- ZIERLER PROJECTS - MATRIX I - "Aggrezzor" guitar solo teaser
Zierler Projects are:
Finn Zierler: keyboards
Per Nilsson: guitars, bass and backing vocals
Bobby Jarzombek: drums
Kelly Carpenter: lead and backing vocals
Truls Haugen: lead and backing vocals
brilliant solo...
Yes it is
it's not the final mix, this is just a quick work-in-progress mix that I did
All my leads on the Holographic Universe are played through the bridge pickup! :)
Nice pinky tapping!!! I've watched this video at least 50 times now, so clean
I totally missed the pinky tap until seeing your comment! I can only imagine the hours of practice to get that tone.
Peter Muller it's not that hard man
A A post a vid then if it's not that hard
God damn badass!
Per is a beast!
Damn, I can't wait for the release.
Idk how to play guitar but your playing makes me wanna learn! I'd never be able to describe how it's made me feel through a single UA-cam comment. Thank you.
As usual, your phrasing is just out of this world.
Talent!
Thanks for the reply man. Definitely putting this to work.
that is a beautiful guitar
Fantastic!!!!
Amazing, i cant wait !!!
Nothing short of amazing!
Awesome man:) keep up the nice work
I rarely use modulation effects but when I do it's usually a phaser - like in this video! makes the tone super silky smooth :)
How do you set your phaser?
@@TylercorrellI set my phaser to stun
@@ScarGuitar 🖖
@@ScarGuitar at first, I did lose my shit over that response 😂well played
Seems like you're using the phaser a lot more in recent years :)
Just waiting for your guitar messenger DVD...Per u are the man! I Love your solos :)
The most important is to have great tone right out of your fingers - and that's a very subjective thing of course. After that, you've got a whole chain of components that influence the end result: the guitar with all its variables (strings, pickups, hardware, woods etc), cables, pedals, amplifier, fx loop, cabinet, and if you're also recording it makes a world of difference what kind of mic and preamp you use, and how you place the mic... and after that you can do post-processing.
Thanks man! I'm always up for a good jam :)
Big thanks :)
very clean
Man this is killer playing.
Those scales are my favorite
Love ur stuff bro..so inspirational ..arrggh
it's not the same line-up as in Beyond Twilight - it's the first one of (possibly) a series of "Zierler Projects" which might or might not feature different line-ups for every new iteration.
damn, i absolutely can't wait for this album, i can never get over your tone and note choice and phrasing. cant wait to see your AMA in a few days as well! have you ever thought of doing a solo album? im convinced that would simply destroy the world from too much awesome.
you are a GOD!!!!
just found out about you dude. you're an amazing player. most inspirational and tasteful
Thanks for your answer! :)
More please.
One of my all time favorites! I'll just never be here. That sneaky pinky. Going back to Weezer or Nirvana to make me feel better.
yes I've had plenty of formal training as well as learning stuff on my own, from reading books on music theory, learning solos by ear, reading music
Coolt med Bobby J i bandet, detta kommer att bli spännande!
nope, no minor harmonic. the chord progression is:
I major - where I play mixolydian
bVII major - lydian
bIII major - ionian
bII major - lydian
that holographic universe feel
yes I do! don't tell anyone though
Smooth and rippin! I play with Bobby J too w/Baz. Thumbs up bro. Love to jam someday. Scar Symmetry is badass!!
It's been driving me crazy, Per. What is the tuning and gear used for this album? This album blew my mind and the entire lineup was perfect. It's like Outworld 2.0. Hope you guys make another album sometime in the near future.
Still incredible playing really. Do you often use your pinky to tab with also? I myself would find it really hard as at the moment I don't have that strenght and precision in it yet.
Nice guitar
great phrasing man
I don't really have any favourite scales, but the ones I use the most are the major scale and all its modes, harmonic and melodic minor and some of their modes, the 3rd and 4th mode of harmonic major are incredible sounding scales... Symmetrical diminished and symmetrical major are also pretty cool but more far-out sounding...
yeah I've studied jazz theory quite a bit, and played a bit of jazz/fusion. I haven't really listened to Django though, so I guess those licks came from somewhere else... :)
I really like this solo. Is this a minor harmonic scale?
Cheers!
Per... the time I've been listening to you in SS and Kaipa is just phenomenal how your playing is so unique... when the Zierler Projects line-up was finally revealed I almost shit my pants :D you are incredible dude... I bet working with Finn must be amazing... by the way... can you tell me what are your favorite scales and modes to play with? cheers from Ecuador my friend and good luck in everything, I can wait for the release...
Never fails to impress. Do you practice often Per? You seem to have some new licks to show off every time. I am a theory dolt... But I can still ask, what kinds of scales do you play around with the most?!
That would be fun. Dont get to jam enough, ha ha. We will have to get together maybe have Bobby rock the kit. Cheers! Love it. I am doing a solo record and would love to have ya blow some guitar with me. I will get your info from Bobby. ROCK!
i always wanted to learn guitar and this video finally convinced me to do it.
now my question: what is the best way to start? should i get a guitar teacher (even if it is only someone who doesn't teach stuff like his?), or should i try it with one of the many lessons on some websites? or anything else?
Great Solo !
Did you play jazz a lot ? Some of your licks reminds me a lot of Django's stuff.
You're one of my favorite guitarplayers. Waiting for your releases.
I have a little question. Do you use neck or bridge pickup in the [Scar Symmetry] Ghost Prototype I - Measurement Of Thought on 2:42 in this passage? I had a hot discussion with my friend and he thinks that it's neck pickup and I think it's a bridge pickup. Can you judge us with this? Thanks
nice solo man! i wonder which gear you are using? your sound is always very unique :)
Imagine playing that in a guitar store, there would be heads peeking over all the isles and it would be complete silence 😂
I pretty much never practice nowadays. I noodle around every now and then but that's it.
I don't really have any favourite scales, but the ones I use the most are the major scale and all its modes, harmonic and melodic minor and some of their modes, the 3rd and 4th mode of harmonic major are incredible sounding scales... Symmetrical diminished and symmetrical major are also pretty cool but more far-out sounding...
yeah I tap with my pinky sometimes, it takes some practice to get some strength and precision, I'm not really there yet but it works with some types of licks :)
Is this out now? Struggling to find information newer than 2013, has it been scrapped/cancelled or what ?
Huge fan Per! I have a question, what are the key components for building a lead tone in your oppinion? Delay, compression, reverb ect.... I feel like my solo tone is almost "great" but right now I feel it's missing something.... By the way I was blown away by your ScarGuitar DVD!
the only reason I use it live is if I think my lead sound is too harsh sounding, then I might use it for some parts
yes find yourself a good teacher, that might save you a lot of trouble. spend a lot of time practicing (as opposed to just noodling around) using a metronome regularly. also make sure to spend time not practicing but noodling around, playing along to albums, get a band together. practice hard and have fun!
Reminds me of galaga, fuckin' awsome.
Hey per did you ever attend any music schools?
the really impressive part is that he was playing drums, bass, and rhythm guitar all at the same time.. there was no backing track!!
Here's my slow demonstration: ua-cam.com/video/z6f7JgSHpzM/v-deo.html
was ein zufall. gestern noch bei ehx die klampfe gesehen und verliebt. heute erstes youtbube video, schon wieder diese klampfe. könnt ausflippen
Kind've reminds me of Wardingham in a way
On a JEM?!
I'll help you on this. Go buy a decent guitar and amp from the start and just learn songs from tabs and get technique down then after about half a year or so of practicing everyday you should start lessons so you get a good grasp on theory and rhythm. However if you've already started congrats and have lots of fun!
Nice, but this is such a tease!
yea NOT stupid alvestam fanboy, more like Jordan Rudess Feel, fuck yea
I hate the drum sounds :/
Vilket snyggt Namn...
