So I always use makeup wipes. They work great and take off the color right away on forehead. I also part my hair and section in 4 quadrant. I do around the outer sides and in the squares and then go in with fine sections and keep flipping in each part. I then go in and do the rest. I do love this color.
I'm a stylist. I totally get why you do your grey at home. A quick tip, only put color on your roots until the last 5 minutes and then put on the ends to refresh. It doesn't matter with short hair, but as your hair gets longer, it will damage your ends. You are putting peroxide on top of peroxide EVERY time. 💕
this is a good tip...I have fine aging hair and color myself...I recently colored and I always start roots first..so I do 30 min total time. I did first 15min on root area...and put remainder of color on rest of hair for the last 15 min. with much better results. I found it seemed much gentler on the length of my hair and still covered my gray/roots.
My daughter 12 and I tried to fallow the directions from the box, you have made this so much more fun and easier to fallow. Thank you for the easy to do. My kid loves being the scientists.
Rub oil or vaseline on your ears and the skin on your hairline and neck, and then the color does'nt stain the skin! Easypeasy. If I wanted my hair as dark as yours. I wouldn't find a reason to go to the salon. I think the result is quite as good and just a crumble of the salonprice. I grew my hair out a couple of years ago. And dyed it dark at home. I just put dye on my roots, and let the color sit there until the last few minutes when I combed it through and covered the ends. This way the roots didn't go soothy and black. When I decided to go back to blonde (natural), it was a struggle for my hairdresser though😂. It took like four sessions in a year. And even though she was careful I had to cut off a lot of hair to make it remain healthylooking. Love you💕.
How awesome that you get to work with Garnier! I also have been going gray since high school, and even though I'm 33 I still have to color every 2 months and do it at home. And I've been using Garnier for years. I love it!! Enjoy your weekend!
I love watching your videos. You've got such a fun personality! I've been looking into possibly doing a burgundy shade in my hair. I have natural red undertones in my hair anyway, and thought it would go pretty well with my skin tone. I love that you said it covers grays nicely as this is a problem I do struggle with! I'm about to be 27 and have been dealing with grays since I was about 19! Gotta love genetics! 🙄🤦🏻♀️ This color looks absolutely BEAUTIFUL on you! It suites you so well. I think I may just bite the bullet and give it a try! 🙂
Thank you so much for posting this video. Given the current circumstances with COVID-19 all hair salons are closed in my state. I am way overdue for a color so I found your video to give me tips on how to do it myself. I have never colored my own hair before and after I watched your video I had the confidence to do it. I also used this exact shade. It came out amazing!!!! I love the purple, burgundy. It is very similar to what my stylist does however this seems to have a bit more purple which I loveeeee!!!!
You are gorgeous with or without the color. You have such a beautiful personality that is vibrant. It's like when you see alot of beautiful flowers around but there's this one flower that is a mix of all colors and its so beautiful because the color of this flower pops.
I use that same color and love it. I never thought about using a brush tho. I will have to tell my husband about that bc he is the one I sucker into dying my hair every 5 to 6 weeks. Lol...
I have wanted to try this color but I was always afraid it would be too burgundy. I like a brown color with like a burgundy overcast if that makes sense
Bahaha my man is also my hair dresser, he's so embarrassed and doesn't want me to tell anyone because he's actually super good at it! he's better than any of my girl friends when it comes to coloring. he hates helping me with straightening though.
I usually go with darkest brown. I have dyed my hair several times this color before going to red hair dye. But I did dye my hair red back in 2015 three times. Before I shaved my hair off. I didn’t dye my hair since 2015 until November of 2017 I did darkest brown again but a different brand. And it turned my hair black and I absolutely loved it. I dyed my hair darkest black back in January of this year and my hair dye is almost out of my hair. I noticed after about two weeks after I dyed my hair I started to see my natural light brown hair come through the dye and now it’s mostly out. I bought another box of darkest black dye. I wasn’t planning on it but the store I bought it from was going out of business and it was 10 % off original price I saved like $3 or $4 on the dye. I plan to re dye my hair tonight. I do use a shampoo and conditioner for color treated hair. The one I use is suave sheer color radiance. It was like $3 for a huge bottle. And for conditioner I use a hair mask from bath and body works.
Girl I love you but it killed me every time you said your hairline was your crown lol. Great video. I keep telling my Mum to colour her hair at home as it's so short and she spends a fortune at the salon. I'm going to send her this video to follow along with x
Girl, that hair length on you is amazing! Combined with the shape of your face, you look like a model. No bs. Loooove it! Totally giving me Shannyn Sossamon vibes.
I hope you don't chop your hair off. It looks so much better longer. I think the extremely short hair looks "harsh" and also ages. That's just my opinion, of course. Anyway, I truly enjoyed this video!
Garnier is my favorite brand for hair. I love the idea of using a brush to apply the dye. I just use my fingers or just squeeze the dye on and rub it around 😂😂 Snap Fam
I have never tried garnier but i use color from Sally's and it stays on 55 min! My grey is THAT stubborn. I only do the new growth and maybe 1 to 2x per year bring the color down to ends. You dont want to color your entire head each time. I have also had grey since 19! It is so much cheaper to use the color from Sally!!
I love this color! It looks so so good! I've been debating on coloring my hair too, and was wondering if this color bleeds onto like pillowcases or towels or anything lol. It's the only thing really keeping me from doing it!
So how long do you usually wait to redo roots for regrowth. This is one of my favorite brands and iv been so tempted to try this color. But my hairnis very dark brown.
Another tip use Vaseline don’t stain to ur ears, & skin apply to the skin before dye hair again cup paint get at Target $5 or Sally’s hair dye brush at Sally’s beauty or save from ur pervious dye kit wash it out reuse when dye hair latex glove & shower cap done dying ur hair cover ur head with shower cap if u have dollar tree where u live get some these things at dollar tree if have one ur area get news papers help from stain counter tops & flours what works for u dying ur hair
I've been getting grey hair since I was like 17 (I'm now 43). If I let it go, I'd be totally grey on the top of my head. Been coloring it since I was 18 and haven't looked back. Currently I color it at home but I mix my own color & developer with stuff from Sally beauty (I love the Ion brand quite a bit).
I haven't used hair dye for a long time,it is almost waist length and wiry and curly,I have used Belle and it smelled horrible,I had to use the dye on wet hair, couldn't possibly do it on dry Hair but I have never used this brand before, going to give it a try, really need to get a hair cut, thanks for this
And do i have to use certain shampoo after dying my hair? I remember my ex making me buy a certain conditioner for her and she said if she uses something else itll change her hair color
This hurts my heart as a hair stylist lol, but I understand you do what you gotta do! I plan on coloring my hair tomorrow to get rid of my new growth. Anyway, I love your videos and snaps! Thank you for being such an honest youtuber when you do reviews and tutorials!
Briana Bratcher I'm right there with you. My heart hurts and I can only sigh. I get people want to save money when it comes to coloring their hair, but the amount of ammonia in at home hair color is terrible. It makes me want to cry. Not to mention those that use black hair color and then come in wanting to go blonde.
SweetheartGmr story of my life! And when people don't understand that when they have REALLY dark hair and want to go platinum that it will be a few processes to get that light.
Espoir_88 Me too, at the salon they never get the color right, they don't understand my hair and how it takes color, it ends up too red . I also color and do highlights on my daughters hair. At the saloon they never get the highlights light enough without burning it, and they always turns out orangey 🙄 I also color my mums grey hair to have a natural light brown color, at the salon the always make her grey almost white hair too dark and unnatural. Not very happy about the nutrisse natural colors, they always pull too red. I always mix color to get the right shades for all of us. And I usually use ammonium free color.
It takes time for stylists to learn how your hair works. You know how your hair is but we havent lived with your hair your whole life and hair is very different from one person to the next.. So it take 3 or 5 visits or more to learn what works best for your personal hair. Some clients dont realize that and we are more than willing to fix any mistakes and make your color and cut exactly what you want but we cant read minds so you have to tell us! Were not all knowing hair wizards that know exactly what your hair needs as soon as we lay eyes on your hair. Annnywhooo just a stylists 2 cents.
Wait. I was following ur instructions till u started hsing the brush. This is my first time using hair dye and i just put it all over my hair like what i do with shampoo.... and my hairs pass my shoulder and its all over my skin. Shet... i hope i wont look like i have skin desease at work tomorrow. I want the purple on the surface on my hair and the inside black. I dont think i did it right butnill let u know after i shower
Ok i just finish showering but its not purple. I didnt read the instruction n didnt put on the thingi in the last container D on my hair before rinsing
Any good stylist would also tell you that if you color your hair, you should use a product without sulfate. This brand has sulfate so I'm not sure how it's keeping your color vibrant. Read the ingredients folks.

I love you girl but you're lying about the shampoo and conditioner. :( anybody that watches you knows you don't use that shampoo and conditioner. I'm disappointed
actually I do use it, I go between a few different shampoo and conditioner. How the heck would you know what I use on a daily basis? Just cause I showed a favorite set on snapchat a few months ago? Seriously? lol doesn't mean I don't use other products as well.
Young Wild and Polished only because you tell us that you don't wash your hair every day and you have said so many times that you use the Shea moisture rose one and you've actually said its the only one you use because you love it so much. And the reason I remember all of this lol is because you made me want to try it sooo bad. Honestly I do love you though. It's hard to sense tone in comments but I was responding like I would to a friend, like guuurl you lyin. No shade❤️
I always cut and color my own hair. So easy and so inexpensive. Loved seeing how you do yours.
I use these same colors! I always put Vaseline along my hairline and on my ears...that prevents any color from staining your skin.
i apply the conditioner it it comes with to my hairline and ears... always does the trick! lol
@@user-ib4lj2hd4v It worked for me too
What color is that?
I skipped some clip

Jennifer Myatt also if you don't do this.... Your ends will get black vs your roots!!

I do too AJ17 you can mix enough to do your roots then condition the ends... Saves money :) I never color clear to the end of my hair.
you look fabulous! I like your hair that way, you can always cut it, so play with it for awhile. Those nailbeds are fabulous!
hahah thanks girl! I'm trying!!!
I have been doing mine for many yrs now. I would be totally grey and I'm not ready for that one. So I keep mine going too. Thanks for sharing.
Love the color and the length of your hair Nicole. It looks great!

❤❤Hi! I've never ever used a brush. Always used my fingers ,with gloves on, for 10 yrs. Does it make a difference if you a brush? Serious question.
It's the same because in the end you have to wash it out, anyway. With the brush 🖌️ it feels better, but that's me.😊
Congrats on teaming up with Garnier! I've been loving your longer hair!! 😍😍😍

Glamour N' Nail which one deposits more color??
That Color is drop dead gorgeous on you!
Girl I love you but it killed me every time you said your hairline was your crown lol. Great video. I keep telling my Mum to colour her hair at home as it's so short and she spends a fortune at the salon. I'm going to send her this video to follow along with x
BelfastGrl yes! I kept thinking that is NOT your crown. Lol 😂
BelfastGrl 😂🤣😄 Crown!? That was so cute
Came to the comments just to say that haha good lookin' out. 🙏🏻
Samantha Adams the crown of your head is at the top of the back of your head.
Samantha Adams must be an American thing, here in the UK the crown is at the top of the back of the head. Just above the occipital bone.
Girl, that hair length on you is amazing! Combined with the shape of your face, you look like a model. No bs. Loooove it! Totally giving me Shannyn Sossamon vibes.
you're so sweet, thank you!!

Deborah M. Hmmm......I disagree, I think short hair is bold and striking, I like it:)
Garnier is my favorite brand for hair. I love the idea of using a brush to apply the dye. I just use my fingers or just squeeze the dye on and rub it around 😂😂 Snap Fam

Love watching you! I love your long videos too but when I don't have wifi I really enjoy the shorter videos 🙃
I love this color! It looks so so good! I've been debating on coloring my hair too, and was wondering if this color bleeds onto like pillowcases or towels or anything lol. It's the only thing really keeping me from doing it!
Do u wash your hair with shampoo 6to get the dye out or just the conditioner that was in the box?
I LOVE your hair longer! It's starting to take shape!!
haha finally!!! thanks love!!!
So how long do you usually wait to redo roots for regrowth. This is one of my favorite brands and iv been so tempted to try this color. But my hairnis very dark brown.
I've been wanting to try the cranberry whole blends. I'll have to grab it this week!💜💜🐫🐫
This has been said so many times but I Fxxking LOVE your channel! Always informatively, always fresh and ALWAYS entertaining. Simply awesome!
you're so sweet, thank you so much!!!
No hate here but when are we going to see all the makeup you swatch on snaps put to use? So longing for the amount of GRWM that you used to do 💔
I feel like i haven't seen you in forever!!!
I use garnier and I love it.
Hi, I guess you forgot about the after color conditioner. I wanted to know how you use it too.

Nice tip using the makeup brush. I'll be trying that. I ALWAYS miss some grays and it pisses me off 😂😂😂😂👍🏼
Looking good. I love the flipped up ends!
LOVING how your hair is getting so long!! Looks so good!
That color is SO pretty! Why do salons always say that home color is so awful for your hair? What is the difference actually?
Wow! Color came out great and so pretty.
You look good in any color of hair because of your pretty face.🤎👍
I love your hair, I hope you continue to grow it out just a little longer at least.
Do you use vaseline around your face or does that help at all with the coloring process in not getting your skin dyed?
Can we use the leftover for next time coloring?
I haven't used hair dye for a long time,it is almost waist length and wiry and curly,I have used Belle and it smelled horrible,I had to use the dye on wet hair, couldn't possibly do it on dry Hair but I have never used this brand before, going to give it a try, really need to get a hair cut, thanks for this
That look pretty good, I’m doing my beard now.
And do i have to use certain shampoo after dying my hair? I remember my ex making me buy a certain conditioner for her and she said if she uses something else itll change her hair color
Thank you so much .i have damaged hair and curly hair .can you please suggest me some shampoo and conditioner?
You are brave and kind! Thanks for sharing these!
hahah thanks for watching!!!

I cannot believe how long your hair is getting!
Hi, I have a question, hair could be orange after few day?
Your hair looks great. Good job growing it out. I'm growing mine out too and it's not easy.
ah it's such a pain!! Stick with it!! Thanks so much!!
Hello 😶How do you maintain your forehead from lines😯🙂

Love that length of hair on you!! 💕
Your hair looks great!

How long does this hair dye usually last?
What color is that one?😊

Hi lovely, does this color works on natural black

Any good stylist would also tell you that if you color your hair, you should use a product without sulfate. This brand has sulfate so I'm not sure how it's keeping your color vibrant. Read the ingredients folks.
Color looks nice on you
My hair is a horrible patchy brown I need a nice brown shade! I will give this brand a try I normally go to salon but I’m tired of spending money like thst
The salon made my hair patchy lol
What is your watch from?
Do you wash before
what color did it fade into?
ya hair looks bomb gurl
I used the V2 shade! :)
I can't afford to get my hair done professionally anymore. $200 is just to much right now :(
I love you girl but you're lying about the shampoo and conditioner.
No shade❤️
Young Wild and Polished ur soo rude
Young Wild and Polished and u 🤮
to grow your hair you need zinc and castor oil
you look gorgeous as usual
thank you Katie!!!
You are so cute hair color looks beautiful on you 😍👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
You're pretty, but it doesn't look any different. I like your technique. Never saw anyone use a makeup brush for application. Good idea. 👍
Putting that all up in my beard.
thanks Nicole
Gorgeous
Cut it? No, looks great the length it is.
❤❤❤❤ from Bangladesh 🇧🇩
I always color my own hair, I don't use a brush I just use my hand. It's really easy.
I've done that before too, I'm clumsy though so the brush keeps me in check hahaha
Fire ❤
