    This is so funny to see Steve that young. So confident. He was like young Luke Skywalker. Now he´s more like Yoda. Full of wisdom. Much to learn, you still have 😆

    "I've got a new album out, it's called Passion and Warfare".
    What he meant to say is "I've got a new album out, it's going to completely change the industry standard, raise and elevate anything you've ever heard, and make this appearance here as a member of Whitesnake a mere footnote in history."

    Everyone saying he's egotistical here. He's way less egotistical than many other musicians were at the time, and still are today. He's behaving very humorously and not taking himself too damn seriously. What's wrong with that??

      @blackassasin175 7 років тому +16

      brightbite Yeah, I don't get it, I always hear people complain about his ego. He joked a lot about himself in this video, and I've seen him in serious interviews be very polite and honest, I think people confuse ego with confidence, he has confidence but I don't think he is over the top...

      Hope you don't mind me replying on a year old comment, but I'm also flabbergasted at people thinking Steve has an ego when he's just having fun. I still have a German guitar magazine from 2003 featuring an interview with him where he had stated that he finds it weird how people regard him as a great guitar virtuoso when he knows plenty people that could easily outplay him. He's part genius, part goofball, all around wonderful musician.

      this is gonna sound weird but the one actor that I think looks the most like Vai is Christian Bale. I don't know if that's still the case because they seem to age a bit differently.
      But if you look at Vai in that movie where he plays some kind of asshole... (crossroads?). I was shocked at how much he looked like Bale. Of course their demeanor is not the same but Bale is such a great actor and if he shed the weight down again I think he could probably play him great.
      Now... of course I don't think there's any plan to make a movie about Vai...

    Steven Siro Vai (Carle Place, 6 de junio de 1960) es un guitarrista, compositor, y productor musical estadounidense que ha vendido más de 15 millones de álbumes. Después de iniciar su carrera como transcriptor de música para Frank Zappa, Vai grabó y estuvo de gira en la banda de Zappa de 1980 a 1982. Comenzó su carrera como solista en 1983, tiene ocho álbumes en solitario y ha ganado tres premios Grammy. También ha grabado y realizado giras con Public Image Ltd, Alcatrazz, David Lee Roth y Whitesnake. Vai ha sido miembro regular del G3 tour que comenzó en 1995. En 1999, Vai comenzó su propio sello discográfico Favored Nations, con la intención de mostrar como él lo describe, "... a los artistas que han alcanzado el nivel de rendimiento más alto en sus instrumentos elegidos ". Ocupa el puesto n°10 de la lista los mejores guitarristas de todos los tiempos, publicada por la revista Guitar World.

      ***** I'll give you that !...the start of the 90s wasn't much different to the late 80s in terms of music and fashion. I did welcome the Grunge movement though it was a nice change....

    Nirvana is very much to blame for the end of the comercial corporative 80´s Rock. Everyone was into this.

      Can't blame Nirvana. People were sick of the over produced 80s Heavy Metal. They wanted a chance. If not for Nirvana, it would have been someone else. It was time for a change anyway.

      the SYMBIOSIS of which I am talking about is that Kurt Cobain (lead guitar and lead Vocal, also composer) in Nirvana, never would agree to play (guitar obvius) like this metal heads and all this metal fanzee.
