Imagine a flash flood in the middle of the night... For all you watching this: The design is good. The location is deadly. NEVER camp in a dry creek bed. It doesn't take much rain to fill it up and turn it into a raging torrent.
That is a hexagonal clay water pipe, currently manufactured by K. Lyons pottery in Australia, but available widely as recycled building materials, but I don’t know who has ever made them historically or where. Clay water pipes are one of the more long lasting building materials, have been in production since the 1700s, and can provide service for over a hundred years. Considering that there looks to be some sort of abandoned water flow or drainage trench near there, this find would make sense to me as being legit.
This man had nearly 20 million views in the past 45 days on 3 videos, but still has less than 300k followers?!? The math ain't mathing. All these compliments about how pure & wholesome his content is and how talented his building & video editing skills are... Help him build his following! If 10% of the ppl who watched any one of his videos subscribed, (even accounting for the possibility of repeat watchers) he'd have over a million subs by now. Good luck, my guy! I hope your hard work pays off!
I will correct you a bit on the pipe. It's ceramic, and atleast were i live, since it's mostly marshlands, in 1800 or 1900 goverment installed those pipes in swampy lands, to drain them, and turn em into fertile land for producing crops... So even now, while digging randomly in your backyard, we still find those pipes around. So in hindside it's leggit. Though diging up a place to stay, next to a drainage ditch... Ballsy i'll give him that, you would never see me digging up a drainage ditch, were all the water ends up... he's going to sink his own work...

If it's not there you could do some troubleshooting to figure out why it's missing from your view so it can be added. It'll help in the future.

I find it hard to take the garbage bin to the front kerb for council pick up. This amount of work is beyond my comprehension. Did the ancient people work this hard? Amazing. Didn't they have time to relax and chill. Have a few beers. This poor fellow dug that pit in 3 minutes. Superhuman strength. I'm going to get another beer and watch the rest.
it honestly doesn't look that hard. just cutting small branches with a saw, digging some sandy soil up, tying branches together, the bending iscool. not saying its not impressive just saying it is doable.

I am not sure this is a good place for this shelter, because there is a river path there. As for the big pile of sand he used to build the shelter, I am pretty much sure it is the sand left from someone's work to either clear the water path or make it bigger.

Nice little dugout. Just remember that in hilly/mountainous terrain, dry washes like this that are usually dry may seem safe - but they are dry 99% of the time because they only become part of the watershed during a flash flood. It only takes one case of misjudging the weather for a cozy bunk carved into a spoil heap to become a soggy grave 😞

Land reclamation work was carried out in this area 50-60 years ago to drain the marshy soil. And such artifacts are often found in this area.
