I already have alpine 6.4 touch, screen, system in My Jeep Sahara. I just need to upgrade the sound bar. is that a better sound bar system or is that the same one I already have?
The explication was amazing and the product is perfect just wish you guys show the quality of the 2 front and rear factory camera in the robicon in the screen
I have a 2020 Gladiator Rubicon with the upgraded alpine (I think bc I have the sub behind the rear seat). I wanna know of I need/would be good idea to update with this system?
There was no mention of the two wire connections per location in the sound bar. Does this only utilize the connector for the Oem mid bass driver? What about if you wanted to utilize both channels of the factory amplifier, could the crossover and plug n play harness be bypassed?
Hi Jeff, sorry that was missed. It uses the smaller plug. In the non-amplified system these are intended for, both drivers (woofer/midrange) are run off the same channel. The premium system has active crossovers that make this kit incompatible without extra 3rd party parts to supply a full range signal. Hope this helps.
@@amitsabharwal2090 I’m not aware of whether Metra has a part that will give a full range signal from the factory radio or not. I can’t endorse a manufacturers part that we haven’t tested and evaluated ourselves, but there are a few out there.
@@colinvargo3418 Thank you, especially for the quick reply! I understand, and completely respect your position about not being able to endorse anything. As I'm new to this, I just dont even know where to begin my search. Would be great to get any guidance or pointed to what types of things to look for.
See the reply to JeffKashat below. Physically it fits and will play sound, but due to the way the factory amps crossovers send signal to the stock speakers, you’d be missing a chunk of midrange response.
I’d like to upgrade from 2 amps to one. What do you recommend? Currently 4 channel for 4 speakers and a 2 ch for the subs. Boston acoustics 6.5 50w rms and subs are pioneer shallow 10” 300rms each.
The most potent 5ch we make is the X-A90v. It has a ton of output and is Hi-Res capable (meaning it’s capable of extended frequency response). That would me my first choice. Our R-A90s six channel is convertible to a 5ch also. Make sure the final load of your subwoofers falls in the range for each amp.
These are decent speakers, however I hate how they look when installed. I ended up buying a 6x9 install kit which keeps the factory look. Not to mention a more powerful Alpine speaker with an aftermarket amp. Most importantly, it cost $100 cheaper !!
I bought these, they produce less bass than the stock 4.5 inch. And I feel they are overpriced, but there wasn't anything else out for the JL at the time I looked.
I think what he mean is he wasted his time cutting the hole out just to put in the speakers and the speakers are horrible. That’s what I get out of what he saying.
Bought the these upgrade speakers for my 2021 Jeep Rubicon. Sound is phenomenally better.
do you have a sub built into the bottom of ur trunk?

Installed one under the passenger front seat

@@colinvargo3418how would find the extra steps? Any help would be much appreciated
Would it be worth upgrading to these speakers if I don't plan on adding an amp?
My satalite radio stopped working after installing these, anyone else have that issue?

Currently using pdx-5 for door speakers but sub output is not working. Never worked

Can you describe what you bought ?
Hi I install the alpine and they blow up

I was almost ready to ignore Amazon reviews but so many awful ones I'm staying clear

Do you have the factory premium alpine system in your Jeep? If so, extra steps are needed for these to work properly.
Cutting, cringe
Amazon reviews say a waste of money and sound like cardboard !!!
Garbage... My god I cant believe I butchered my jeep to install these.
Were they really that bad?
@@build.drive.fish. Horribad.
Ok, if you butchered your Jeep to install these then you really didn't know what you were doing so can we really trust your review?
Thats a joke right? You literally have to make room for the new speakers. @@anthonythomas1794
