What I enjoyed about this video is not only the upgrade but how you kept it authentic when the bits broke you're showing a real process which all of us I guess can relate to
Nice video. I agree with you, leaving the sound bar in during installation is the way to go. I did the same thing you did, cut the dogleg slot / removing the boss. (I didn’t see your video prior to my install). I was able to fix it with the boss I cut out and the largest flat piece of plastic I cut out. I drilled a thru hole in it and JB Welded it back in.
What should I do? I just brought my 2022 Rubicon. I have the Alpine premium system in it. It's loud I can I get a louder sound? She I add a better sound bar?
I have an Alpine system and tried the new 6.5” and only got lows (used the larger plug). If I splice into the highs wires like the video says, will I still get the lows too? Eventually I will be putting in a 5 channel amp but I wanted to do this for a short term upgrade. Thanks!
@@brpauto7313 I wasn’t helped out yet. Will it just play the highs or will I get lows out of the speaker too? I don’t want to cut the highs plug off if the speaker won’t play as it should.
I know right? I think my uncles TJ had 6.5 maybe 5-1/4 on his soundbar. I really thought they were factory 6x9 because of the size of the chamber's in the sound bar. I got the Alpine 9-speaker system in my 23 2 door and was wondering where the extra 2 speakers were. I didn't know the soundbar had 2 speakers
We never use it on the soundbar. If you hear rattling, you might want to check the wires or loose screws on the speakers. We usually only Dynamat the area surrounding the subwoofer enclosure.
@B.Richhh yes but we're closed at the moment. We don't open till 10 Mountain Standard time. We're in Arizona. Make sure to leave a voicemail. We'll call you back.

A hot blade on a soldering iron will cleanly melt a cut right through the plastic.
Excellent point.
If you don’t have an alpine system, do you still need to splice the wire into the smaller tweeter connecter? Love your content btw!
Could you do a video for those who want to add an amp?

Anything on the new 2024 configuration roll bar?
Unfortunately, there's nothing available yet.
Maybe a workbench with a strap or something to secure the item would be helpful?
Would you have an upgrade to a 24’ sound bar with the upgraded alpine? The alpine sound bar is bad
Unfortunately we don't. No one has made one yet. We're working on it.

I have the Alpine system, too. I want to add more sound. I love the sound I have now, but I want it to be a little louder
@bolam32 if you splice into the other plug you should get the full range your looking for.
Which wires get tied together? Im doing the same@brpauto7313
Makes you wonder why Jeep didn't go 6.5" in first place.

Awesome video. Would a 3 way speaker work as well?
Yes it would.
What's the model of the speakers?
Exactly what I wanted to know too
Can I get the link to buy the kit?

Do you have a kit for 2014 JK?
You don't need the kit for a Jk. All you need is the speakers. We have those available for your Jeep.
2014 should have came out with 6.5
Would dynamat help imside the sound bar ?

I don't think it's designed by Alpine, I think Jeep paid Alpine for use of there name !!!
My 2013 did have 6.5 in the soundbar. I think they went to this crappy system in 2015
Yeah my uncles TJ had 6.5 in speakers
Looks good bro 👍🏽
Appreciate it
Be nice someone make one for a 6x9 speakers instead of 6 .5
We have them available for 6X9s also. They are on our website. We just haven't had a chance to make a video for them yet.

Very nice though, someday it will happen for me!
