In this camping gear review, I wanted to talk about ALMOST perfect OneTigris Solo Homestead TC Hot tent and see if I could make this into a perfect tent by weathering the tent. And I will go over the specs and my experience with this tent so you can decided if this tent is the right tent for you.

You do realize the doors are on on both sides so if you use the other door your windows would be forward. Just saying....LOL Great videos you have a new subscriber! Keep up the great work and love that you have gear list that's actually usable and not discontinued links!
Thanks for your feedback and subbing~ I appreciate that. and yes, I do realize there are two doors lol but the only issue is the stove jack is on the same side as the windows so that is why I wished the windows were on the opposite side of the stove jack.
Well Done Sir! I bought this tent when it first came out in the US and there weren't hardly any reviews. And there still isn't!! But I love this tent just like you! I have not had this out in any significant rain but I think I am going to set it up and weather it like you did. New subscriber here from Buffalo NY area. Jeff

@@ChasingAdventuresCO I forgot to mention something! I agree that it is almost perfect! But my almost would be the lack of a zippered door on one end of the tent. I LOVE the large awning doors on the main body but a smaller door on one or both ends would be awesome!!
Great review, I’ll be curious to know how you modified the chimney stack hole to suit your needs. This set up along with the canopy over the tailgate looks great. Kudos.
Thank you! I purchased uncut stove jack with velcro, velcroed it to the existing stove jack and cut my own holes to fit my stove pipe. When I use the tent again in the winter time, I'll show it.

Maybe buy a roofing flange for the stove jack
maybe, but I don't think adding anything heavy to the roof would be ideal.

no problem and I was also considering Ares but the reason why I went with OneTigris is that it has a bug screen all around and it is a bigger tent. but I think most of the TC fabric tent needs weathering. try it out and let me know.

Hi, nice tent! Will it fit two cots if you use a stove?
It might be super tight but I think you can if you put it in an L shape around the fire pit.
I bought this tent 2 years ago, from Amazon. I just today, for the first time took the tent out of the sack. It did not come with a floor insert, but the seams appear to be sealed with some kind of sealant...glue or tape. Is it possible that my tent is already waterproofed OR should I follow the same procedure that you described above to waterproof the tent? PS...my tent does not have a stove pipe hole.
sounds like you got the non TC fabric. they have two different variant. one with TC Fabric which I have thats over 300 dollars and one with the nylon version which is around mid 200 dollars. the nylon one has better water proof rating so you don't need to weather it.
@@ChasingAdventuresCO You might be right. I just looked it up....nowhere does it say "TC"...it's 750D ripstop nylon...the waterproof rating is 1500mm. I just looked it up...the same tent that I bought on Amazon 2 years ago is for sale right now on the OneTigris website for $174.99. It does not mention TC.
