It is very hard for someone who does not have a computer programming background to stumble upon one of these solutions so I really appreciate you making videos like these!
Yep it is the same way Albert did :) Great minds think alike. It is also good idea to make a global "play track" for L2 switch, stating armed and disarmed.
I don't own this radio, however for those who do or who want one, this video and the product review video are incredibly crazy useful. For me, the video was fun to watch and helped me get an insight into some open tx stuff. The under the table parts and the dog scene were super funny.
Holy smokes what, I never scrolled that far down! I like that not only can you group the 6-pos how you like but you can also set their initial state on powerup. This is a ton more flexible than the old way, although maybe a little confusing for newbies. Glad we have you to learn them today.

Albert did the exact same thing, an AND on L01 and a sticky on L02. He just used MAX on the mixer instead of the value of L02, but that’s worse IMO because the channel goes to 0 instead of -100, which is not how a traditional 2POS switch works.
Just wanted to say thanks. using this video and an older one where you programmed your remote to fix max throttle using open TX, I was to do it on the Jumper tPro and I am an absolute newbie. I set to 75% max power and now I am not flying the drone off the walls in my house. very much appreciated.

Thanks for the great tutorial. I'm not sure i would want this radio, even with the fix. twice in many years of flying I have had to use disarm in an emergency to save someone else from serious harm. while i hope it never happens again, I'll never fly without a standard disarm procedure. if you need that switch in an emergency, you better not have to spend 1/10th of a second remembering which switch it is or how it works.
You're right. I use T Lite and as a beginner, I crash my whoop alot. If I start loosing control, I just flick SWC (Arm/Disarm), fast & easy. No property damage & human casualties so far 🤭.
I'm currently using 3.3 edge TX and I'm able to get momentary switches by changing to the "toggle" option that you address as being broken, which is odd because that's not usually how a toggle works but hey, free momentary switch I guess. (in the setup screen for the model)
Could also just use a sticky switch on one side and then use the other side normally as a pre-arm mode in Betaflight. Then there is no need to press two switches to disarm.
The more I see if these settings, even not using it I learn something... thanks

Great tutorial JB! I would love to see your review of Jumper T-Pro v2 😋 also have some question because on my v2 with EdgeTX preinstalled I cannot make arming/disarming mix work as on this video. On my controller it changes channel between 0 and 100 instead -100 100. Every step was done just like you did 😢
I have the v2. It has a serious issue with battery contacts. Knock it slightly on the front and it switches off. knock it harder, or drop it, and the 18650 cells become loose and rattle inside, the controller will not power on. I've fixed the issue on mine, but it was not something an average person would do.
Cool, I was already interested, but having lots of doubts because of the lack of the versatility of this transmitter simply due to the lack of … switches… flying helicopters, drones and airplanes, I need more options… more channels… Thanks to you, it seems possible to adapt and have switches for rates, flight modes, idle up 1 and 2, and securely arm and desarm… and buzzer 😎😎.. for that I need to be able to use properly and independently the 6 “function” buttons!!! Thanks a lot!! Bit of a headache though.. 😅😅😅
HI, chapter "A safer way to arm/disarm with the shoulder switches". It is possible to arm with both shoulder switches, and disarm with only one of the two switches?
Hi Joshua! Could you maybe take a look at the gimbal calibration on the Jumper T Pro? I like it a lot due to the design and size but I noticed that my gimbals cannot reach 100% at all corners after the calibration sequence. If I calibrate it in a way that the corners, which cannot get to 100% are saved as 100% then I lose resolution at the others which is not a big deal but it's kinda frustrating. I got two Jumper T Pros and both had it. It would be awesome if the AG01 Mini would also fit in the T Pro because the Zorro wouldn't be an option for me... :( Maybe some other experience similarly.
My biggest complaint with all the gamepad radios is the 1" screen. Im too old for a screen thats measured in decimals. the Zorro looks interesting. but Ideally (for me) it would come with crossfire built in and take an optional lite module.

the jumper t pro bricks itself. mine wont turn on even when i change the internal CR1220 battery. the button flashed blue like it tries once then dies after putting a new battery in. even when you put another new battery in. I use a momentary switch to arm and I decided to include a timer in the switch to arm/disarm, I have to press it for at least 0.5 seconds to arm and 0.2 seconds to disarm..
should set up another logical switch with OR, then use the that logical switch for disarming the sticky switch. So its double press for arm, and single press of either to disarm. I wouldnt want to have to thing about double pressing for disarming in an emergency
i just received my elrs version today and it came with a latching switch on the right shoulder like the mod kit they sell pre installed, im struggling to figure it out lol
Will the Happymodel ES24TX-LITE elrs module that is supposed to be for the Jumper t-lite work on the Jumper t-pro without taking apart the controller? Does it just plug in?

Worst case would be than a broken arming button during flying. You are than not able to disarm. Maybe a secound security thing is not wrong. Also when you let another person fly you are not able to disarm fast. Is this fixable with a replace if L02?
FIrmware that fixes the broken "toggle" setting is available here: we.tl/t-gKE9FMmona
Joshua Very nice solution, I will probably change my arming method to the one you discribed in this video!
to stretch 7 states over 200 means having 6 steps and therefore 200 has to be divided by 6 and not 7 which then results in a stepwidth of 33 which leads to this symmetrical row of values instead of ending at 80
-100 -66 -33 0 33 66 100

Could you combine a 3 pos switch to arm/disarm including flight mode selection? Like down is disarmed & airmode, center is armed & airmode, up is armed & angle mode? Would it cause problems with ELRS? I'm uncomfortable with this momentary solution when you need to quickly disarm for a reason...
Halo Joshua, could u please tell us how to backup the old radio setting to this stuff? I have problem with that, I cannot Backup my old opentx setting to this new T pro. it seems like Opentx companion cannot do that.
thanks !
I might be a bit late … but .. I just bought the jumper t pro (not the 1w internal) it comes with open tx…. How do I get edge tx on it ?
the jumper t pro bricks itself. mine wont turn on even when i change the internal CR1220 battery. the button flashed blue like it tries once then dies after putting a new battery in. even when you put another new battery in. Is it bricked? ugh it was already such a pain in the ass to get working to begin with and now after a few months it shits the bed. then your bricked radio video uses that impulse rc program which is for windows only and not mac :(
You could just set that first of the 6-position switches as arm/disarm, no? Then your index fingers won't be anywhere near it?

Hi, could you tell me how to do a factory reset? Tank you
I use a momentary switch to arm and I decided to include a timer in the switch to arm/disarm, I have to press it for at least 0.5 seconds to arm and 0.2 seconds to disarm..
How well does VelociDrone Combat work with these back buttons?
Should I get this or the radio master zorro? I need a cheap radio for drones
should set up another logical switch with OR, then use the that logical switch for disarming the sticky switch. So its double press for arm, and single press of either to disarm. I wouldnt want to have to thing about double pressing for disarming in an emergency
Could it be possible to have either one momentary shoulder button for disarm instead of having to press them together?
I am confused whether to buy the Jumper T Pro or the Radiomaster Tx12. Please help
i just received my elrs version today and it came with a latching switch on the right shoulder like the mod kit they sell pre installed, im struggling to figure it out lol
can jumper t pro with built in erls work with frsky like flash it very confused or have i got to buy other one please
Это полезно для меня. Спасибо!!!
I got this radio and it won’t boot up. It does the …. Then it just shows the sleep emoji? 😴 suggestions
What could the channel range be used for? well I mean what is it typically used for?
I assume it's not possible to set up from pc, right?
I think the only way to really fix this radio's design is some epoxy, a drill and a pair of 2 way switches :) I have no idea what Jumper was thinking
Will the Happymodel ES24TX-LITE elrs module that is supposed to be for the Jumper t-lite work on the Jumper t-pro without taking apart the controller? Does it just plug in?
Got a tough one for you Josh...How do you create voice for armed and disarmed with this arming method???Hope all is fine!!!
Base it on the status of the logical switch.
@@JoshuaBardwell did but pronanounces both armed and disarmed when arming!
Joshua I’m struggling to bind my radio to a r-xsr rx do you have any help?
Can i use external module TBS Crossfire Nano whit T-Pro ELRS (internal) version?
Never had an opentx tx but can you do all of this on a computer?
I can't connect to rx . can you help me
How do I unlock the full mw when flashing to the eu version?
For the dog!!.... Did he sign a consent form?? Learned something... Well not yet maybe after the third time I'll get it all
Who would have thought playing Minecraft would have taught me all the logic gates needed to understand how to program radios for FPV years later? An and gate, plus a t-flip-flop and you're off to the races. Also, I preordered the Zorro... why am I watching this video? lol
Be cool to make it work like Left Bumper -> Right Bumper Armed. Right Bumper -> Left Bumper Disarmed. So order matters.
Worst case would be than a broken arming button during flying. You are than not able to disarm. Maybe a secound security thing is not wrong. Also when you let another person fly you are not able to disarm fast. Is this fixable with a replace if L02?
I mean isn't that always true? If you have a single 2pos for arming, then if you break it while you fly, you can't disarm. Same situation.
@@JoshuaBardwell duh lol.
