The recipe is off on some many things after baking it. 1) Most recipes didn't call for baking soda, this may be one of the reasons the biscuits crack. 2) Temperature is too high that may also cause the biscuits to crack. May be the reasons also for it to turn hard even after keeping for more than 2 days. 3) Colour of biscuits looks the same in the video before and after brushing with eggs and baking it. 4) Recipe call for 30mins rest while many others called for at least 2hrs. Dough is still sticky after 30mins rest simply not suitable to work with. 5) Biscuits remains hard after more than 2days of resting. Only thing is the taste is good and the salt added to the egg brush makes the biscuits less bland.
Altho very pretty , thats not mooncake. Only fish bread/ biscuit. Its not even round. Plus , mooncake has outer layer & super thick fillings. Usually gross/ very oily & very dense & gets stuck in the throat & going nowhere😸😸😱
