Never let the caliper hang, zip tie it or better yet don't remove the top bolt on the caliper, just the bottom bolt needs removing, and use the old break pad to push back the piston with a c-clamp.
Yup. Thank you for the information. 💯% accurate and true. If you remove the whole caliper use something to hang it with. DO NOT LET IT HANG HOW I DID the hose can tear/break. Thank you for pointing out my mistakes.
I feel confident enough to do the job myself now
All I need is a dolly, screwdriver and a hammer and I’m in business 😂🤣
Thanks for making this video !!!
Lol. My pleasure. Don't forget to lower your car before you start. 😉
Thanks man I appreciate you for the video, helped me out a lot!!
My pleasure. Thank you for watching.
Thanks Bomber! 🙌🏼
My pleasure 🙏
Good video man.
Thank you. And thank you for watching.
Do you have a video on how to change the rotors as well? Usually you replace both rotors and pads at the same time.
Sorry no I don't.
But about 4 minutes into the video you will see a bracket that is still on there. Removing that bracket, the rotor should slide right out. I hope this helps.
Thank you
My pleasure.
Blahaha to the liquor store
Lol. You just couldn't see them. But they were there. LOL.
Thank you!!!! Drove into work this morning and my brakes started talking to me. Guess I know what I'm doing this afternoon. Happen to know how to change out the high pressure fuel pump? My Traverse is giving me all kinds of problems.
Glad my brake video will help. But nope sorry. I have no idea about the fuel pump. But honestly, I don't think it would be any different from the process of any other fuel pump replacement. Which of course is,
Dropping the tank, disconnecting the hoses, taking the fuel pump out of the tank, a good counterclockwise twist and pop, there's your pump.
I know sounds easy. But it take time and work. Make sure to have the new pump before doing the work. The worst is doing it twice. Good luck and thank you for watching.
Hey can you brush the dirt around ?
Yes. You can even wash around it with a pressure washer. Just don't get to close to the bushings with the pressure washer.
anybody have a part number on those brakes?
A part number is not usually used for brake pads. The year make & model is mostly used. If ordering through the dealer, your vehicles Vin number will be used.
