LOONA is a 12 member k-pop group who is incredibly talented and unique. When Loona first started they had this amazing project where they would debut a single member every month with a Solo MV. The First girl to debut was Heejin in October of 2016. LOONA's members are also put into sub-units that have their own MV'S and Albums. LOONA has 3 sub-units which are LOONA 1/3 that consists of 4 members, ODD EYE CIRCLE consists of 3, and YYXY consists of 4. The 4th member to join LOONA, Yeojin wasn't put into a subunit because she was too young at the time, and had to focus on school (She is represented as the "/" in LOONA 1/3). Each member of Loona also has their own Color and Animal. Yes Loona also has a story and it's called the LOONAVERSE! Loona has 12 members and their Korean name means girl of the month, this is because each girl was revealed one by one with solo songs each and each being in a sub unit except for yeojin. I would recommend watching their solos in order as it will help you get into them and get their names. They have a universe called the Loonaverse that spans over every MV and some of their teasers. They don't have any official positions and they are all so talented. I would also recommend checking out their covers because they are iconic.

Their storyline is long and extremely interesting… their storyline goes all the way back to PRE-DEBUT, each member got introduced every month by having a solo debut before actually debuting as loona with 12 members, their storyline all connects from each members solo debut and this comeback is also part of the storyline including all of their music videos, its definitely a big trip and something very new for people who are getting into loona but its well worth watching and learning about the loonaverse:) Definitely the most unique group in terms of their story.

Welcome to LOONA! You’re gonna love it. There’s so so much to cover. Without even getting into the lore there’s solo MV’s for every member. MV’s for the 3 subunits. And 7 (counting this one) big MV’s/title tracks with the full (or almost full) group. Their first group MV and pre debut song Favorite is more of a dance number to show off the group working as a whole for the first time. Hi-High is the actual debut track. It’s pretty generic to appeal to a mass audience. Butterfly is not to be missed, but you have to see a choreography video for it. The MV skips all the good stuff. So What and Why Not? are more hard hitting and great songs. Star is an English ‘version’ of their b-side voice and it has a lovely MV. imo, Loona are known for three things. Their amazing choreos, their dense loonaverse and their versatility. That means, not a lot of songs sound like PTT, though they've been leaning on the badass concept for the past few title tracks, but on the other hand, you're more than likely to find songs you'll enjoy. As for the dancing, I can't recommend enough watching their dance practices, especially for Cherry Bomb, which has become somewhat iconic. And if you wanna go into the Loonaverse lore, there's more than enough helpful videos on youtube about it, though I highly recommend those by hidye1, they're very helpful for baby orbits :)
Just to give a bit of some backstory the leader of Loona, Haseul, just recently came back after a whopping 2 years of being on hiatus due to mental health concerns, the last comeback she partook in was “Butterfly” which was yet again around 2 years ago, thankfully shes back and healthy and doing amazing. Its her first comeback being on the stage after a long time so this is special for not only the members but also the fans:) This is haseul *2:03* *6:16* “All of them are so powerful but shes cute” lol good eye, thats Yeojin, shes the maknae of the group and shes really tiny compared to the members and shes so adorable! But like you mentioned about them seeming to be really good dancers you’re 100% right about that, Loona is considered one of the best groups in terms of dancing, they do a lot of covers and just absolutely execute everything everything they do, their dance line is so powerful as well as their vocal line, Loona is just all-rounder group and worth taking time to get to know them, plus they’re so funny and have amazing personalities:)
