These kinds of forging videos are absolutely gold. Little to no talking at all, just the ambience of the forge, the press, the hammering. Straight up gold :)
Blade edge came out nice and sharp, but I wonder how hard the metal is and how long that edge will last? What does the hardness work out to on a Rockwell C scale?
@@cutelariaharpia Oh no, friend, don’t thank me, Thank God for the excellency of your talent!!🙏🏾❤️And if you haven’t considered it, I truly believe you would set new records on the Forged In Fire show!💯, I’ll be looking for you…! (bcuz I watch it all the time, even reruns!😆)👊🏽😇🙏🏾 P.S. Use this video when you apply for the show!
😍😍😍😍😍😍 wow. Just wow. The attention to detail to get the feathers of the damascus as pretty as the finished product is crazy. I want one! 🤑🤑🤑. Take my money!
This is what a forging video should be, I really appreciate the fact that you showed us the entire process and not just glazing over the repetitive parts - I’m here to watch the entire process and appreciate it I don’t want instant gratification, so I Thank-you for showing us it. I’ve been looking for sometime now to find a video that actually shows what you have and not glaze over it and show us and an amazing knife at the end (which yours definitely is) I don’t mind watching for an hour or whatever it takes (even this one was about 45 mins) so again Thank-you. Great work and an awesome video. Take care
Thank you very much! I have tried to show the entire process, as you said, without immediate satisfaction. I want to record the making of each piece so that you can watch all the necessary steps and understand how much work this involves.
Thank you very much! This knife was just for a collector, it will probably spend most of its life on a shelf...😁 Still, there are some people who use them.
@cutelariaharpia sir can you please give us some info how much did he pay? I don't mean it any other way than just a small child like curiosity and a guy who wishes to own one someday ❤❤❤
I had never said this or "written", IT IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL KNIFE I HAVE EVER SEEN, IT IS A WORK OF ART, A MASTERPIECE, I CONGRATULATE YOU, YOU ARE WITHOUT A DOUBT AN ARTIST.
Precision, you know what you are doing before you do it, a real sign of a master builder. A simple yet beautiful work. I do like the knife. Keep on keeping on.
For me that knife is one of the most beautiful works of knife makers art in Damascus I have seen, the form is tight and consistent from tip to hilt the shape of the knife and design matches the entire pattern perfectly, it's a real shame I can't afford such beautiful art, I take my hat off to you sir that is a job well done, that very few could match.
One day this piece will be found and put in a museum i feel :) Perhaps even with this exact video playing in the background, if it survives x) There will be peeps asking themeselves questions about the intricacies of the entire process, like what kind of polishing agent did the master cutler use or what specific chemical mix was used to make the pattern visible, all that stuff x)
The knife is an impeccable elven beauty.. I confess that in the trailing minutes of the video I held my breath while flinching at every stroke of the sharpening and polishing process on the blade, as meticulously as you did (B)(i)(U) without the safety gloves.. I am equally happy as I’m impressed that you were unhurt, at the end of the video!!
what a craftsman. what a work of Art.Fantastic.how many hours of skilled work by a true metal working master. And the handle was so well thought out …it fitted so well with the blade. Loved this video.THANK YOU.

Always loved feather. Damascus hard to do without a hydraulic press I have tried made some small Damascus knives in the past but now I'm old and swinging a hammer for hours at a time is over for me love your work absolutely beautiful thanks for sharing
That is beautiful, I wish I had the room and equipment to make Damascus. This is the first time I have seen the hidden pins, it sure lends to a much cleaner look. Great work as always, thanks for sharing.

39:28 this might be a dumb question but I worked in body shops over the years and when doing final sanding for polish. We would always use use a d.a.
