For whatever reason, the humming parts make me imagine that there's a more upbeat, happier version of this song (that we never get to hear) in-universe that she's humming to herself to try and cheer herself up.
Slight Spoilers: I felt it was more of Fretia's humming than Lily, as the tune almost sounds like a lullaby a mother would sing or hum to comfort a child. Given what the game states about Fretia's feelings towards her clones, you could say that it is Fretia trying to comfort her daughter while the latter traverses through the kingdom.
This kind of give me a weird feeling of both feeling alright but knowing its not. Its like hugging a friend that you know you wont ever see again. Or that feeling of seeing a place, you used to go to, become something alien and a memory. Its the feeling and idea that its alright but things has and will change.
Funnily enough, that exactly the kind of feeling I have in my life right now (circumstances...) and this sounds so sad yet peaceful for some reason... as if it was inevitable but that's what needed to happen... the sadness is there, but perhaps there are other roads ahead, not that I know where I'm going.
At the end, and right at this moment, I really want to be by her side to comfort her It's painful seeing her bear that curse that torments her for the rest of her life The blight tortures her inside and outside What is her respite? I finished the game, like, a half hour ago, and came back here, to where I saw the name "Ender Lilies" for the first time, but didn't pay to much attention. So, days after, I saw a recomendation of a Mili's music and clicked on it. It was Bulbel, and I saw the name "Ender Lilies" again. I passed months wanting to play the game, now I accutally did, and I didn't expected that much for the game, honestly... I thought it would be a good game, I just played the game by the musics, but the lore tooke me... (plus i love julius, i passed one entire year to beat him)
I didn't struggle with him too terribly, but man I never was able to beat the final boss. I finally thought I killed him just to realize that he had a second form🤦 That was the end of me.
There is a 2 hours long Ender Lillies soundtrack video on UA-cam that I immediately put into my background music playlist. The soft tracks like this one help me to focus and think while alternate versions of these tracks that appear later in the video help me jump to action. I haven't really played the game or anything tho I plan to

Got this recommended. Looked the game up. Saw a little gameplay. Got reminded of Hollow Knight. Saw it's a metroidvania. Looked up a trophy guide (saw it's pretty hard). And that's is all I needed to decide to get the game. Once I have some money to spare I'm buying this.
A kind of sequel is coming out soon (you get an early access for a demo if you pre-purchase the game) and the returns are: seems to be better than the first one.
I just finished it a few weeks ago, about 24 hours for me, taking my time, doing what I can. The achievements are really NOT that hard, just empty out areas as you get abilities, and follow through with the correct order for the endings. The "hardest" achievement would probably be reaching level 100, really... and even that isn't a chore with the end-game mobs around. Beautiful game though, has its pros and cons compared to Hollow Knight. I definitely felt pain in Ender Lilies, but there's just something about the Hollow Knight that cuts deeper, maybe the perfect sync of the final battle with the song that's choreographed perfectly...

I don't know why I never thought to find something like this sooner, this game in particular has the most special place in my heart. My now ex and I, I streamed this entire game for them over the course of several days, and we cried together during the true ending scene as it played Mili - Bulbel. I still feel a tug every time I hear it, but I always loved this particular piece as well, the game just has so much beautiful melancholic music and I'd spend I can't tell how much time just sitting on the bench listening and taking in the atmosphere. Even my desktop background is of one of the bench areas where I'd been listening to the music. Thanks for this.
Heh, the benches might be my least favorite parts of the game... because in Save rooms, they play alternate versions of the themes, with fewer instruments... this area, in particular, loses the humming, and that's just unclean! x)
The art is so... gritty.like a feel of dolefulness you want to get rid off but failed to do so.while you hopelessly get torn to pieces by the dreadful clenches of reality.the humming sounds made also represents an inxeplicable longing for something that was once present in the past.oh ah.. the past ,so.. beautiful like the dawning sun on the horizon inbetween the valleys.. ,i just want to hug the character in the art because i simply feel horrible for her,my urge to neutralize her burden literally went off the charts and its beautiful acrith its beautiful.. so beautiful i just want to cry instant sub,thank you for this intriguing yet gritty piece of art,i couldn,t express my whopeness of gratitude

For quite some time I have wanted to try this game, and hearing this music for the first time... becoming more and more interested. Such beautiful music. That, and it reminds me of when I was a kid, and I would visit Payson. Was always raining at some point at the local park/fishing pond/community center and the sky was a beautiful grey, reflecting onto the colors of everything else, with an older style of house made of wood planks with a V shape frame, de-saturated green-blue color with grey or white accent. I also remember that when there was a light anywhere it would even during the day be blindingly noticeable, and when you looked you could see so many different colors in the streaks of light that reflected onto the water and wet concrete so cleanly. Pure color fading into nothing with the trees and fields and mountains. And I would just sit there, under a Willow or in a bench, just sitting in my own warmth slowly drifting from the feeling of that radiating warmth that was more noticeable because of the cold rain, and its calming sounds. Thanks for this, I keep coming back to this video, and I keep getting reminded of that peaceful feeling, someday I hope to live somewhere where I get this feeling every day. Edit; after the changes of UA-cam, it makes this irritating a listen as when I enjoy the peace, ads interrupt consistently.
I use a chrome extension ad blocker, and it always skips over every ad without a sound! Without it, I would always be rudely awoken from naps or studying from obnoxious ads, ugh! Pity there's no way for that trick on mobile :{

Was always raining at some point at the local park/fishing pond/community center and the sky was a beautiful grey, reflecting onto the colors of everything else, with an older style of house made of wood planks with a V shape frame, de-saturated green-blue color with grey or white accent. I also remember that when there was a light anywhere it would even during the day be blindingly noticeable, and when you looked you could see so many different colors in the streaks of light that reflected onto the water and wet concrete so cleanly. Pure color fading into nothing with the trees and fields and mountains. And I would just sit there, under a Willow or in a bench, just sitting in my own warmth slowly drifting from the feeling of that radiating warmth that was more noticeable because of the cold rain, and its calming sounds. Thanks for this, I keep coming back to this video, and I keep getting reminded of that peaceful feeling, someday I hope to live somewhere where I get this feeling every day.
Edit; after the changes of UA-cam, it makes this irritating a listen as when I enjoy the peace, ads interrupt consistently.

I use a chrome extension ad blocker, and it always skips over every ad without a sound! Without it, I would always be rudely awoken from naps or studying from obnoxious ads, ugh! Pity there's no way for that trick on mobile :{
