I think you showed that you totally understand the challenge and the meaning of the word "fantasy." The blade looks terrific, I love the fittings. You nailed it. I'm 1% disappointed that its attached to the handled by 2 cm of thread, but it isn't made for fighting.
I was coming here to say, he had the makings of a perfectly good tang, but cut it off to tap a little screw that is held to the handle by glue. It's pretty and I love the blade, but yeah, definitely a piece of art rather than a functional weapon.
@@nickdejager8873 came here to say the same as well.
It is a tragedy. Only thing I can imagine is that he was convicted to not go full tang. Who knows why. But likely because he didn’t want to make fully functional weapon of cruelty. And also maybe as a sign of respect to Japanese culture.
another good point to make... this blade is practical and isn't fantasy? it's actually INCREDIBLY efficient at what it does (creating a nearly impossible to seal/clot wound) hence why they're illegal in a lot of places...and if they're illegal... not fantisy?
Same here. 25% displeased on the hidden weakness. As art though I'd say it is spectacular.
What do you mean, not aesthetically pleasing? This is absolutely, fantastically, beautiful and extremely well done. I for one, love it! Don't discredit yourself, you've done some truly amazing work!
Lol man I came to write exactly the same thing you said haha
I think he just means it's not to his preference. Everyone has different preferences.
The tsuba is a bit thick for my taste but it's probably because i am used to iron tsuba and the way it's put together worries me a bit
But it's mostly due to personal preference
I think, he meant, that guard and handle not matching with the blade. Handle is a little bit to big, and guard a bit more
Not everyone is as easy to please as you. The blade is wonky, twists arent even, fittings are a little hap hazard. It's pretty cool but the finer eye sees a lot of issues.
Another fantastic entry for the competition. So many good looking and unique blades have been made. All of the makers should be very proud of themselves for pushing the boundaries and tackling tough projects to push the envelop further and further with this competition. Good luck and thanks for sharing you did an awesome job.
That guard cutting with a coping saw looked like an all day job
Yup, it was still slow in fast forward...
I knew and old guy who could do that whole guard in like 2-3hrs max. He was insane with a jewelers saw.. he made intricate brass fixtures and furniture for museum quality doll houses.. his family makes recreations of famous landmark buildings and whatnot and he’s been doing that since he was a young boy in the UK..
I have no patience or skill for that and I’d be at it for weeks!
I tried something much simpler once and my cuts were caddywhompus, crooked and 32 flavors of messed up. I still have the saw that the old man gifted me but I’ve never used it again. This made me think i should give it another go!
Are scroll saws not intricate enough or is it a finance space issue? Thats the idea behind them anyway.
There are metal cutting blades for scroll saws that would make that process go much much faster.
More than a day. He likely had to take breaks from getting tired
Adding an engraver's vice to your toolkit might be a good investment, especially if you plan to keep adding such nice work to future projects.
So, that is how to make a triblade. I need a press.
This like deadliest knife Jagdkomando.... Its easy to stab but too hard to fix the wound.... The reason why it's so deadly is because the design of the blade let's in alot of air into the wound before the blade comes out..increasing the bleeding and size of the wound...also making it impossible to stop the bleeding without a professional surgeon.
Wow, I can see why it's forbidden.
Wow that's impressive 💀 thanks for the information 👍
y'all remember bullets do that too right?
I would be more concerned about being stabbed than a little air in the wound
@@Bobcat173rd this isn’t a video about bullets
Gotta be honest, was slightly worried how well the damascus pattern would come out after the forging process, maybe because of the timelapse. But man, the finished blade is looking good :) And tbh thats probably the most beautiful and flawless brass guard I've ever seen, exeptional! Good luck at winning the challenge and thanks for sharing this video!
I think everybody will forgive you "not aesthetically pleasing knife" 😂 considering the fact that you show huge amount of skills! Metal casting, forge welding, tool making, handle wraping, knife making- Gader This is truly amazing how amazing things you can do from scratches!!
That guard is a whole nother level of gorgeous. Beautiful work!!
This twist is just awesome man! Such a challenge! 🙌
This was so neat to watch!! Makes me want to get into metalworking even more. I love seeing things like this be created. Great work! Keep it up buddy.
The techniques used to build this fantasy dagger were very interesting to watch in the video. The machining, etching, and aging/antiquing of the guard was spectacular! Thanks for the share of your build.
Very cool build! I love how you made something completely different from everyone else!
The work you put into the guard was tremendous and the end result is gorgeous! Nicely done, dude! 👍
Very nicely done! I love the variety of influences and the insanely good craftsmanship. Please continue post projects!
Watching the craftsmanship is just as incredible if not more so than the product which is stunning by itself but what it took to make it! I’m shook!
This whole build is incredible! That guard must have taken so much time and it came out beautiful!
looks good but i wouldnt fight with it, given the dinky screw holding it together.
@@ElectricalExistence Sure, I wouldn't want to skin game with it either. But seeing as how it was made for neither fighting nor skinning, I believe that it holds up well as a creation for entry into an artistic Fantasy Challenge.
@@No1Knows why make it if you aint gonna make it battle ready?
@@ElectricalExistence Art.
@@ElectricalExistence ye cuz in todays time you wouldn't wanna take a knife to a guns battle. Also you won't be going on streets and challenge a person with 1v1 knife fights. This knife is just an aesthetic and beautiful component that is just meant to see and it's art be appreciated
I love this build! The blade is really cool!
This is what handmade looks like. Seems I needed a refresher on real life. Thank you this was amazing.
It was fantastic seeing you going outside your comfort zone with this build!!
I think it’s a fabulous knife and I love how you incorporated all the materials to build it💪🏼 way to go!!
Spectacular skills, to say the least. Another masterpiece as expected! I don't envy the hours and hours you spent cutting that hand guard.
That turned out really great. I like how you added so many different skills in making it
A true artist is always harder on themselves then any form of external criticism. ❤
This guy is the definition of Patience.
Mamma mia! Un lavoro IPRESSIONANTE di traforo e cesellatura! Bravissimo, i miei più sinceri complimenti! Voterò sicuramente per te nella challenge, questo lavoro se lo merita!
one of the most interesting and unique knife creations i have seen. well done good sir, i look forward to seeing more cool creations like this
This tri twist kind of knife design is actually forbidden because the screws turn a normal stab wound into a gashing hole. Its near impossible to stop the bleeding form that wound so this type of blade was outlawed.
This guys skills are ridiculously good. didn't plan to watch this whole video. Amazing that people are capable of being that skilled
Incredible workmanship and attention to detail. Nicely done
adoro il fatto che tu sia italiano e amo la cosa che il mondo ti conosca; tralasciando il patriottismo, sei davvero bravo; complimenti.
You know, your long gas forge really comes in handy. I love to see that you actually use the things that you build to make beautiful projects with it. It is definitely a good recommendation for anyone who wants to build one too.
I love the uniqueness of the knife you made for the challenge. Outside of the box thinking.
You are amazing man! As a human I’m glad you’ve found something you love and you do it! That’s amazing
The blade and that hand guard are such beautiful pieces. Kudos man this one was on another level
Great build! Love the dedication you put in your work. The dagger looks much like one I own, hidden in the grip of a camel-whip. Got it in the seventies from an uncle who served in the army and was stationed in Africa at that time.
It may be to some esthetically not the most beautiful dagger, but it would be VERY effective in what it was designed for: mortally wounding any enemy.
I particularly appreciate the chrysanthemums in the guard; the symbolic significance is not lost on me! Outstanding work, sir.
2 things.
1: you obviously put effort into that guard, it looks great.
2: I know its a showpiece, but its really way better to have a tang. Even if it's theaded then welded on, it feels way better to have it immobile. Idk if you sell this stuff, but if you do you will get more from an imoblie rectangular tanged blade. Less movement=better feel.
Sorry to hear you weren't too happy with how it came out, but it's a beautiful piece, and obviously you put a tone of time and effort into it, and it shows.
So, so cool. Outstanding craftsmanship. Bravissimo!
I have never seen anything like this and I most seriously doubt that I could even dream this up! WOW!!!
Completely impractical, but utterly gorgeous.
What a brutally cruel weapon. Beautiful, but extremely inhumane.
wait until you hear what the CIA does overseas
Yes, in fact it is considered illegal also as a war weapon. It’s the same of gas weapons
@@matteovaudano5268 even the armies using it feared immediate execution upon capture
@@matteovaudano5268 bruh illegal war weapon??? thats the biggest oxymoron in the world how can something be illegal in war?? this is a war lol nothing is illegal
@tootaashraf1 There's literally a court devoted to war crimes. You'd have to try pretty hard to not know that, congrats.
You are crazy. This is amazing about details and everything !!! GG
One of the coolest knives I've seen in a long time.
Gives a new meaning to, “screw you”
Beautiful concept, flawlessly executed, as always, Sir. Thanks for sharing your work. Have a great weekend.
Thank you my friend! Have a great weekend you too!
Amazing process 🙏❤️
One of the most devastating short weapons I have seen. The like I gave this video is not for: " I would love to have one " its the thought and process of the foraging that I like. Excellent😘
Fantastic build. One question: can it be sharpened? All that twist seems to make THAT the final challenge!
you could sharpen it, but then it kinda sorta becomes a warcrime
just sharpen the point (not the edges). This dagger is not for cutting, but for stabbing.
@@cyy3793 actually, all blades are supposed to be sharpened as well as the tip. because the damage doesn't come from the stab its self, but the twisting of the blade
@@aidenluckey9957 all squares are rectangles but not all rectangles are squares.
@@christopherwhitaker7176 all thumbs are fingers but not all fingers are thumbs
Imagine trying to stitch up a wound by this dagger 😬
Thats why they were banned
If you could it wouldn’t matter because that person would be gone
@@Mr_Jack_Of_All_Trades_ the operation was successful but unfortunatly the patient died
You can't. I think that's the point
Finally, the Tri-tip dagger my bleed build needed, thank you
That guard process, damn that’s cool, very impressive work! Great build!
Incredible design and you sir could be on Forged in Fire 👌
How can someone order one? It’s magnificent!!!
So cool! Can’t wait to se another crazy craft like this one. 😊
What an Amazing process, amount of work and Result!! I belive, your fantasy will win this competition!!!! ☝👏
For those curious, the reason its forbiddon (and tri-bladed weapons like it) is because the grievous injuries done by them. Basically, the Y cut in the flesh is near impossible to stitch or treat so its basically a handheld war crime.
And imagine if they made it with serrated blades
Source?
I am always impressed with your projects, the quality of the video and editing.
Such craftsmanship! Impressive!
can u make kratos axe "god of war"
that would be sick bro
One thing I hate about forge videos is that majority of them don't test their final product, I mean if you made a knife atleast try to cut, stab something with it even a apple will do
I love this thing! Ive never seen a knife like it. I’m truly amazed!
Great work my dude.
Stunning! Amazing work!
Oh my god its GORGEOUS!!
You do an awesome job at everything you have on these video's. Thanks for the content.
Different. Interesting. Unusual. Fascinating. Incredible.
I really like the brass-work.
THE GUARD IS BEAUTIFUL AND THE WHOLE BUILD IS AWESOME
amazing craftsmanship and design.. what a talent you are blessed with.. such patience to learn and craft such items. congratulations.
This is a piece of work 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Now this is pure art.
This is unbelievable ! Well done, mate ! Respect from South of France !

Absolutely awesome!!!
That handguard is EXQUISITE! So beautiful.
That was some amazing scroll
work great build...
Great build and great video as always man!!
Such a craftsman. Kudos to you.
The detail is insane!
Discrediting yourself only goes on to show how much you respect the challenge and other blade makers, making your entry even more well-deserving of my vote. ❤
Beautiful dagger with all the little details very impressive!
Well done👍🏼
Excellent craftsmanship
This is amazing, i seen without skipping a second 👀 incredible work 💥
The video is very atmospheric. I really liked it too. I would be very happy if you rate my videos, maybe you will like them. I do jewelry. In one of the videos, I made a ring with sapphires from a titanium pipe.
Beautiful craftsmanship
This was really fun to watch. You are a master of manipulating metal. I was surprised to hear at the end that you didn't think the dagger looked good. I believe it looks awesome!
Bravo, c'est un travail juste sublime !!.
Wow that was incredible. You should be so proud of yourself
Phenomenal work, really enjoyed this video..!
OMG!! Amazing!!!❤️
The gaurd is amazing! Very impressed.
I just discovered your channel. You sir are beyond professional! Totally awesome job! Absolutely gorgeous knife. Thank you.

I LOVED the hand engraved guard

WONDERFUL JOB. TRUE ARTISTIC TALENT. I REALLY ENJOYED!
I thought the knife was perfect and unique. I was fascinated with how it was made with skill and imagination.
Beautiful work!.
I enjoyed every second of this video
The deadly blade of mall ninja legend!!! Watching you make the equilateral die was super cool!
Wow! Great job!!
