a good time, and was glad to be able to check another name off my "see them before they die” list.
It's not a song I listen to regularly, nor have i ever been a fan of Lita Ford, never really looked into her honestly, but every now and then I hear this song and it always gave me chills.
yes, this was a great song they did together, true classic rock. Also Liliac an Mercury Cross did a cover of this song and did the best cover of this song that I have ever heard, it was truly amazing.
She's still touring...and Ozzie's dealing with medical issues. This was certainly a unique time in rock history and this touching duet was a perfect example of the softer side of heavy metal artists. Sweet.

8:04 She did not care which side anyone decided she was on. She was Rock and Roll incarnate. Her voice was (almost) just as strong as Ozzy's. That's all that matters.
Saw an interview with Lita where she tells small funny stories about Ozzy..and she told about this number that she was really surprised with Ozzys singing...as he can really hit those high notes 🙂
OZZY only have a few Planned duets, this is one of those. Plenty of times other singers get on stage with him, but only a few has the privilege to record with him. His own daughter has to practically beg for him to duet with her. The result was Great
Thanks for reacting to this Beth, this duet is epic & listened to this all time,I had Lita Ford's album in the late 80s & another track worth listening to is kiss me deadly,Lita & Ozzy sound great together on this track, great reaction ❤❤🎸🎸🦇🦇

best duet ever, thank you for reacting to it. Ozzies facial expressions during the video scarred her so much, she swore to never do a song with him again.
