If you're brand new to RC and don't have a transmitter yet, I could see the appeal of this, but man this thing looks cheap. I think RadioMaster is ultimately going to win in this gamepad style matchup.
I think the regular Jumper T Lite made alot of headway and this is going to be a step above especially in a month or so when they install the express elrs as part of the internal source instead of having it be external. It's going to be a game changer I think and I know from my Jumper T Lite that it doesn't feel cheap and I'm sure this one will feel even better. No way will this lose to radiomaster.
real simple.. are you taking the P? 5 days iv been at it both updated & binded i set buttons & sounds from this vid now i have sintax error on mix ch sa WHEN USING WIZARD THERES NOTHING ON THAT BUTTION
Hi, I bought that same pack but I can't get the bars to move in BetaFlight. I have flashed RX and TX with ELRS Companion and when I want to load the files with OpenTX it tells me that it is incompatible. Could you do a tutorial installing the RX in any drone? I have an inoperative drone because I'm waiting to install the RX and get it working....
So I am trying to set this up and when it got to putting the sound track on, it said that there were no sounds on the SD. And I went and checked on my computer and it had a while sounds folder. Please if you could help that would be great. Also very nice tutorial so far!
All 4 in 1 and ELRS radios use an OPEN TX or EDGE TX software. That software has to find the sound files in a particular directory. If they are on the micro SD card but in the wrong directory, it can't find them.
It is a nice video, thank you.. I want to ask a question about failsafe... On my jumper t pro (ELRS version with 3 receivers)I couldnt find the failsafe settings menu. It has to be On model setup menu/ Internal RF/ Failsafe .. but It doesnt exist. How can I solve the problem..

Hi Steve, Thanks for the video's. I'm looking to get into FPV flying. (cinewoops)😎😎 My idea is to start first with the Jumper T-PRO RC to practice on simulators and for later to fly with it. Then, buy the DJI Goggles Integra before buying cinewoop drone with Ocusync 3. Do you think this is a right approach to start?🤔? thanks!
Newbie question! This controller will not connect with an ELRS drone without the additional module attached to the back? That seems a little clunky if I'm just looking for an ELRS controller. Thanks!
Hi I was looking to buy the novice 3 kit that reviewed last week but banggood don’t ship any ready to fly kits to the UK 🇬🇧 for logistics reasons. I can buy thing separately so looking to get jumper t pro controller. What drone battery charger and Goggles would make a good investment for a beginner. I know you are a busy man but would love to hear a reply. Thanks great channel love the reviews.

@@CAPTAINDRONE798 I checked your video but it seems that the seller provided me an incorrect item, I can't seems to find any ELRS option in my remote. Ohh! well, might be sending this back.
@@zenargaming1257 Are you sure you watched my video? The answer is right in front of you but you are not pressing the correct button and it may be to complicated for you at this time. It is a very simple process and eventually you’ll figure it out (everyone in the FPV hobby had to figure it out).
I bought jumper t pro with cinewhoop 3" drone from someone. transmitter binded to drone already. every function works flawlessly in the drone side and transmitter side. it flies, button, gimbals active, simulator works. But... if you plug the drone with usb cable to betaflight, transmitter does not respond any signal. Its like drone thinks transmitter power is off. My other 5 inch drone and flysky i6 transmitter works without problem. It is interesting situation. Maybe betaflight version is not compatible with jumper t pro.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 Thank you for your reply. There is one micro usb plug in the flight controllers as far as i know. So yes its plugged to the right port and sure it is lipo attached. Maybe I just need to power up the controller first before I plugged the drone via usb. I am the flysky guy. I am really not familiar with this remote ☺️
I found my problem and as well as solution; If I power up jumper t pro first, give the drone lipo power, wait they are connected to each other and plug in the usb cable to flight controller, I see the transmitter connected in Betaflight. If I connect the drone to pc with usb cable first, then drone does not accept the transmitter anymore. Interesting situation. Other transmitters and receivers instantly communicate no matter usb cable connected or not.
I just bought the jumper t-pro with built-in ELRS... mine already has the latch button on the back the SD card in it and sound already mine says Edge TX when I turn it on. is that different than open TX? I guess for some reason they updated mine and sent it with a memory card..

And if I do, which receiver should I use?
Normally NO, only one receive is connected at anyone time so that you don’t accidentally fly your friends drone unexpectedly . However with some receivers (cheap 3rd party ones) they get sloppy and can connect to a signal so more than one is in use
Great review, ive been contemplating getting one of these as a 2nd controller. Think i will now. I'm curious which sim you were using? Was that liftoff? Graphics looked much better then my velocidrone sim
I just tried binding elrs . No bind . So i tried an r9m . The tpro has r9m in the setup but the r9m instructions don't match what the jumper setup says or does . I tried holding the rx button and plugging in the battery and put jumper in bind and press the roller knob and selected 8 ch no telemetry and press the roller knob again and it chirps like an frsky bind noise . But nothing binds .
All is well with your radio. ELRS binding requires that the receiver and radio are on the same firmware. I assume you have an ELRS module attached to the rear of your T-PRO. R9M... never tried it. But binding to receivers other than ELRS is usually much simpler as the firmwares do not need to match. Your must be new at this which can be daunting for beginners.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 I managed to bind a crossfire rx instead . The tbs crsf micro will bind to a new unused crsf nano without lua script or computers or flashing or firmware upgrades or matching rx's or buying more computer parts to finish making 💤💤😴
I got the built in ELRS version which looks from the images it comes with the usual T antenna, please tell me I don't need to open it and buy another antenna to put in it????
Xm+ sucks! I would never tell anybody to get xm+ due to the close proximity failsafe. You can't arm with your radio too close or fly close to yourself indoors with small ducted whoops. I hate doing benchwork that requires the radio be connected with xm+. Ever had to check motor direction with your toe? I would also say that elrs is super easy too. Not as user friendly as frsky, but not too hard and well worth it when your comparing the performance/price ratio.
Hello, i am planning to buy a flywoo firefly hd fpv. and i dont know witch controller i will buy, somehow the goggles i choose is dji. but i have a tight budget for choosing a controller, can you make a suggestion which one should i buy?! thank you very much
If you need a BIG screen then you want something by RADIOMASTER. If not, then pick anyone and you'll be happy. You just have decide if you want a 4 in 1 chip model or an ELRS model.
Is it the same setup for the internal ELRS controller and binding to a Jumper 2.4ghz ELRS AION-RX-MINI RX? Im new to this hardware. In the old days we had a crystal in the control and receiver lol
@CAPTAIN DRONE I have watched your video and created an arm switch but the problem is that when the switch is down BF sees it as high, than in the middle is sees it as low, and also for the up position. Seems inverted I have set the switch for 2 way in the control settings but it always uses the middle of the switch to change values in BF. I want use it as a 2 way switch, like down is a low value, and up is high value without the middle of the switch changing any value. How can we do that?
I have a quick question. In your experience, if one is new to the hobby (I don’t have a controller) and is left handed which mode of controller should one get? In other words, should the dominant hand control the throttle or should it control the other stick? Which is easier?
It is 100% up to you. The modes of a controller concerning what side the throttle joystick is on has nothing to do with right handed vs left handed people.
Watch again, it was Horizon, Angle, Acro. Acro means there are no restrictions and that is the default for all FPV drones, so this is why there is no option in Betaflight to select a mode called Acro. When the Modes Horizon and Angle are NOT SELECTED, then it means the drone is in ACRO.
Hello, this video is helpfull and helped me setup my T-Pro so thanks for that. I am just wondering if it is fine to use edge-tx firmware instead of the open-tx firmware. Thanks, would really appreciate it if anyone could share their thought regarding edgetx on jumper T-Pro
HI Steve i just receive My t PRo -i Order With ELRS module and receiver but they dont add me the receiver CAN you help me to Choose One GOod REceiver ?? for this Module ? the stock one they say can go up to 5 kmh THAnks Steve !!!!!!!
You can pick pretty much any ELRS receiver. Just make sure that it matches the frequency of your module (2.4 G or 915 MHZ). Then make certain your receiver and module are on the same ELRS firmware, and they will bind.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 thanks Steve I send you email with module check it if you can it doesn’t power on only when I Insert type c cable in module power on 😭😭.
So im confused , should i get the ELRS type without the back ELRS module backpart and still be able to use the 4 in 1 or do i have to buy the 4 in 1 and never update my future drones with ELRS receivers? im confused im a beginner sorry :D
If you get an ELRS controller, then that means you pretty much wish to only fly drones with an ELRS receiver. If you get a 4-in-1 controller, then that means you wish to fly drones with all types of receivers and then have the option of adding the ELRS module.

It is up to your personal tastes. I’m old school so I tend to use the large radios due to longer battery power and more switches I can customize (radios like Radiomaster TX16s and similar models)
hello, would it be the same to set-up a drone that does'nt have acro,i know i should be able to set-up for a bugs or mjxq since its in the list of suported protocols, the original controler stoped working so i'm getting a jumper t-pro so i can also get a freestyle quad later on,so the bugs original controller has one momentary button for arm disarm,a momentary button for high and low speed, and a momentary botton for 360 flips but i dont realy care about that one, thank you in advance for your time
So as you say this binds to hobby grade drones but the protocols have hubsan and bugs etc what does that mean? As I associate them with the likes of the bugs 16 pro etc
The list says it binds, but I've never tried it. It is using the same common chip similar to the JUMPER T18 and other multi protocol radios, so you may wish to see if there is a video on youtube with a radio using this chip.
Awesome video Steve! Thank you very much!!!! I ended up buying the controller today although the discount code is already expired. Nevertheless it was a great price for what it is. Thank you!
i have rc car with flysky gt3c radio, can i use the rx and bind to jumper t pro? or do u have any recommendation rx to connect jumper t pro to my rc car? thank you
Depending on the version of receiver (what type of flysky receiver is in your car... is it a unit that has a bind button or can be put into bind mode) it would most likely work because Flysky is one of the most common receivers on the planet and many radios work with it.
I did everything correct even added sounds to my channels. But when I save everything in Beta flight . Disconnect , turn off Kwad and Jumper t lite. When I turn it back on . The Model I took forever to create gets deleted back to MODEL # 1 etc.... Like the Controller reboots to factory settings when I turn it off. I tried again and I get the same results. Any idea whats wrong with my set up Capt> ?
You don’t set up sounds or models in Betaflight…. So I see where you’re messing the process up. You set up sounds and models in the radio and there is no SAVE button. When you create a model and give it a name every change you make is saved. BETAFLIGHT CONFIGURATOR is where you configure the FLIGHT CONTROLLER in whichever drone you bought, to react to the switches/buttons on whichever radio you have used to BIND to the receiver (whichever type it may be) that is in the drone.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 I didnt create sounds in Beta flight. Did it in Jumper T lite page 10 I believe after setting Channels and used the sounds in the SD card built in. Just like in your video. I did everything perfect like in your video. Step by step. Works perfect. Its after all settings are saved in Beta Flight, Disconnect to it, Power off drone and controller where the problem starts. Again, when I turn on controller. The Model I named and created turns back into its original name " Model #1 " Like the Controller reset itself clean with all the work I did :(
@@rhysezfpvif you created something like 100 different models, you then select the one you want. Push in the select button when your on the model page.
I bought the elrs version of this jumper t pro I thought I can bind it to my armor 65 lite that uses bayang protocol but it is not working at all.. I've heard I need to buy a multiprotocol for it, is it true? Is this jumper elrs not multiprotocol already? Please help me understand this...
ELRS is always only ELRS, so if what you are attempting to bind to is not ELRS then it will never bind. You sound very new to the RC hobby which means that even if you purchased the 4-in-1 version you’d still have difficulty binding the radio to your drone. What I mean is that you need to do research on how to setup a model in the radio, as well you need to know what receiver is in your drone & how to bind to it, and then how to use BETAFLIGHT for configuration.

Momentary switches are actually useful for FPV. They can be used as prearm switches to have an additional safety measure.

Very great video! i just followed the steps and everything was great! i just got a problem: when i check on BF in the "receiver" menu, Roll Pitch Yaw and Throttle are mixed and is a mess. For example: the Throttle stick on the radio makes move the pitch on BF, and the Throttle on BF is actually moved by the Roll stick on the radio...any suggestion on how to solve the problem? many thanks! this has never happened to me before, and both drone (moblite7) and the jumper t pro are new, so i can't understand which one is faulty...

No way will this lose to radiomaster.
lol weird. i feel like the radiomaster looks like a toy. to each their own though.

How to connect Happymodel Cine8 Frsky SPI D8 RX?
🥰🥰🥰🥰I have been asking about the drone sir
Is a review of the radiomaster zorro on the horizon?
Once it is released, yes.
Great video, but does anybody know if you absolutely need a computer to do this
you can use your phone to download the required files into the micro sd card.
Hmm I saw JB's video on this RC and he said you can use the shoulder buttons, how would you assign those in betaflight and bind them as well?
BETAFLIGHT is your answer for assigning the switches/buttons

Hi Steve,
Thanks for the video's.
I'm looking to get into FPV flying. (cinewoops)😎😎
My idea is to start first with the Jumper T-PRO RC to practice on simulators and for later to fly with it.
Then, buy the DJI Goggles Integra before buying cinewoop drone with Ocusync 3.
Do you think this is a right approach to start?🤔? thanks!
All good except the part where you mention ocusync 3… that does not exist in the FPV world. Perhaps you meant DJI 03 Air unit.
Thanks Steve, yep, ...that's what I meant😔 - the DJI 03 Air unit.
Thanks for all the information you share, now i know were to start😎
Cool controller
Newbie question! This controller will not connect with an ELRS drone without the additional module attached to the back? That seems a little clunky if I'm just looking for an ELRS controller. Thanks!
Simply buy yourself an ELRS radio. JUMPER makes an ELRS version and so does RADIOMASTER
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 Perfect, thank you!
Hi I was looking to buy the novice 3 kit that reviewed last week but banggood don’t ship any ready to fly kits to the UK 🇬🇧 for logistics reasons. can you use spektrum receivers with this?
Spektrum receivers are supposed to work with the 4 in 1 module. Check the JUMPER website as they show what receivers are compatible.
Nice drone
Hi,
Do you have an instruction on how to connect this to an ELRS 2.4? thanks
Watch my review tutorial on how to setup and bind an ELRS drone using the Radiomaster POCKET. The procedure is almost identical.

Is the Frsky R XSR protocol supported?
Thank you
Should be since it is a 4 in 1 chip
I bought jumper t pro with cinewhoop 3" drone from someone. transmitter binded to drone already. every function works flawlessly in the drone side and transmitter side. it flies, button, gimbals active, simulator works. But... if you plug the drone with usb cable to betaflight, transmitter does not respond any signal. Its like drone thinks transmitter power is off. My other 5 inch drone and flysky i6 transmitter works without problem. It is interesting situation. Maybe betaflight version is not compatible with jumper t pro.
Are you certain you’re plugging into the correct port on the drone? And is a battery attached?
Other transmitters and receivers instantly communicate no matter usb cable connected or not.
good video thanks a lot
I just bought the jumper t-pro with built-in ELRS... mine already has the latch button on the back the SD card in it and sound already mine says Edge TX when I turn it on. is that different than open TX? I guess for some reason they updated mine and sent it with a memory card..
Yes, you have the version that came after the one in my review. Edge TX is newer than Open TX.
I have question will it connect to the Aton Traxxas drone ?
It does list Traxxas as a protocol. Not sure how you’d bind it since I’ve never used that drone.

Hi, which receivers are the 4 in 1 t pro compatible with? Do you have to buy external receivers midules? Thanks!
The website should have a list of all the compatible receivers.
I have jumper t pro elrs version transmitter but I want this transmetter to control two drone separately but it have 1 reciver and this reciver is not available in market then can i use radiomaster elrs and other elrs reciver connect with jumper t pro does its work ?Will it work? And if I do, which receiver should I use?
Normally NO, only one receive is connected at anyone time so that you don’t accidentally fly your friends drone unexpectedly . However with some receivers (cheap 3rd party ones) they get sloppy and can connect to a signal so more than one is in use
Great review, ive been contemplating getting one of these as a 2nd controller. Think i will now.
I'm curious which sim you were using?
Was that liftoff? Graphics looked much better then my velocidrone sim
I usually place a link to the SIM I use in vids. If I did in this vid, then it would be below the vid.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798
I managed to bind a crossfire rx instead .
No upgrade needed, it works out of the box.
I sit down on the diveway and plug it in and wait til the light goes green to fly . Im about a foot away from xm+ .
Model setup is the same. Only difference for ELRS is that for the receiver you normally select CRSF.
@CAPTAIN DRONE I have watched your video and created an arm switch but the problem is that when the switch is down BF sees it as high, than in the middle is sees it as low, and also for the up position. Seems inverted
I have set the switch for 2 way in the control settings but it always uses the middle of the switch to change values in BF.
I want use it as a 2 way switch, like down is a low value, and up is high value without the middle of the switch changing any value.
How can we do that?
Anyone know what protocol is used for the eachine boats like Eachine EBT02?
I have a quick question. In your experience, if one is new to the hobby (I don’t have a controller) and is left handed which mode of controller should one get? In other words, should the dominant hand control the throttle or should it control the other stick? Which is easier?
It is 100% up to you. The modes of a controller concerning what side the throttle joystick is on has nothing to do with right handed vs left handed people.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 Thank you. One last question, in your case, does your dominant hand control the throttle?
@@charlesaryan8306 Nope. For me I’m right handed and the throttle is on the left.

Ok so I bought the Jumper T-pro with built in ELRS. Does it still do all the other protocols?
Nope, I believe it should only do ELRS. Some ELRS radios also can do FRSKY D8 & D16 receivers, but not sure about the Jumper.
How do I make the acro mode? In your video it was only Arm , angle, and horizon
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 ahh gotcha, thank you so much for the explanation!

THAnks Steve !!!!!!!
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 Hey , I followed ur guide to were i can i have elrs one so a little differend. but in the modes i got everything setup like u do but ur arm disables with aux to the left but mine is completly to the right..

Can i use betafpv elrs nano tx module on jumper t pro
I’ve not tried it but yes it should work as long as you have the correct ELRS script and your radio is up to date.
i have rc car with flysky gt3c radio, can i use the rx and bind to jumper t pro? or do u have any recommendation rx to connect jumper t pro to my rc car? thank you
Depending on the version of receiver (what type of flysky receiver is in your car... is it a unit that has a bind button or can be put into bind mode) it would most likely work because Flysky is one of the most common receivers on the planet and many radios work with it.
