I was a stay at Home mom with no money in my IRA or any savings of my own, which was scary at 53 years of age. Three years ago I got a part time job and save everything I make. After 3 years, I am 56 yo and have put $9,000 in an IRA and $40,000 in my portfolio with CFA, Mary Callahan Erdoes. I would add that it's not only about the willingness to face rejection and undergo continuous hardship, but it's about the 'quantity and variety of interaction'. Much of success comes from opportunity, being in the right place, at the right time, with the right people. It's about circumstance. Opportunity will present itself eventually when you generate enough experiences. Maybe that sounds obvious, but mere exposure is enough - it is then only a matter of time.

Resilience and grit are the simplest pieces of advice, but they are so hard to execute. It does get easier over time if you keep on trying.
Wealth isn't just monetary it can be just wealth in ones self, just a thought 👍
