- Chevy Traverse Years 2016 Brake Pad Change--Same for 2009-2018.
Brakes pads are the reason your car is able to stop. When you press on the brake pedal, the brake pads apply friction against a metal disc or drum that halts the vehicle. Because of this friction, brake pads wear down over time. Maintaining effective brake pads is important to avoiding very pricey repairs as well as unsafe driving conditions; this video shows how to change the brake pads.

You couldn’t have explained this any simpler, truly appreciate it. It’s been about 4 years since I changed breaks on my old car, so needed to be refreshed on it, so thank you very much

Thanks for the video. One thing to note, this is why you NEVER ADD BRAKE FLUID until you change your pads. If your cylinder looks empty under the hood it’s because your pads are worn down. REPLACE PADS before you fill up your brake fluid!

I always forget about leaving the top bolt in and swinging the caliper up! It’s faster and easier on the brake fluid line. 👌
You’ve explained this in such a way that I feel confident I can do this myself. Thank you!

You're welcome!
Instructions worked like a champ, changed mine this morning… busted up my pinky trying to take the caliper screw out, but other then that, I’m good to go!

You should have loosened or removed the cap on the brake fluid reservoir before pushing caliper pistons in. Would have made it easier with less resistance.

First time doing my breaks thank to your video .. It’ help me a lot .. thank you 🙏🏻..
just one thing that happened when I lift the caliper I notice that this part was part was busted it’s a brake caliper slide pin boot.. can I drive it with out fixing it or I have toy replaced… I hope you can answer me soon as you can I will really appreciate.. keep up with good video like this thank you again … god bless 🙏🏻
Glad could help, the boots help keep water and other dirty and debrie from getting on your slide pin, if it does can cause brakes to not let go of rotor and cause pulling and will wear brake pads down quicker and possibly warp your rotor overtime. Normally bad boot want cause problems immediately but would get a new boot sooner then later. Please subscribe & like and share if haven't already and check out our other helpful videos

It appears you used the old clips and installed the back pad in the front, or at least the old pads were that way.
A meant is this for rear brakes
Pretty much the same for front and back. Please subscribe & like and share if haven't already and check out our other helpful videos
Do the rear breaks put on the same way
How do you know if you need new rotors too?
Love those size 13 screws...those Phillips or Flat head?
It this for rear brakes
The 1 that hav clip suppose to b in the back? Or it doesn’t matter?
AWESOME THANK YOU!!!
