- I thought it was about time I wrote a Tubbo song.
I was trying to think of what aspect to cover of Tubbo's character/story in the song. Instantly, my mind went to the recent events of when Wilbur and Tubbo had that conversation by the ruins of L'Manberg. Tubbo spoke about forgiving Wilbur but not being ready to trust him yet. I thought that was a good topic to write about; a relatable struggle a lot of us have probably gone through. So that's how I decided to write this! I hope you enjoy!

I love how in just the little snippet this song is based on gave so much insight on c!Tubbo and c!Wilbur's relationship. It always seemed like "Tommy and Wilbur, Wilbur and Tommy" but Tubbo was there, too.

the reason why there was always "tommy and wilbur" is because of their wholesome relationship as well, wilbur and tubbo's relationship are like really close close friends but then tommy and wilbur's relationship is like a strong brotherly relationship, so fans always talk abouut it more than tubbo and wilbur. but nontheless this is an amazing song!
Oh! A small detail I hear is when he's singing of the fireworks and the festival, there's sounds of fireworks in the background and I think that just makes it even more moving and emotional to me
Forgiveness is one of the most difficult thing that an person could gave to someone and this song perfectly capture it.

This - this hits hard. I was never really taught what an apology was when I was little, so when someone said sorry I accepted, trusted, and moved on. Eventually I grew to fall victim to more people like them, and I had to learn this on my own to get out. I left a school for a year and came back to the same people, but they were surprised when I'd came back and learned that forgiveness and trust aren't the same, and that sorry means nothing if you don't actually mean it. Gosh, how I'd love to meet them now, whether they were the same or not, either to firmly deny their manipulation and guilt trips (which I've become fairly immune to at this point, at least the ones they used) or to see if there's a way to help them if they've changed or are having trouble changing. I don't know. Although this song may have helped me do something I haven't been able to for a long time, forgive my great aunt and uncle for how they treated me when I was living with them, especially around the time Nana died (not the way they acted, the fact that they didn't let me feel), but with the reminder that forgiving and trusting are very different, perhaps now I can. So if you somehow made it through that scattered ramble, thank you.

i don’t trust easily, this is partially why since I also have other reasons
I feel for Tubbo's character a lot during season three, not because of sympathy for him and everything he has gone through, but how his story right now really hits close to home with something that happened to me with an old friend. They did horrible things to my other friends and constantly made me feel alone, more than I could ever make myself feel alone. And it hurts me every night to think about. Kind of like Tubbo's and Wilbur's relationship. And while I still forgive them a little bit, I can never trust anyone like them ever again. So thank you Amanda for giving me an anthem for me to sing and feel for. I'm going to make sure everyone else who was affected by this person's actions hears this. Because you deserve more recognition for not only telling tales of Minecraft UA-camr roleplays, but telling the stories of those who don't have the courage to write it themselves.

Bro I feel you there, my 'friend' spread rumors of himself and a girl at school, all lies, and I'd made the difficult decision to stand up against him to do the right thing, and he despised and hated me for years, although he pretended to be all cool with me. And 2 years later, he tried to doxx me on the internet, and I blocked him and took action to stop him.... he came back (long story) and he seems very changed now, but.... I forgive him, but I don't trust him nor am I ready to be friends again. This song struck so deep with me, I'm thinking of even making a lyre cover of it and sending it to him, if that's allowed, but this song is now my favorite (:
THIS IS BEAUTIFUL, this shows Tubbos current relationship with Wilbur really well, I just love Tubbo is actually kinda opening up about what he felt during all those traumatic events (that child has been through shit-)
Wilbur has really done some messed up shit that effected others and himself and he's most likely acting like a friend cause he doesn't want to be isolated again in that train station

I couldn’t listen to it for a while, because I was busy, but damn.

You didn’t just knock it out of the park, you knocked it out of the freaking stratosphere.
When I heard the fireworks, I almost started crying. It’s so impactful, especially since Tommy and Ranboo’s trauma gets more attention than Tubbo’s.
Seriously, it does show he’s moving on from Wilbur not choosing to save him, but not completely letting him off the hook and that is so realistic.

I've never realized that I missed on a big part of the lore. I always cried to songs when I never really knew what exactly they were about. Now that I've been catching up with the lore it hits a thousands times harder.
A bit unrelated, but people tend to forget that Wilbur Tubbo, canonically, are brothers through adoption. Phil found Tubbo in a box. Fundy and Michael are canonically considered cousins; Wilbur and Tubbo are brothers.

Only in some interpretations of the lore, because it's been said that Wilbur is Phil's only son. But in the last lore stream from Wilbur, he also used to to live and work in Utah. But Ghostbur remembers Tommy as a little kid, as a toddler. Wilbur said that "The DreamSMP has a tangential relationship with time and reality."
@@icemouse9 Well no, there was an entire stream where Fundy visited Michael and referred to him as his cousin and Phil referred himself as Michael's grandfather multiple times. But yes, Wilbur is Phil's only biological son

This is so good! It perfectly fits Tubbo's character currently, and makes me even more excited for how he'll progress in future. All the firework sounds around the part about his execution are such a good touch and just completes the song for me.
I´m watching the premier right now with actual tears in my eyes. Tubbos character is such a sad person and this song shows it in such a beautiful and sad way. I love this.

This whole idea of Tubbo being cautiously forgiving of Wilbur, not giving him his trust, is such a good message on how to set boundaries.
